“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:25-26.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
As we continue looking at line upon line and precept upon precept of the truths, i.e., “these things,” that reveal the very core of your existence and future glory that Jesus spoke to you the night of that Last Supper in His sojourn among you in accordance with the flesh, the more you see and know of My thoughts and ways.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9.
But I did not leave it there. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your ways and thoughts so I could raise you up with Jesus to be One with Me in thought, word and deed forever. And that is Covenant. When people or nations join in Covenant the stronger and greater one shares all he has with the lesser one so that everything the greater one has becomes available to the lesser one and together they unite in purpose, goal, and power. Each one makes the other complete.
“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD. “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:20-21.
My Words have My life in them. That is why you feel so alive as you hear My Words. They revive you and cause you to grow, mature, and thrive, but there is something else you must have with the seed of the Word that plants in your heart to understand, remember, persevere and become immovable, more than a conqueror, in Me. Without this the Word does come to fruition and produce the manifestation of the harvest of the promise in your life. You need revelation that empowers, you need a teacher to explain and fan it into flame, you need for the Word to ignite in your heart, in other words, you need the faith that moves the mountain. And that only comes one way: a personal revelation of who I am and the power that fills you with that knowledge in our Covenant relationship. Yes, it is all there for you in My Word but the revelation thereof so it becomes your word does not come by the power or might of the flesh but by My Spirit in you and on your forever. And that is what Jesus is telling you today:
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:25-26.
In the beginning I spoke the Word and everything came to be as I spoke it into being, but who was there to bring that Word into manifestation? My Holy Spirit. The Word is Me and My Son and the Holy Spirit is the revealer and manifester. No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3.
The Word was spoken to Mary and she received it, but how did the Word come to pass? The Holy Spirit hovered over her as He did at the creation of all things and He took the substance of her faith combined with the truth of the Word spoken, which contains My faith, and brought it into manifestation. My Word is Spirit and life. The power is the Spirit and the truth is the life.
Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:34-35.
The Word is the Way, the Truth, and the Life but the Holy Spirit is the “how” (the power) of how it comes forth from word to manifestation.
You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth. Psalm 104:30.
I watch over My Word to perform it. It is Spirit-breathed.
Jesus is My Word and knew My Word, He was teaching the teachers of the Law when He was twelve years old, but He worked no miracles until He was filled with the Holy Spirit in His baptism at the Jordan, led into the wilderness, and came forth filled with the power that was present for Him to perform healing, cast out demons, and raise the dead by My Word.
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38.
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil . . . And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding district. Luke 4:1;14.
The Holy Spirit will teach you all things and remind you of all I have said just as He did for Jesus in His humanity, as one like you emptied of His powers as God for your sakes, humbling Himself to death, death on the cross. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to overcome every attack (move) of the devil as He did Jesus in His humanity and give you the Word with which to respond to send the devil fleeing.
And Jesus went about in the power of the Spirit, preaching, teaching, and healing. People thronged about Him to HEAR and be HEALED.
Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place; and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great throng of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were being cured. And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them all. Luke 6:17-19.
Faith comes by hearing My Word and that is the substance the Holy Spirit can work with to perform that Word so it does not return to Me void but achieves the purpose for which I sent it.
One day He was teaching; and there were some Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present for Him to perform healing. Luke 5:17.
But thought the power was present, only the ones who received it by faith were able to have it manifest in them.
And I have given you the promise of My Spirit in you and on you and Jesus obtained that promise and poured Him down on you. To receive My Spirit within, you had to have a living spirit to unite with Him. And when you were born again from above by My Word your heart became alive to Me and dead to sin and you could receive.
After being raised from the dead, if you recall, Jesus came into the upper room and showed them Himself and they believed in the resurrection and acknowledged Him as Lord. Then He breathed on them and joined their spirits with His, with the Holy Spirit. They became one Spirit in Him and had access to Me by the one Spirit. All believers it is the same access to Me, the Holy Spirit and it is Jesus who baptizes you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
But the great day when the Holy Spirit rushed upon the earth from Heaven to clothe you in power from on High like a cloak came the day Pentecost was fulfilled. The disciples saw Jesus go up and like Elisha with Elijah, the mantle fell and the greater works began.
I love you. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things and remind you of all Jesus told you.
And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.” John 12:44-50.
