As for God, His way is perfect. The Word of the LORD is tried. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, the God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect? Psalm 18:30-32.

You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand upholds me; and You have stooped down to make me great. Psalm 18:35.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Why do you think of yourself as unworthy, as a lower-class citizen of My Kingdom, as one who cannot do assignments of excellence like the saints of old and of now? In Christ you are not the person you once were, you are a new creation. You are My royal priesthood, you are chosen and beloved, you are as Jesus is in the world. You are a member of the Body of Christ to do the works He did and greater on the earth. You are righteous with My own righteousness in Christ. You can stand because I am standing with you and in you.

Get ready. Get excited. Stop hanging back in the shadows of a mediocre life that you feel has trapped you. Forget what lies behind and press forward to the high calling to which you are called. You are a joint heir with Christ, nothing less, and everything I have in yours. Be like David and run for the giant speaking faith and watch Me take that giant down! Don’t run and hide like the rest of the army of Israel did from Goliath, living in fear of an enemy that a seventeen-year-old boy brought down with a sling shot on the first shot. Run forward with Me and you will be surprised what I will do with you. Like I told Gideon, I called him a champion with the strength of an army. He thought that was totally impossible, he had an extremely low self-image, but I told him that I would be with Him and that was enough to change everything. He found out that was the truth.

Get ready. Get excited. Take the challenge. Fight the good fight of faith. When you speak from faith things happen. David was not a trained soldier, he had never even fought in a battle or in hand to hand combat, but the boldness with which he spoke convinced Saul and the men of the army that David could win the battle for them and it gave them hope. So Saul, against all common sense, sent David out to take on Goliath with no armor and no weapon of war and no one went out to back him up. But David did not need any other back-up than the One he declared was going to fight for him since Goliath had blasphemed My Name and sought to take territory that belonged to My people Israel. He was out of his territory and in Mine and down he went by David’s words of faith. But without David, Goliath would have won, though it was not My Will. Think about that next time you think you cannot make a difference for Me in your nation.

Take the step up and run in the way of My commandments and I will be going before you to open the way, I will be with you to equip you for every good word and work, and I will come behind you as your rear guard to protect you and clear up the mess you made in the past. There is no way you can lose when I am with you.

Consider that both Joseph, the son of Jacob, and Daniel. They were foreigners in nations that did not consider them to be desirable people to promote. They were seen as slaves. But both Joseph and Daniel rose to high positions in the pagan governments where they were taken against their will. Joseph was sold as a slave by his brothers and Daniel was taken captive as a prisoner of war. But they both had something about them that made them shine and that even the kings of those nations, who should have been their enemies, took them as trusted advisors and gave them positions of authority. Why? Let the kings speak for themselves: “Then Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is a divine spirit?” So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” Genesis 41:38-40. And Nebuchadnezzar of Daniel, “Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and did homage to Daniel, and gave orders to present to him an offering and fragrant incense. The king answered Daniel and said, “Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.” Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts, and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.” Daniel 2:46-48.

And where did Joseph and Daniel, who were mere youths, get all that wisdom? They asked Me for it. Remember, Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, but no one can interpret it; and I have heard it said about you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” But Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.” Genesis 41:15-16.

And consider Daniel, when he heard that the king was about to kill all the wise men because they could not interpret his dream, he prayed to Me with his fellow captives that I would reveal the dream of the king to him with its meaning. And as he slept in the night I answered his prayer and Daniel thanked Me, saying, “To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for You have given me wisdom and power; even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, for You have made known to us the king’s matter.” Daniel 2:17-23.

If you have something you need, ask Me for it first. Do not try to do things alone. You have Me. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. Your job is to keep My Word. My job is to perform it.

If you want to please Me and do My Will, I know that, I see your heart, and I will prepare the place for you and come and take you there. I am your good Shepherd.

I did not send Jesus to be served but to serve and to give His life for you. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever. I am, I was, and I am to come. He still is your good Shepherd and your great High Priest. He still lives to serve you. Do you see how much I love you? Why then do you fear you are not holy enough? I knew you could not do it on your own and that is why I was in Jesus reconciling you to Me by imputing all your sins and impurities to Him and giving you the gift of righteousness. But now I have opened to you a whole new way of life. The life of faith in the One who loved you and gave His life for you to make you the YOU that you always wanted to be.

You can trust Me and put your life in My hands. My Words are for you. My life is in you. I alone am your source though I may use a variety of means to get the things you need and desire to you. Know, however, that ultimately everything you are and have, as well as where you will live eternally, has to do with your relationship with Me. And your relationship with Me comes down to what you do with My Word. If you are willing and obey you shall have the best of the land, but if you rebel and cast My Words behind you and go the way of Adam you will live in the curse, though you do not have to, for in Christ, I redeemed you from the curse. And My commandments are not burdensome. It is just as Jesus told you, if you continue in My Word you are truly My disciples and then you will know the truth and the TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE. Jesus came to set the captives free. Sin is slavery, it ensnares you and leaves you bereft and alone. But when you receive the abundance of grace that is in Christ Jesus and the gift of righteousness you reign in life through Him. Nothing can conquer you for you are no longer a child of the devil, captive in the darkness of the entrapment and wages of sin, but a child of Mine, of the living God, and you are free in the Light where you can enjoy the delights of My house, that is, Eden, on earth.

My Son told you that. And I told you that He is My Beloved Son on whom My favor rests to whom you should listen if you want to be free from oppression and depression. Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:23-24.

You will find that all the people from the Old and New Covenants that you so admire all had one thing in common, they loved and kept My Words. And you can do that too. The Word is not far away from you, it is in your heart and in your mouth. It is the Word of faith. I have come down to make you great. The Word became flesh and dwelt among you and of His fullness you have all received.

I love you. If you really want to go to a whole new level, make a whole new commitment to make My Word first place in all you do. Sow it, plant it, grow it, and eat it. It is sweeter than honey dripping from the comb.
