“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Today’s Life Lesson will make your joy complete. For My Holy Spirit in your spirit witnesses that you are My child and I am your “Abba, Father!” I am your Father forever. I will NEVER leave you or forsake you for you have chosen Me. I am the God of all comfort and tender mercies.
Look at the verses we have been considering individually as a whole for I want to reveal the truth to you that will give you understanding of who has perfect protection and how you guarantee you have that.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:12-18.
Do you notice the order? First, you BELIEVE in Jesus as Savior, Messiah, and Lord. As God and Man who gave His eternal life in the flesh, and the life is in the blood, to pay your judgment and satisfy your sentence. You are sinless in Him, and can stay that way by walking with Me in the Light. Remember, faith is the criteria for I so loved the world I gave My only begotten Son that all who BELIEVE in Him will never perish but have eternal life. That is good news of your salvation and you can by assured of eternal life.
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord. Luke 2:8-11.
Next, you believe in the Name of Jesus and He authorizes you to cast out demons, heal, and raise the dead in His Name as members of His body and His agents on earth.
Next, Jesus conditions all on loving Me, and showing your love by keeping My Word, being a doer and not a mere listener, that your love is sincere and not mere lip service.
What is Jesus looking at? Same that I am: Your heart. When you have a heart for Me then My Word gives you new birth because by receiving My Word, for I am My Word and My Word became flesh to dwell with you bodily in Jesus, as final authority and Lord of your life, you have put yourself under My jurisdiction as a “born again from above” citizen of My Kingdom. But I make you more than a mere citizen. You are a citizen who is a member of the royal family as My child and heir, seated on the throne with Jesus at My right hand as one with Me and all the family that is called by My Name in Heaven and on earth. You have come under My protection, My provision, and My predilection. I did not leave you an orphan. You have made yourself Mine and by doing so I have made Myself yours. It has pleased Me to give the little flock of Jesus the Kingdom as joint heirs with Him.
And how do you know that you are not orphans but I am there with you at all times forever? By the Spirit I have given you and by that gift I have poured My love into your heart. You are loved, protected, provided for, blessed, and favored in the Beloved Son. And in Him you have become My beloved child and the apple of My eye forever. And this is a joy no one can take from you for when you believed in the good news of your salvation I sealed you in Christ by the Holy Spirit as a pledge to you of My life in you and that I will glorify you spirit, soul and body.
What is the truth about your life as a believer?
For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:3-4.
In Christ, when He died to sin once for all, you by substitution died with Him, and when I raised Him from the dead, I raised you with Him because of His substitutionary sacrifice and death. You are seated with Him in your spirit at My right hand even now.
With My Spirit in you witnessing with your spirit that you have Me as your Father and testifying to you that your sins and offenses I remember no more, you can truly sing and shout with joy: You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my Salvation.” Psalm 89:26.
I am your secret place. In Christ you are deep within My bosom, My heart, My very core. John 1:18; John 14:3. You are secure in your Father who loves you.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:15-19.
Even is everyone in the world should forsake you, even if you live alone and have no parents, no children nor spouse, I am your spouse, I am your Father, and all who do My Will are mother, sister, and brother to Jesus.
“Looking about at those who were sitting around Him, Jesus said, “Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.” Mark 3:34-35.
I am a friend to the lonely (“I call you friends,” John 15:15), a husband to the widow and the rejected wife, a father to the orphan, I give a home to the lonely and lead prisoners out to prosperity. I heal the broken hearted, and bind up their wounds so they are healed. I set the captives free and release those in prison. In Jesus you are made whole and complete. I restore the years the devil stole.
How do I do all these things? I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from all destruction. Psalm 107:20. I only have the jurisdiction over you to do all these wonderful things if you will receive My Word and abide in it. If you reject My Word, you reject Me and change your jurisdiction to the one whom you serve. That is what Adam and Eve did. They changed their jurisdiction from My Kingdom of light to the realm of darkness.
“Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods; therefore I will no longer deliver you. Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your distress.” Judges 10:13-14.
You understand this in the temporal world. If you live and are a citizen in a foreign country, you cannot call upon the president of the United States to send the U.S. army to protect you or put you on the welfare system of the United States at your demand. A country in which you are not a citizen or a lawful resident cannot justifiably send their army in to protect you, they have no jurisdiction to do so. And even in the judicial system, you cannot get the benefits of a court by filing a lawsuit there if you do not first agree in your pleading to submit to the jurisdiction and service of process of the court.
When you receive Jesus as your Lord you are released from all your sins by His blood and you are regenerated by the Holy Spirit into a new creation in Christ through the water of the Word
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:3-7.
The Holy Spirit baptizes you into Jesus and Jesus then baptizes you in the Holy Spirit. And the result? You are no longer an orphan, but a beloved son, inseparable from Me. You are with Me always and everything I have is yours. The Son has a place in his Father’s house forever and you are in Him.
I love you. I am your Father. I am the God of tender mercies and all comfort. Each morning My mercies are new. I have hold of your hand.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3.
