O LORD, teach us to number our days, so that we may gain of You a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12.

Let the favor of the LORD our God be upon us; and give permanence to the work of our hands. Yes, give permanence to the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17.

Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. Psalm 25:12.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Let Me teach you to prioritize and organize. If you do not have organization each day, i.e., the plan, the day will just fritter away, out of control, in a haphazard way. You will not even have a moment to pray. It will just be inundation with no formation.

But, I the LORD, teach you to profit and instruct you in the way you should go. My servant David did not waste time, he knew how to use time to his advantage, Joshua also, and David sang: “Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. My eyes are continually toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.” Psalm 25:12-15. My Holy Spirit, through My prophet David, has given you very valuable instruction here so that you can look carefully at how you walk each day, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time (that is, redeeming the time in this cursed earth), because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish but understand what My Will is. Ephesians 5:15-17. My Will is My favor for your life, it is good, pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2. I lead you in pathways of shalom, which are My plans for your life. There is a way that seems right to a man that ends in death. Make sure that you are walking with Me in right paths that cause you to prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. My paths are lovingkindness and truth and I teach the humble My ways. Psalm 25:9-10.

You have to learn how to manage your time and take dominion or it will manage you and run rampant. If you do not manage time, it will manage you, spinning you in circles of useless activity, and your years will slip by like a whispering sigh and your destiny remain unfulfilled.

Prioritize and organize. How do you do that? Lean on Me and not on your own understanding and let Me teach you to profit and the way you should go.  Moses warned the Israelites before they entered the Promised Land, “But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. It shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 8:18-20. There is no other way to true joy, peace, righteousness, and prosperity apart from My Word. For I am My Word.

It all starts very simply. Each day ask Me what I want you to be doing first, second and so on. Let Me help you prioritize and organize your prayer time, your projects for work or school, your hours at work, your time at home, your time with family and friends, and the ministry opportunities you are to undertake. Do not go off and winnow in every direction or you will not have much harvest. You may think at first that you will not hear and that will not work, but I say, try it out. My sheep hear My voice and I lead them out and I lead them in. I find the green pasture and the restful waters. I prosper the work of their hands. And I make their fruit endure.

Look at the advice of Psalm 25 again, it is there for you. All of My Word is for you. I have spoken and you must speak too, and as Jesus told you, build your life on the solid rock of My Word by hearing and doing it. Not just hearing and not just doing, but both combined. I am very clear if you will listen with your heart. Ask Me questions, call on Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know. When you forget something you need to know for work or school, just ask Me and pray in the Spirit, for the Spirit teaches you all things, guides you to all truth, tells you of the things to come, and BRINGS TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE all things that you need to know. Trust that and as you do it, you will see it come to pass. And you will have a joy no one can take from you for answers to questions, that is, answered prayer, is a joy to you and a joy to Me. I love it when My children ask Me for advice and listen to what I tell them, and even better, when they then proceed to do it.

Moses lamented over the foolishness of the Israelites whom I redeemed out of the slavery of Egypt to go into the Promised Land. I led them out to lead them in. But they did not trust My Word because of the things they saw with their five senses and preferred to trust the flesh rather than the Spirit. They declared they would not go into the Promised Land but would rather die in the wilderness of the desert. But the desert was not to be their resting place according to My Will, they were only supposed to pass through as they learned My ways and became My people set apart to do great works and be the Light to the world, attracting all to Me, to My Holy Mountain and place of prayer. I had a rich reward for them in the land to which I was leading them and training them how to walk with Me. But they would not. Instead they declared they would rather remain in the desert and die there, or, in the alternative, return to the slavery of Egypt! I gave them the better of their two choices but both would end in death. By your words you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned. It was not My plan for their lives, but they condemned themselves to a mediocre life in the wilderness when they could have had the victory of conquest without toil and a life of rest in the abundance of a land flowing with milk and honey. But they would not.

So how to you avoid this trap? For many have fallen into it today and are living way below where I would take them if they would but listen and follow. I will tell you simply that they are wasting their precious time and seeking pursuits that are often sinful and at the best just not fruitful. They are living selfish, angry, ambitious lives filled with jealousy and envy, and they are even blaming Me, as the Israelites did at the edge of the Promised Land, for leading them into danger and certain death.

Let Me show you how to prioritize and organize from My Word:

  1. Start and finish your day with the one thing necessary to prosper and be in good health: prayer. It does not have to be long but it has to be focused on Me and not filled with distractions. Do not be emailing people and doing Facebook or other social media when you are spending precious time with Me. And do not be texting or answering the phone and texts or talking with people in your home. Start with a song, proceed to reading Psalm 91 and the prayers Paul gave you in Ephesians 1 and 3 and Colossians 1. You can vary these or substitute others but use Scripture and then we are talking the same language and I can show you things. And ask Me questions of things you need to know for your work, family, job, school, chores, errands, etc. And pray for others. I depend on you for that. I ask you to pray for your government leaders and others in authority that they are open to My wisdom and direction, and pray for people you know who are not saved to be saved and come to know the truth. Pray that minds and hearts may be renewed to My Word so they can walk in ways of love and truth. And do not forget to pray for the shalom of Jerusalem. And pray for yourself too, whatever your need, and know you have the answer already and take it with thanksgiving. Cast ALL your cares on Me because I care for YOU. And know I will take care of them and look with expectant joy for the answers. Do not miss them when they come.
  2. Make of list of things to do and ask Me to direct your steps. Then as the day goes stay watchful and keep up communication with Me so I can lead you and show you things you need to know that are helpful to you and others. Be alert.
  3. Never swallow the devil’s bait which will lead you into offense, anger, depression and arguments with others. Stay calm and ask Me what you should say and how to respond. Do not let your mind and heart be dragged into darkness and loss of hope. And you know you are doing this if you are starting to fear or be depressed. Speak out the promises of joy, prosperity, peace, and healing, and know I have already given them to you in Jesus. They are yours, so put them on and sing.
  4. Do not grumble and complain. This will take effort on your part because people are used to doing it. And do not gossip about others. If you do fall into the devil’s trap by snatching the bait, be quick to repent and bring your mess to Me and I will cleanse you of all unrighteousness so you can continue on with a song.
  5. Work and do your assignments for Me rather than for men and your work will have integrity and worth. Whatever it is, no matter how important or unimportant it seems to you or others, how you do it and the motives of your heart is what matters to Me. I love a cheerful giver. And I honor and promote those who honor Me. Put Me first in all you do and let Me do it with, in, and for you. Remember, nothing is too hard for Me and nothing is impossible to Me, and all things are possible to those who believe that. Do not give up. Know I am there for you. You can have all My promises no matter what the odds against My promise coming to pass seem to be.

And do not forget to exercise and eat good food that is healthy for your body. Also, remember that I give you sweet sleep, so do not neglect that. And drink water, but especially the living water of praying in the Spirit throughout your day. Tongues.

I love you. Let Me order your day aright that you may gain a heart of wisdom from Me.
