And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40.

Moreover the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live. Deuteronomy 30:6.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

What is most important to you each day of your life? What is your top priority? Think on that for a moment. You may not even know. You may be just trying to get all your work done each day and juggle all your various tasks so that you can at least get some sleep each night and yet each day just seems to get away from you before you have done all the things that were on your “to do” list.

Does that describe your life?

Then the years go swiftly by and there is not much to show for your life other than you just got by, and maybe that not even too well. What would those you have worked with, lived with, and had to do remember and say about you? Sloppy? Offensive? Rude? Impatient?

But the ultimate question is what will your life render when you stand before the judgment seat of Christ? As My apostle Paul wrote by My Spirit, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10. “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:13.

In the end what really matters? Faith, hope and love, these three remain, and the greatest of these is love. Love is all that matters. 1 Corinthians 13.

The Pharisees and Scribes, the people who really were trying to live a holy life, were pondering this also when they asked Jesus what were the greatest of the commandments. It is good to prioritize that which is most important at the top of your “to do” list. And Jesus gave them the answer as the number one commandment that they already knew for they said it every day as a prayer, “Hear O Israel, the LORD your GOD is LORD alone, therefore you  shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.” And then He added a second that He likened with the first, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” And He told them all the laws and the prophets hung on these two. Why? Love never hurts the neighbor and love never betrays the one loved. If you love Me with all your being, spirit, soul, and body, and you love your neighbor as yourself, there is no law needed to keep you from committing evil for in love there is no evil. I am love and so are you.

Now look at what is most important to you. If you would say fellowshipping with Me and doing good to others, then I would say you are after My own heart. What do you think is on My agenda for the day? Better, look at the life of Jesus and you will see the perfect agenda, for in seeing Him you see Me. He went about doing good and healing all those that were oppressed of the devil. Acts 10:38. That should be what your day is like.

Would that change your world view? What if you looked at everyone as someone to love into wholeness? Not as irritating, wasting your time, and unworthy of your attention, but as someone that needs healing, correction, direction, protection, and impartation? Then you would be looking at them as Jesus did. Jesus looked at the crowds with compassion for they were like sheep without a shepherd. And in seeing Him, you see Me in action among you. Forgiving, healing, providing, teaching, correcting, empowering, leading, and, above all, loving.

And your love for others should have actions also. When you give to the poor you lend to Me and I will repay! One hundred fold. My beloved John wrote, “But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?” 1 John 3:17

What is the question at the end of your day? Did you love Me in your actions and words and sanctify Me in your heart, and were you loving and kind to others, not allowing them to sin and hurt themselves, but not being nasty, offensive and offended, and angry? Were you self-seeking and self-serving or were you on the lookout for My interests and the good of others. I am in the blessing business and you should be about My business too. You have wonderful Kingdom assignments and they come about from Kingdom living and Kingdom giving.

Do not be so caught up in your “to do” list that you have no time to listen to the cry of the poor, and I do not just mean those with financial difficulties but with those who have problems in their souls too. People just need to know they are valuable and worthwhile to you. Do not ignore those who are not attractive in the world’s eyes for shame to be seen with them. Jesus did not let that bother Him in seeking out and saving the lost, though it did get Him in trouble with the Pharisees who considered such people unclean and defiling. Never enter into others’ sins or condone them, lead them out to freedom and wholeness as Jesus did. But if another abuses you for your witness, shake the dust from your feet and move on. Never compromise and draw back because of the bullying of others. But never answer in a harsh, rude or angry way. A quiet thoughtful answer calms things down that could otherwise get out of the control of love. Speak the truth in love and you will always be the overcomer.

And you will please Me and that is ultimately to whom you give an account of the life I gave you. But have no fear. If you are in Christ, you receive His reward and his joint heir.

And that is the best and foremost decision and action of your life—receiving My Son as your Lord and Savior. When you do that, I impute all your sins to Him and all His righteousness, which is Mine, to you. I seal you in Him and make Him your wisdom, your righteousness, your redemption and your sanctification. But then you enter into partnership with Him to do the works He did and greater everyday so I can give you your full reward. You don’t want to miss that. Imitate Me as My dear children and walk in love all day, every day, and all night, every night.

Do you understand? In the end only three remain, faith, hope and love. My apostle Paul said this of the believers in Thessalonica, would he say it of you? “We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father.” 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3.
