The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing, but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore He is able also to save completely to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:23-25.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

You may feel alone and like everything is gone, but you have an intercessor. Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you. And He is able to save you completely and to the uttermost.

You remember when Jesus told Peter that the devil would be going after Peter to sift him like wheat, but Jesus told Peter he had prayed for Peter that his faith would never fail and that he in turn, when he had returned, would strengthen his brethren. And that was the way it happened. Peter swallowed the devil’s bait and denied My Son out of fear of men, but he returned to become strong in faith and the head of the early church. And Jesus is doing the same for you. There is no snatching out of His hand. When you are sealed in Him by My Spirit I have commanded Him to keep you and raise you up on the Last Day.

Jesus did not forget you after He died for your sins. He rose as your great and good Shepherd, Hebrews 13:20, and as your great High Priest, Hebrews 6:20, who ever lives to make intercession for you. Hebrews 7:25. And Jesus, right now is before Me praying for you and acting as the High Priest of your confession. Hebrews 3:1. This hope you have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters behind the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for you, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:19-20.

Very few ponder that you have a great High Priest who lives to see that you are saved even now. They see Him dying on the Cross, ascending back to Me, and that was it as far as salvation goes. And that is correct at the first level. He died once for all and never needs to die again, your sins were all taken care of before Me in that one death and you were all raised up with Him when I raised Him up from the pit of Hell triumphant with sin and death conquered and the devil under His feet, but that is not the end of it all. You are still in the world though you are no longer of the world, that is, if you have received Him as your Lord. But you are not on your own. You need help to get through this present world as a conqueror and overcomer with Jesus. You can rely on your High Priest.

For it was fitting for you to have such a High Priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priests of the Old Covenant, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this Jesus did once for all when He offered up Himself. For under the Law I appointed men as high priests who were weak, but My Word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints My Son, made perfect forever. Hebrews 7:26-28. Under the Old Covenant a manslayer who took refuge in a city of asylum could only stay there in that wonderful place with the priests until the high priest in office at the time died, but My Son will never die so you are in the safe refuge of a strong city of asylum forever. You are safe from the wrath.

And I tell you that He is the High Priest of your confession. Hebrews 3:1. The word translated as “confession’” or sometimes “profession” is a Greek word that is difficult to translate in one word in English. It is “homologia,” which means speaking the same word or perfect agreement of your words and mindset. I watch over My Word to perform it and it does not return to Me void. It gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Jesus as the High Priest of My Word takes what you say in agreement with His Words, which are My Words, and brings them to Me and I perform them in your life.

My Word is living and working, sharper than a two edged (two mouthed, that is two witnesses) sword—healing, discerning, enabling, prospering—therefore, since you have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus My Son, hold fast to your confession of My promises over your life and those of your household. For you do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with your weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as you are, yet without sin. Therefore draw near with confidence to My throne of grace, so that you may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:12-16.

Jesus is touched with the feelings of your infirmities. He understands what it is to be tested and tried, and He came out triumphant and true. He knows what it is to be betrayed, abandoned, hurt, beaten, falsely accused, rejected, and murdered. There is nothing you can feel that He has not felt. Whatever you are feeling, He already experienced it, and the good news is He overcame that feeling. And He can make you an overcomer too because He ever lives to make intercession for you. And remember? He told you whatever you ask in His Name, I will do. He is the High Priest of your confession (your words) before Me. And I watch over My Word to perform it. It does not return to Me void but achieves the purpose for which I sent it.

Are you feeling judged and shameful about your life? That is a lie of the enemy, because you have a great High Priest who is showing Me His wounds for you and, as your great High Priest and your representative before Me (you know that a priest represents the people before Me and obtains mercy for them by sacrifice? That was what the priesthood was established to do under the Old Covenant) has established an eternal Covenant with Me that you who are in Him are also in that Covenant, united as one with Me. All I have is yours and all you have is Mine in an everlasting Covenant of love that cannot be broken for neither I nor Jesus will ever break it and it is between Him as your great High Priest and representative and Me. We are joined as One in Him, your great High Priest.

I am not keeping record of how many times you miss doing My Will, I love you and I am willing to give you Kingdom assignments if you are willing to yield your earthen vessel to Me. That’s all, no preconditions. That is why Jesus is forever making intercession for you and His blood continually cleansing you of all unrighteousness.

Do you see the greatness of the office of High Priest? A man never took it on himself, but only those who were called and anointed by Me. And they were all a shadow of the great One to come, Jesus, your High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek, which means (in Hebrew) “King of Righteousness”). He is the substance which cast the shadow down the ages of old. But now He is living before Me, glorified at My right hand, forever living and uniting man and God as one in His one perfect life. Eternal life is in My Son.

And the good news goes on. Not only is He your great High Priest, through His blood, I have released you from your sins and made you to be His brethren and, like the brethren of Aaron the first high priest of the Old Covenant, I have made you to be priests with Jesus. Yes, have you never read: “Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6.

You too can join in the great ministry of intercession. In fact, I direct you to do so. I tell you to pray for all people that they be saved and come to know the truth, for this is My heart’s desire. And I tell you to pray for government leaders and all in positions of authority so you may lead holy and tranquil lives, free to worship and fulfill your Kingdom assignments. I tell you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I tell you to pray for your nation. I tell you to pray for doors to open to the preaching of the Gospel. I tell you to pray that you not be put to the test. I tell you to pray for your enemies and persecutors. I tell you to pray without ceasing. I tell you to have be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let your requests be made known to Me. I tell you to believe you received what you ask for when you pray and it is yours. And when someone is sick, I tell you to pray the prayer of faith over them. And I could go on, but you see that I have called you to the ministry of intercession as fellow priests ministering unto Me, the Father of glory. Release My glory, that is, My goodness, My power and My presence into the lives of everyone on earth. Cover the earth with My glory as the waters cover the sea. Let the living water in you flow out in rivers of intercessory prayer in the Spirit with your great High Priest in the Holy of Holies before My throne of grace. Do not be so caught up in yourself and your failings that you never intercede for others. Jesus is interceding for you, intercede for those that are not under the Covenant as yet to bring them into the city of refuge under your great High Priest.

I love you. That is why I gave you Jesus to be your everything. Do not fear the past, no matter what you did you are forgiven in Him; do not fear the future, My plans for you are shalom and not evil, and do not fear the present, for I am ever present as your Helper. And remember every moment of every day, Jesus, your great High Priest, is interceding for you that your faith will NEVER fail. Don’t give up, Jesus is interceding on your behalf and strength will come. Each morning My mercies are new. He has you in His hand and that means you are in Mine. I will never let you remain down long, I have rescued you from the realm of darkness and I have hold of your hand:

“Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me.”
