The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Look always for the light. But where do you find the light in a dark place? I tell you in My Word that a people living in darkness, have seen a great light, and on those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them. And what was that great light? The Light of the world. Isaiah explained what that light was: “For a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:5-7.

But who is that Son? Jesus. But who is He? My Word. My living and active Word born as one like you in all things but sin.

If you want to know how to find the light no matter how dark your world is now, you find the answer very clearly in My Word, for it is My Word that is the answer. It is written in Psalm 119: “The unfolding (“petach” in Hebrew, which means “opening, unfolding, entrance, doorway”) of Your Word gives LIGHT, it gives understanding (discernment) to the naïve (simple, foolish).” Psalm 119:130. And in line 105 of the same Psalm, you find, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Jesus is My Word and He is the Light of the world and no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.

And My apostle Peter writes to you: “We have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19.

The Word is the light of life. Light overcomes darkness. You know that. If you turn on the lights in a dark room, there is no darkness that can remain. All has become light. Satan, who is the ruler of the realm of darkness, cannot rule over you if you simply turn on the light by speaking My Word. Light always wins over darkness without even having to fight. Light simply drives darkness away. Darkness cannot stay in the presence of light. To get you into darkness, Satan has to make YOU turn off the light, i.e., stop speaking My Words and start declaring his. That is why his primary objective is to steal the seed of My Word before it plants in you, or, if it does plant in your heart, he tries to send cares, lusts, worries, riches, trials, sadness, pain, sickness, and affliction your way to choke it out of your heart and mouth.

Satan always attacks your mind and being with darkness for that is his nature, the prince of darkness and the father of lies. Jesus called Satan and his demons “the power of darkness.” Luke 22:53. By darkness I mean despair, depression, fear, anxiety, stress, blame, shame, condemnation, anger, bitterness, unrest, sickness, immorality, divisions, greed, disasters, and a host of others that put you into the deepest darkness. But the way out of that darkness is really not as difficult as it seems. You simply need to turn on the Light of My Word out of your mouth.

Put on the armor of Light. Simply put that is My Word and praising with the Word. Being a worshipper in spirit and in truth. And the worshipper wins. Consider David, Jehoshaphat, Daniel, Mary, Elizabeth, Paul, Hannah, and many others. And what did they all have in common that made them more than conquerors? Elizabeth puts it this way, “Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.” Luke 1:45. And what did Mary do to show that? “My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit finds joy in God, my Savior.” She praised with the Word. She sang praise before she saw the result. Like Paul did chained to the floor as a prisoner in that dark prison at Philippi. But he did not stay in the dark long once he began to praise with My Word (he sang the Psalms). My Word is the doorway to the Light. The door of hope, the door of deliverance, the door to all My benefits manifested in your life.

I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. Psalm 107:20. It is a light to your path showing you the way you should go. But actually it also is the path of deliverance. Jesus is the Way. My Word is the holy highway on which the redeemed walk, and upon which the lion cannot tread, as they enter Zion singing songs of joyful praise. Isaiah 35:8-11.

My Word is living and working. If you plant it in your heart and speak it with your mouth it will go to work for you. It has the power to save your souls. And it brings light.

And My Word became flesh and is your great good Shepherd who rescues you out of darkness and transfers you to His Kingdom of light.  He calls you by name and leads you out to the place He has prepared for you to walk out the life of good deeds I prepared for you in Him in advance. Your assignment is at a certain time in a certain place and you can trust your great good Shepherd, My Word, to get you there.

Do you see now what it means to be “in Christ?” It means to be in My Word. You abide in Him by abiding in My Word and letting My Word abide in you. John 15:7. Never permit My Word to depart from your heart and your mouth. I spoke long ago to the patriarchs in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, but in these last days I speak to you in My Son, whom I appointed heir of all things, through whom also I made the world. And He is the radiance of My glory and the exact representation of My nature, and He upholds all things by the word of His power.” Hebrews 1:1-3. My Word goes directly to you now and is in your heart, Christ in you, your hope of glory.

In seeing Jesus you see My living Word going about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil. You see the Light that has shone on a people in darkness to heal and deliver them.

Take advantage of so great a light that will drive out your darkness and put on the armor of light. My Word as your shield, sword, helmet and breastplate. When you walk in the light, as He is in the Light, you walk in the Word as He is the Word and His blood continually cleanses you of all sin. You are cleansed by the Word. John 15:3.

I am your Light and your Salvation, whom shall you fear? No one and nothing. Fear is only in the realm of darkness and you can always overcome darkness with light if you choose to do so. You fight darkness with light and you will always win.

Satan comes with  a threat of fear—fear that someone or something is going to harm you. He did that to Elijah when he had suffered a huge defeat at Elijah’s hands. Elijah had an awesome time demonstrating My power on Mt. Carmel and Satan then attacked him with a threat from Jezebel to end his life. Instead of standing up realizing this was only the threat of a sinful mortal to one who had just called on My Name and brought down fire and judgment on hundreds of prophets of Baal, he ran in fear and asked Me to take his life so he could die and leave this world. He entertained darkness and became very depressed. I called him out to the mountain alone and encouraged him to go back and complete his work. But you notice I did not send him back alone, I gave him Elisha as his companion and the prophet to succeed him. I always send you help in your time of need.

But when Satan threatens you through others or your own thoughts of self-condemnation you are not to run and ask to die as Elijah did. You have Christ in you, your hope of glory, and you have more Word than he did at his time of life. You are to stand in the armor of Light and open your mouth and say My promise in counterattack to whatever Satan has brough against you. If it is fear of men say, “The LORD is my helper, I do not fear. What will man do against Me?” Or, “no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue raised against me I shall prove false for my vindication (righteousness) is from Him!” Or, “Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies and of the son of man who is made like grass, that you have forgotten the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that you fear continually all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, as he makes ready to destroy? But where is the fury of the oppressor? The exile will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking. For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the Lord of hosts is His name). I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” Isaiah 51:12-16. Psalm 27 is a good answer to the devil and will turn on the light.

The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until full day. You are born again, not of seed which is perishable but unperishable, through the living and enduring Word. 1 Peter 1:23-25. My Word has the power to save you. Let My Word light up your life. And it is as easy as opening up your mouth.

I love you. Live on in My love. And if you are in a dark place, don’t fret and cry, just turn on the Light. Declare My promises with faith and see them come to pass. It will bring you into the light.
