How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! Psalm 1:1.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
If you want to live a pure, happy and peaceful life, then don’t be a scoffer, a mocker, or a loud talker. Jesus had all three standing at the foot of the Cross, and they were the ones that put Him there.
In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying, “He saved others; He cannot save Himself. He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him. He trusts in God; let God rescue Him now, if He delights in Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” Matthew 27:41-43.
A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge is easy to one who has understanding. Proverbs 14:6. Who has understanding? The one who knows Me as love.
Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches; but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD. Jeremiah 9:23-24.
A scoffer, a mocker, and loud talker are lacking in three major areas, wisdom, love, and humility. A scoffer has no wisdom.
Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:6-8.
A mocker has no love.
Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10.
A loud talker has no humility. He speaks over everyone else and drowns out every voice but his own.
Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. Proverbs 18:2.
And without wisdom, love, and humility, you have no understanding and no purity of intention and purpose. A scoffer, mocker and loud talker are so full of self that they cannot hear or see anyone else. You cannot teach them, for they know it all, and you cannot correct them or they will hate you. And that is exactly the opposition Jesus ran into headlong with those who should have loved and recognized Him—the religious leaders of His day, the “experts” in My law. But they failed to understand Scripture and My power. And that is a dangerous place to be. The seat of the scoffer is never secure. And too many have climbed into that chair today. But if you have taken that seat you are not seated with Me in Christ. Instead of being My friend and confidante, as Moses was, you have become My judge. And I might add what I reveal to you about My friend Moses:
Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth. Numbers 12:3.
I resist the proud but give grace to the humble. How is that? Is not My grace there in Jesus for all?
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.
Yes, superabundant grace is there for all, but the measure with which you measure is measured back to you and more besides. That is a spiritual law. You must give to receive and you will receive what you give.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8.
When you are full of yourself with no room for Me, you resist Me, then I cannot do anything but resist you since you have given Me no place. When you are humble, however, I can fill you with Myself.
Jesus emptied Himself of His powers as God to embrace your humanity and reconcile you to Me, but when He emptied Himsel, humbled Himself, to give His life to bring you out of the darkness of sin and condemnation to the light of righteousness and justification it pleased Me to fill Him with all the fullness of the godhead in bodily form.
For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. Colossians 1:19-20.
For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. Colossians 2:9-10.
He put Himself totally in My hands and I put Myself totally in His.
All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. John 16:15.
If you have been sitting with scoffers, mocking with mockers, and tend to be a loud talker how do you get free of these things to walk in wisdom, love and humility so I can fill you with all My fullness?
The same way that My apostle Paul went from being a scoffer, mocker, and loud talker against My followers and seeing to the death of many in the early church community, beginning with Stephen, to being a man of wisdom, love, and great humility who evangelized more people than you can count and still does by his letters and the revelations I gave him: He had an encounter with Jesus and came to know and believe in the love I had for him. I showed him My Yeshuah. And after that encounter he wanted the whole to know My Yeshuah. Why? His whole life had become one of gratitude for the My gift of the One who loved him and gave Himself for him.
To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. Ephesians 3:8-12.
And he wanted you to know that love too:
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19.
And Paul knew the power of prayer, his encounter with the risen Christ was the result of a prayer. Do you recall? When Stephen was stoned to death it was Paul, then Saul, who instigated and supervised that event, but when Heaven opened to Stephen and he saw the risen Christ at My right hand, Stephen prayed that I not hold that sin against him but save him. Acts 7:54-60. I answered that prayer. Pray for those you see persecuting the church, without even knowing it, you may have set in motion the salvation of the one who may convert nations to Me.
Yes, an encounter with Christ as the manifestation of My love for you unto eternal salvation will get you filled up with Me. And I have made Him to be wisdom unto you, righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Seated in Him at My right hand you are no longer in the seat of those who scoff Me, mock Me, and speak loudly against Me but of those of understanding who know Me and the love I have for them as manifested in Christ Jesus, My gift to you and your wonderful Lord. You can live in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
