But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. Matthew 6:33.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20,

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

I tell you to seek first the Kingdom of God and My Righteousness and everything you need will be there for you at every moment of your life forever. What does it mean to seek? How do I know who is seeking Me? I simply look at what is on your mind, that is, in what direction your heart is turned and what fills it. Your preoccupation becomes your occupation. You will know what you are seeking by what is on your mind. If your mind is an anxious mind musing on how you are going to get what you need in your life and your heart is filled with worries about your future, you are NOT seeking Me. You are after the things of the world.

Seek Me first. Put Me in the center of your life and everything else spins around that. If you are Kingdom minded that will affect how you work, how you relate to others and act in your family or wherever you are. It is not putting everything aside and pursuing Me alone on some high mountain or 24/7 in the sanctuary of a church, it is being aware of Me at every moment in how you respond, what you do, who you talk to and what you talk about, how you study, how you teach, and where you go. Seek Me early, that is, before you get in a mess, before you are in an accident, before you start your day.

As long as you seek Me, everything else will come at the right time. So you see it is important to seek. How? Take a look at Psalm 1 and you will know how to seek Me and you will understand the result is what you have been trying to get in all the wrong ways.

Psalm 1 begins, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!” Well, it starts with where you should not be looking for how to run your life. The unbelievers run after the things of the world with no thought of Me and they are in a cycle that will never end (hamster wheel) because the place they are seeking of security and peace is not obtainable in the world system because you are driven by things and not things being driven (dominion authority) by you. The world is ruling you and not you ruling the world. So do not begin your day with the news and talk shows filled with idle godless chatter that is devoid of heavenly wisdom, and even worse, they lead you subtly into sexual immorality, perversion, and addictions. And you do not want to scoff about others or things, for as you judge so are you judged and the measure with which you measure will be measured back to you. I tell you to pray for government officials, leaders and all men and not to judge and scoff at them.

So if you are not to base your life on the counsel of the ungodly and “doing your own thing” if it feels good to you, remember the chaos and atrocities that resulted when each person did what he thought was right and lost touch with My Word in the Book of Judges, then where are you to turn? The answer is simple, to My Words and counsel, and My Words impart faith, healing, wisdom and understanding. So you see from the next line of Psalm 1, it is the man who delights in My Word, which is My law (My Word is spiritual law, the perfect law of liberty, do it and you shall live, I mean really live) and meditates in it that is blessed. That is, the one whose “delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.” Meditation begins with My Word and then you chew on it and are aware of it all day as you go about the business of life. To put it simply: you read a passage of My Word in the Bible, pray over it (which means talk with Me about it) and receive light as to how it applies in your situation and life. You have My Holy Spirit in you, the wonderful counselor, who guides you to all truth and leads you in the way you should go. He shares My thoughts and My insights with you giving light to you as you hear and read My Words. It is I who teach you to prosper. You give to receive and I will show you where and how and what to do. I will give you insight beyond your teachers and companions who are not seeking Me. My Word is a rich resource for you, in My Word are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The revelation of My Word gives light and understanding.

Meditate on My Word. See yourself doing the works of Jesus. Imagine yourself witnessing as you go to work or in the store. Imagine yourself healing a sick relative or family member and look at the way Jesus did it to learn how. He is the originator and finisher of your faith. All day keep your eyes on Him as your teacher, shepherd and guide. How? By remembering what He told you of how to conduct your life when you reach a crossroad in your day or simply are chatting with a co-worker or stranger at the store, have an ear tuned to Me in your heart. And My Holy Spirit in you will remind you of all Jesus’ said, but notice it is “remind,” so that denotes you have been diligent in setting a time aside to read My Word so that you are familiar with My ways of doing things and what is the best way to get the results you want. Such as you conquer evil with good and not with vengeance and retaliation. In My Word you will find that I tell you what to think upon and what to pray about. I give you a lot of teaching and guidance if you are interested to seek it, when you find My Words you find life—they are spirit and life, and the measure you put into studying it and pondering it is the measure of the harvest that will come back to you. Be careful what you hear and guard your heart, for from it flow the issues of your life. If you sit with scoffers and godless men you will become ungodly and your life will be unfruitful for the Kingdom. If you sit with people of faith and join in prayer and intercession, addressing each other in admonitions from My Word, psalms, hymns and spirit songs you will prosper and bear fruit in works of excellence.

And what is the result of seeking Me in My Word and having faith for it to produce the result it holds in your life? Look back at Psalm 1 and you will see that you will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever you do, you prosper. Psalm 1:3.

When you seek Me with all your heart, you shall find Me right there with you. Seek and you shall find. And as you seek Me early, that is, before you make the decision of who to marry, what job to take, where to move, how to invest, where to give your tithes and offerings, and even what to buy at the grocery store, you will find that I give you wisdom and understanding far beyond what you can know and do on your own or by listening to the counsel of the ungodly and the wicked. Look for godly counselors whose lives are fruitful. You will know them by their fruit, for not everyone who claims to be godly is, some are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Be careful how you walk. I give you the gift of discernment if you seek Me early, before you signed the contract or followed the advice. Check out all things with My Word and if they are contrary to My Word, reject them. My Word should be your light and ultimate authority.

And if you are seeking Me, I know it. I know those who are My own. I know whose hearts are turned to Me and I show Myself strong on their behalf.

And why do I know if you are seeking Me? It is true that I know all things and even before a word is on your tongue I know the whole of it—your thoughts to Me are just as loud as your spoken words, sometimes louder, remember Sarah at the door of the tent? I heard her thoughts as words spoken—but there is more. I know who is seeking Me because I am seeking you. I stand at the door of your heart, your inner being, and I knock to be invited in. And if you are seeking Me, you open the door and let Me in to share fellowship, partnership, and Covenant with you. And then I remain and make My dwelling place with you and you with Me and My house becomes your house forever.

I love you. Seek Me early and you will never be ashamed. And remember, I reward those who seek Me. Your reward is very great, for I know if you are reading this now, you are seeking Me. And I am seeking you. We will do great things together. You in Me and I in you.
