I will hear what God the Lord will say; for He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land. Psalm 85:8-9.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I speak of shalom to My people. My glory dwelling in your land. Live in the land of glory right where you are. Come up higher.
Today I would like to show you more on how to live in My world while in this world. And I want to open My Word to you in Psalm 85.
Start with line 8, it begins, “I will hear (shama) what God the LORD will say.” Solomon asked Me for a hearing heart. You can do the same for My sheep hear My voice, and you will hear if you listen. For I awaken you morning by morning, I awaken your ear to listen (shama) as a disciple. Isaiah 50:4. And if you are truly My disciple you remain (abide, continue, meditate (hagah: speak, mutter, utter, ruminate)) in My Word and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32. Free to live on a whole new level filled with the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
And then line 8 of Psalm 85 continues: “for He will speak peace (shalom) to His people, to His godly ones.” I speak of shalom. I know well the plans I have for you, plans for your shalom and not for evil, a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11. And when you pray to Me and cast your cares on Me about everything, then I speak peace to you, and My peace which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts (above all guard your heart with all diligence for from it flows the springs of life, Proverbs 4:23) and your minds in Christ Jesus (put on the helmet of Salvation). Philippians 4:7.
In My realm peace unshakeable filled with glory pervades the atmosphere. And My Kingdom is within you. You are always walking in My realm when I am in you by My Spirit.
And it is to My people—to My godly ones, My saints as Paul called all believers, that I speak plans of shalom. My Kingdom is a Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17. You need to live your life there by pursuing the things which make for peace and building up one another. Romans 14:19. Walk according to love. Romans 14:15. Seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14.
And who are the godly ones? Those whose hearts are turned towards Me. Those who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked (the godless ways of the world) nor stand in the path of sinners (you should not even go there but walk with Me on the highway of holiness where the redeemed walk, Isaiah 35:8-11, and Jesus is the way to Me), nor sit in the seat of scoffers, but whose delight is in My teaching (My Words) and in My Law (the perfect law of liberty, James 1:25), and abides in it will be blessed in what he does. Psalm 1:1-3, James 1:25-26. The godly man meditates (hagah) My Words day and night, and he yields fruit in due season and whatever he does prospers. Psalm 1:3.
And line 8 of Psalm 85 continues and concludes, “but let them not turn back to folly.” The fool says in his heart there is no God. Do not begin to live in the higher realm where Jesus is at My right hand and where I have seated you in Him and then turn back to the ways of the world. Do not let the thorns of life entangle you to leave My Word and return to the words of the world that say the gospel is foolish and urge you to live selfish wasted lives spent only on seeking your own glory and comfort at the expense of others. Fools do not wander on the Highway of Holiness. Isaiah 35:8. It is for those that walk the Way. My apostle Peter understood this and he wrote: “For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.” 2 Peter 2:20, Matthew 12:43-45. And he added, “It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A dog returns to its own vomit,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:22. And Paul wrote to Timothy: “Make every effort to come to me soon; for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica.” 2 Timothy 4:9-10. And My beloved John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, advised you to avoid this and stay in My realm, “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” 1 John 2:15-17.
But let us return to Psalm 85 and go on to the next line. “Surely His Salvation is near to those who fear Him.” I tell you often that the “fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,” and that the fear of the LORD is to hate evil. “How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights in His commandments.” Psalm 112:1. Paul defined “fear of the LORD” as the desire to please Me no matter where you are, whether in the body or out of it. And what pleases Me? My prophet Micah put it this way: “to do justice, to love chesed (My grace and lovingkindness), and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8. I resist the proud but give grace to the humble. I show the humble My Way. I show you My Salvation—Yeshuah—Jesus. And He is very near to you. He is with you always.
And line 9 of Psalm 85 continues: “that glory may dwell in our land.” Glory comes from Yeshuah. He is the lamp that lights Heaven. Revelation 21:23. My glory shines on His Face and He is the radiance of My glory and the exact representation of My divine nature. Hebrews 1:3. And My glory is the manifestation of My goodness, My presence and My power. Jesus went about doing good and healing all were oppressed by the devil and He was filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and I was with Him. Acts 10:38. In seeing Him you saw Me. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among you and you have seen His glory, the glory of My only begotten, full of grace and truth. John 1:14. Which leads to the next line of Psalm 85: “Chesed (grace, lovingkindness, favor) and truth have met together.” Grace and truth come to you in Jesus. They fused into one in Him. John 1:17.
And Psalm 85 continues: “Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” Yes, in Jesus, I made Him who knew no sin to be sin so that in Him you become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21. And He has reconciled you to Me, making peace through the blood of His cross. Colossians 1:20. And in Him, I have put your sins as far from you as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:11-13. And this may surprise you if you have not read it in Hebrew but in Psalm 2 I tell you to kiss the Son! Psalm 2:12. Remember Song of Songs? There the Son kisses you, “Let Him kiss me with the sweet kisses of His mouth, for your love is better than wine!” Song of Songs 1:2. Do not get drunk on wine in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18. On the morning of Pentecost, when the believers received the Holy Spirit and were filled therewith, people thought they were drunk. I pour My love in your hearts by the Holy Spirit, who is My gift to you. My love fills your heart. It is better than wine
“Truth springs up from the earth (the humanity of Jesus) and righteousness looks down from Heaven (the divinity of Christ).” Psalm 85:11.
“Indeed, the LORD will give what is good.” Psalm 85:12. Every good thing and perfect gift comes down from Me, the Father of lights, in whom there is no darkness or shifting shadow. James 1:17. It has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom. “And our land will yield its produce.” Psalm 85:12. “In the exercise of His Will, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. James 1:18. You are the branches, My Son is the vine, and I am the vine dresser, and when you remain in His Word and His Words remain in you, then you bear much fruit—fruit that will endure. And the fruit? It is good works, beautiful thoughts, creative designs, buildings, and writings. I prepared a life of good deeds for you in advance in Christ Jesus that you might walk in it. Ephesians 2:10. Let your light shine before men so that they may see goodness in your actions and give praise and glory in thanksgiving to Me.
And Psalm 85 concludes: “Righteousness will go before Him and will make His footsteps into a Way.” Jesus, the LORD your righteousness, and He is the Way—the only way to Me. Follow His footsteps and walk in love, because where He is, there will My servant be. Follow Him as a disciple and abide in His Word until you know the truth and the truth sets you free. Free to run the Way of My Word with joy. For I will raise you up on eagle’s wings and you will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint. Isaiah 40:31. Wait on the LORD and I will pluck your feet out of the snare.
I have forgiven all your iniquity and removed all your sin. Psalm 85:2. “I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22. You have found a ransom. It is the One who came to do My Will and give His life as a ransom for the many so that you could have eternal life free from all fears or insecurities.
I love you. Come up higher and live with Me all day every day and all night every night. Let Me direct your steps at all times. Then you will soar with eagle’s wings. Mine. I ride the clouds of heaven. Come join Me and get a whole new perspective every day. I behold everything on the earth. And I am at work towards a glorious end that is only the beginning. Stay with Me and do not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife.
