Our October Meeting is Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the peaceful and peace-filled St. Anthony Retreat Center in Kalihi Valley, 3351 Kalihi Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm! We meet in the St. Damien House, just make a right turn when you enter the retreat center grounds and you will be in the parking lot for the St. Damien House. Bring a dish to share for lunch, but don’t worry if you cannot bring one, we usually have so much good food that it is amazing. Thank you to all of you who are so generous with you culinary talents!
I was so pleased to see so many new faces as well as long time friends in Christ at our September meeting. It was a most wonderful and joy-filled meeting. Thank you to all who came.
We have started up our TV show, “Good News for You,” again (we originally began it in March of 2009 but were off the air for about a year) and our TV team has already filmed six shows since September 8, 2019. Our prison ministry team will begin a series teaching and sharing the good news of the Kingdom in the Federal Detention Center on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Let me know if you want to participate in the next training session at the prison for new volunteers if you are interested in joining us in this wonderful ministry.
Our home for those with no home is growing. We now will have three residents so we are looking to enlarge. I may have good news soon and one of the residents is prospering so in the Lord that she is ready to help with the rent if we rent a new apartment! If any of you wish to help in this ministry with offerings or furniture for the new place there is great reward in sowing in this ministry– it even promises in the Bible that it will make your bones strong! Isaiah 58:11. Sow your seed with a definite intention and watch the harvest grow in your life. Be particular when you sow your offering seed and make sure you target it for a desired harvest.
What a wonderful time to live! A time when it has pleased the Father to give us the Kingdom! Luke 12:32. Jesus came preaching the good news of the Kingdom so that we would no longer live as the world does but enjoy Kingdom living even now. We are in the world, but we are not of the world, our government is in Heaven. Philippians 3:20.
In the Kingdom system, impossible things are possible! Bread and fish multiply a thousand fold, the dead come back to life, you find the amount to cover your taxes in the mouth of a fish, blind eyes see, the lame walk, the sick are healed, captives are set free, broken hearts are healed, and the poor prosper! Since the Father has given those in Christ the Kingdom, isn’t it time we renewed our minds to receive it?
When you own something you don’t beg for it. You just take it and use it without worry and without fear. You own it so it is yours and if someone tries to take it away, you will fight for it, even going to court if you have to in order to have it restored to you as its rightful owner. No one has a right to take something you own without your permission. And you have full control over things you own. You don’t beg to put on your clothes each morning, you just decide what you want to wear and pull it out of your closet and put it on. You need no one’s permission to take, use, and enjoy what is your own.
It has pleased God to give you the Kingdom. Have you never read, “Do not live in fear, little flock, it has delighted your Father to give you the kingdom.”? Luke 12:32. Jesus told you this and He is God’s Word and the Father speaks to you directly through Him. In seeing Him, you see our loving and gracious Father. And He has given you the Kingdom. And in His Kingdom is everything He has. And, furthermore, as if that would not be enough, He gave you His Son and He has put in Jesus’ hands all that is the Father’s. And in Jesus, the Father made all the magnificent promises He gives us in His Word “yes” to you. You are heir of the world, which God made for the children of men, and you are the owner of every good thing and perfect gift that comes down from the Father, from His Kingdom, as well as all that is in Jesus, which includes all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. But many of you are acting like beggars who own nothing, similar to the prodigal son’s elder brother who acted like a begging slave but in reality he was with his Father always and EVERYTHING the Father had was his, he only needed to take it, use it, put it on, and consider and treasure it as his own.
In the Kingdom of God there is healing, and He promises you healing so many times in the Bible, Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 103:3; Psalm 107:20; 1 Peter 2:24, so you own healing. Thus, you should not fear when an illness, disease, or infection comes against you and tries to invade your body, you own healing, it was bought and paid for so you would be its owner by the painful scourging of Jesus. Arrest that illegal activity and undo it by rebuking it and casting it out, you have been redeemed, and then pull healing out of your abundant storehouse (in Christ) and apply it, put it on, and be healed and healthy. In the Kingdom of Heaven there is no pain, and Jesus paid the price by bearing your pains, so you own freedom from pain, it is legally yours, bought and paid for and in your account. So just arrest the illegal activity, rebuke it, and take what you own and apply it.
In the Kingdom there is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. And the Lord told you that in Christ He has taken away your sins and given you His own righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21. So never say you are not righteous, for you own the righteousness of God, and there is none higher. There is peace in the Kingdom, perfect peace, and Jesus gave you that peace, so you own peace. Be anxious for nothing, pull out your peace and put in on. And what do you have to be anxious about when you own the Kingdom? There is plenty in the Kingdom and more than plenty. Even when you have all you can hold there are still twelve baskets full left over, John 6:8-13, and even more, as many as the containers you bring. 2 Kings 4:1-7.
And there is fullness of joy in the Kingdom—pure joy with no sorrow in it. And God anointed Jesus with the oil of joy and His anointing flows on you as a member of the Body of Christ, the anointed one. And He gave you His joy by sharing God’s Word with you so that your joy would be full, running over and anointing others too. Next time your emotions try to make you say you are sad, sorrowful and wretched, one to be pitied, just go to your rich storehouse, your Kingdom account—which you own—and put on the oil of joy, it has a lovely, heavenly fragrance! And you might as well pull out the mantle of praise and put it on because it is part of the new wardrobe you were given when you were born again, along with the garments of salvation and the robe of righteousness, not to mention the beautiful crown of life! Isaiah 61:3,10. And never forget the full armor of God, which is now your own to put on anytime, anywhere. Ephesians 6:10-18.
And in His Kingdom there is justice. No weapon formed against you will prosper and every tongue raised against you, you will prove false, for the LORD is your righteousness and He will vindicate you. Isaiah 54:17. God will give you words and a wisdom no one can take exception to or contradict. Why? Because He has given you the Kingdom and you own all that is in it. Established in righteousness (remember, you own it) you are far from oppression. Isaiah 54:14.
When you already own something you do not worry about obtaining it. That would be foolish. You already have full right to possession and use. You don’t keep working hard to earn something you own. What would be the point? A useless waste of time. And yet many people are wasting precious time wearing themselves out doing works that God never assigned them to do to obtain God’s favor by obtaining their own righteousness when they could spend that time taking what they own and using it to do mighty works for the Kingdom to increase God’s authority on earth and set others free to Kingdom living. If you are begging God to heal you and “trying” to be “good” to earn His approval, you have no idea of what you own or who you are in Christ. You have no idea of the good God has stored up for you that He gave you in Christ Jesus. You do not understand that you are forgiven and your sins and offenses He remembers no more. You do not know who you are in Christ and all God has freely given you in and with Him. He gave you His Son and with Him He gave you everything besides, including the Holy Spirit to dwell in you and be with you forever.
Add that to your inventory list! God has given you Jesus, John 3:16, and He came to serve you (and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever), God has given you the Holy Spirit to dwell in you and be with you forever, and God has given you the Kingdom. Well, if He gave these to you, you own them! His gifts and His call are irrevocable. You own Jesus and can live your life through Him and reign through Him in life. 1 John 4:9, Romans 5:17. You can put on Christ and make no provision for the flesh in regards to its lusts. Romans 13:14, Galatians 3:27. You can be rooted and grounded in Him and draw all you need from Him as the branch on the vine! You own the Holy Spirit who lives in you and gives life to your mortal body and shares God’s deepest thoughts with you. And you own the Kingdom—all the good things in it! God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus. You can do all things in Him who strengthens you. Stop saying you have nothing. Stop seeing yourself poor and lacking. Stop saying you are weak. God says, “Let the weak say I am strong (a champion hero).” When you took Jesus as your LORD, everything became yours! You own everything you need and more for life and godliness. If you believe the Bible you have to know that is true. It is impossible for God to lie. It is time to take possession of your possessions and stop begging and cajoling God for what He already gave you freely in Christ. Come with confidence to His throne of grace and RECEIVE it (in Greek, “lambano” which means to take it as yours). Hebrews 4:16.
Renew your mind to ownership and it will change your life. Repent and believe the good news of the Kingdom! For we will all perish if we do not repent, that is, renew our minds out of the darkness of the world system where hate, envy, violence, fear, anxiety, depression, hoarding, and anger are the norm as one seeks to merely survive with no vision, to the Kingdom system where love, compassion, confidence, peace, joy, giving, and peace are the rules and survival is not an issue since you are well supplied to live your vision. And once your mind is renewed and you no longer walk like those in the world with their minds darkened to the Light, you will draw close to God in joy and walk with Him in love. You will be fascinated by His love and amazed each day how easily you can flow in His plan even though you are still walking in a world where you are surrounded by the shadow of death. For the end of the present age has not come yet. But no fear! For He is with you with His rod and His staff that give you courage and He will provide a table of plenty in the midst of your enemies, fill your cup until it overflows and pour the oil of the anointing on your head that destroys the yoke and lifts the burden.
He fills your days with good things. That is, if you will let Him. They are yours already, remember? He gave you His Son, His Holy Spirit, and the Kingdom, and He gave you all this in Jesus. Look for good things each day and expect them. You own them already; God prepared a life of good needs for you in advance in Him that you might enjoy your life and be BLESSED all the days of time and the day of eternity.
If you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more the Father will give them to you. For He made everything and He can do anything. Nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing is impossible for Him. And He has entrusted to you dominion over the work of His hands. Psalm 8:6.
When God told Sarah that He would give her the desire of her heart and she would have a baby by the next year, she laughed at the impossibility of it. But God asked why she laughed. She denied doing it, but she had. But He asked her why she would laugh—nothing is too hard for Him. If God tells you something, no matter how impossible it looks, if you will only believe that it is yours then you will see it come to pass. Most of us never take advantage of so many of God’s promises because we don’t understand what He has given them all to us already from the moment we received His Son as Lord (it is then you are justified and legally receive the Kingdom) and they seem impossible to us, though we read in Ephesians that He has already blessed us with every blessing, so we do not call them in. We simply do not take and use what we have. We own healing and can apply it any time, but so many of us sit and beg God for healing when we already own it. Strange. We still do not know what we have. What would you think of an owner of a business who had never taken inventory and kept no records of what was his? Or a rancher who did not know the number of his herds and flocks? Proverbs 27:23. Or a landowner that had no idea of the area of his land? And yet many of us have no idea of what it means that the Father has given us the Kingdom, we have never taken inventory so we think we own nothing when we are rich beyond measure. David sang to his soul not to forget any of God’s benefits, and then he lists them to keep them in mind. Psalm 103:1-5.
God gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. Romans 4:17, Genesis 1:1 You call things into being all the time. If you want a pizza, you can call in and order a pizza delivery and soon it manifests in a delivery to your home. You called it in. You call your cat, your dog, even your children to come home and they come. You call them to come for dinner, and they come. You call for a cab and numerous other things, and they come. Well, God already paid the price in Jesus for your healing, your redemption, your forgiveness of sins, your freedom from shame and guilt and addictions, and eternal life. All you have to do is call it into your life because you own it already. If you don’t call upon it, it won’t necessarily come. The Father wants you to call in every one of His magnificent promises and enjoy them yourself for they are already yours and are all “yes” to you as owner in Christ Jesus.
Taste and see the goodness of the LORD, happy the man who takes refuge in Him, for He is with you always and you are with Him always, and EVERYTHING He has is yours. God held nothing back from you for He has an infinite supply. He is not worried it will ever run dry. He just says the Word because He ultimately owns it all. And He has given it all to you when you come under His authority by taking His Son as your Lord. Your part is to keep His Word, to renew your mind to not conform to the world—for He has called you apart to be holy and given you the grace to be so. Remain, continue, live, abide in His Words, do not turn aside from them, and you will be sanctified by the truth and the truth will set you free. If you have never been perfected in truth, you will have fear and you will beg for things you already own instead of taking them and applying them. When you know the truth, that is, that in Christ the Father has given you the Kingdom, it sets you free to be the saint He called you to be. If you are still basing your life on the law of sin and death, you will be fearful, but He has set you free from that by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1-2. That is the law you must operate under now. It is as different from the law of sin and death as the law of lift and thrust is from the law of gravity. Under one you plod along on the ground, weary and worn, under the other you fly through the skies above the clouds to your destination swiftly on the flow of the wings of the wind. You choose. Death and life are in the power of your tongue, but it all starts by renewing your mind to know what you own. Romans 12:1-2. What you already own you don’t beg for and you don’t work to earn it. You simply take possession of it. Come with confidence to the throne of grace and take what is yours with thanksgiving and joy. With joy you will draw water from the springs of Salvation. Isaiah 12. Why? You own it. Luke 11:13. That is why the LORD tells you that you can drink of the water of life without cost. Isaiah 55:1; Revelation 22:17. He paid the price in Jesus and gave it to you freely. 1 Corinthians 2:12. You own it.
The LORD bless you and keep you! The LORD makes His face shine on you and give you His grace! The LORD smile upon you and give you shalom! Shalom, shalom, shalom!
