Then He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me.” And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:38-39.

Jesus went away again a second time and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.” Again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more. Matthew 26:42-44.

Thus says your Lord (אֲדֹנָי), the LORD (יהוה), even your God Who contends for His people, “Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling (trembling), the chalice of My anger; you will never drink it again.” Isaiah 51:22.

Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Jesus prayed three times the night before He took on all your sins and died as your substitute to satisfy divine justice for sin, that the cup would pass Him by without Him having to drink it. But there was no other way. And it was His delight to do My Will.

What was the cup He was talking about? I talk about different cups in the Bible so you have to know which one I gave Him to drink on the day of the Cross.

You will understand if you read Isaiah chapters 51 through 55. But let Me give you the key to this cup: “Thus says your Lord (אֲדֹנָי), the LORD (יהוה), even your God Who contends for His people, “Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling (trembling), the chalice of My anger; you will never drink it again.” Isaiah 51:22. And in Isaiah 54, in days of old, “in an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, but with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you,” says the LORD your Redeemer. “For this is like the days of Noah to Me, when I swore that the waters of Noah would not flood the earth again; so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you nor will I rebuke you. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the LORD who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:8-10.

If you look carefully at line 22 of Isaiah 51, you will see that “Thus says the Lord,” the word Lord there is not put all in capitals in your translation from Hebrew because it is the word “Adonai,” which signifies God or man as your lord. Sarah called Abraham “Adonai” in her heart. But you see it can be God and man. Jesus is your Lord, Adonai. In Psalm 110, David has me saying, “The LORD (YHWH) said to my Lord (Adonai), sit at My right hand while I make your enemies your footstool.” He knew. Jesus was a descendant of his according to the flesh but was God in the Spirit. But I also gave Jesus My Name. In My Name is Salvation, and I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself not counting your sins against you but imputing them all to Jesus, the One who knew no sin but for you became sin so that in Him you could become righteous with My own righteousness by His Work on the Cross and not yours. The great exchange.

But look more deeply at this passage. It is Jesus speaking, for it states that Adonai says and I have given Him My Name, YHWH, and He is one God with Me and He intercedes (contends) for you who have received Him, His people, before Me. He gave His life for you and took the cup of divine justice (wrath) away from you. And that is why Paul wrote to you who believe “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.” Romans 5:8-11.

Behold, I took the cup of wrath, the cup to be poured out for the ungodly lawless sinners to drink that have destroyed My earth, and gave it to My Son to drink in your stead so that you, who have been shielded in Him, would never drink it again. My faithfulness is a shield and a bulwark.

In Him you have redemption, the forgiveness of sins by His blood so that I can lavish the riches of My grace upon you and NEVER be angry with you again. Under Adam’s seed you are children of wrath like the rest (and the cup is still in their hands), Ephesians 3:3, Isaiah 51:23, but born again under the imperishable seed of My Word made flesh you are My beloved children and having now been justified by His Blood, you shall be saved from the wrath through Him. Romans 5:8-9. Jesus drank your cup and saved you from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10. Just as the blood of the Passover Lamb on the doors of the Israelite homes shielded them from the wrath of justice that fell on Egypt, so the Blood of Jesus shields you from the wrath.

But I want you to look back to the beginning of chapter 51 of Isaiah and go on a journey with Me to the truth that will rebuild, replenish and restore your world. “The LORD will comfort Zion (you who believe are in the assemblies of Zion, the place of grace). He will comfort all her waste places and her wilderness He will make like Eden and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of a melody. Isaiah 51:3. A melody in your heart as My Words become your songs in the house of your pilgrimage. Psalm 119:54; Ephesians 5:19. I will set the exile free and you will not die in the darkness of the dungeon, your bread will not be lacking, and the fury of the oppressor is gone. Isaiah 51:14-15. How?

“I have put My words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand to establish the heavens, to found the earth, to say to  Zion, ‘You are My people.’” Isaiah 51:16.

Awake! Shake yourself from the dust, rise up, loose yourself from the chains around your neck, O captive daughter of Zion! Isaiah 52:1-2. And you do it by your words, “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. When they cast you down, you will speak with confidence, and the humble person He will save.” Job 22:28-30.

Decree My Words of healing, wholeness, provision, prosperity, longevity, renewal of youth, strength, and whatever promise of Mine is needed at the moment, over your life, you body, your circumstances and watch Me perform My Words in your mouth. Let the weak say I am strong (am a hero)! Now is the day of Salvation. Faith is now. Remember Jairus? He decreed it to Jesus, “Come lay your hands on my daughter and she will be well.” And just as he said, and did not waiver, it came to pass. He was not double minded because of what he saw.

Ask anything in the Name of Jesus, and He will do it. And I will do it.

Laugh at pain, you have the Name! Laugh at cancer, you have the answer! Laugh at lack, I have your back, Isaiah 52:11-13. Laugh at each problem, My Word can solve them.

Speak out life, not death, speak out victory, not defeat, and see it come to pass. “I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord!” should be your cry. You have a treasure beyond price. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions, out of every pit you fall into. My Words in your mouth—seed to the sower and bread to the eater. My Word will not return to Me void. I watch over it to perform it.

Your words should not be idle words. My Words are not idle, they are your very life.

Where is the fury of the oppressor? Established in righteousness in Christ you will be far from oppression. No weapon formed against you can prosper and every tongue raised against you, you shall prove false. How? By responding with My Words and not your own. You establish things by your words. By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 24:3-4. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6. I have put My Words in your mouth to establish the heavens and found the earth.

You must speak My Word and do it to have the life you want, days of Heaven on earth. And when you speak them, you must decree them with faith. Not like a parrot that does not really believe what is spoken. It all comes back to Joshua 1:8. I gave Joshua the formula for success and prosperity, good health and long life. And it is the same today. Let us look at it, for that is wisdom: “This book of the Torah shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Joshua 1:8.

  1. This Book of the Torah shall not depart from your mouth. The Hebrew word, torah (תורה), is derived from a root that was used in the realm of archery, yareh (ירה). Yareh means to shoot an arrow in order to hit a mark. The mark or target, of course, was the object at which the archer was aiming. Consequently, torah, one of the nouns derived from this root, is, therefore, the arrow aimed at the mark, The target is the truth about God and how one relates to Him. The torah is, therefore, in the strict sense instruction designed to teach us the truth about God. Torah means direction, teaching, instruction, or doctrine. It refers to all of My Word from Genesis to Revelation, but at the time of Joshua only the first five books of the Bible were written down by Moses. But the instruction is still the same, Speak My Word and do not let it depart from you mouth. It is your very life and health to all your flesh. Jesus followed this instruction, He only spoke My Words because He knew they had eternal life in them. Decree My Word and prophesy it. Speak to your mountains.
  2. You shall meditate on My Word day and night.

You will have to renew your mind to thinking as I do—shalom, love, forgiveness, healing, victory! Think on these things and not the negative, dark thoughts of the realm of darkness. My Words will feed your spirit and soul and manifest in good things in your body.

  1. So you may be careful to do according to all that is written in My Word.

Not just a hearer but a doer of My Word. Fill you heart and mouth with My Word and you will go in the direction till you hit the mark. Do whatever I tell you, when you stand to pray, forgive those against whom you have anything in your heart. Don’t point the finger in blame, don’t judge, don’t grumble and complain. Address one another in psalms, hymns and songs of the spirit. It will keep your foot from stumbling and bless you and others.

  1. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.

My Word will give you the life you want filled with light, health, peace and provision, but above all JOY unspeakable filled with glory. It will make all your waste places and wilderness like Eden and your desert like My beautiful garden. Joy and gladness will be found in you, thanksgiving and the sound of a melody. Isaiah 51:3. When you are walking in My Word, which is walking in the Spirit, I am with you wherever you go. And that was the way I concluded My instructions for success to Joshua: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9.

I love you. It is time for you to begin decreeing things in your life. You are no longer ever to drink the cup of wrath, but the cup of forgiveness of the new and everlasting Covenant in the Blood of My Son. If you but knew My gift, you would ask Jesus for a drink.
