He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him. Isaiah 59:16.
Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? Isaiah 53:1.
O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have accomplished salvation for Him. Psalm 98:1.
Behold, the Lord God will come with might, with His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him and His recompense before Him. Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, in His arm He will gather the lambs and carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes. Isaiah 40:10-11.
And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” And He took them in His arms and blessed them, laying His hands on them. Mark 10:13-16.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Jesus is My arm. He is the way I reached down to embrace your humanity and save you from your slavery to sin and death. He is My wisdom and power. 1 Corinthians 1:23.
Take a look at My Words to you on this subject and meditate on them as I open the Scriptures to you.
I tell you in the Book of Isaiah that I looked about and saw nothing but injustice, lies, abuse, and violence among My people and I was aggrieved that right did not exist. I was appalled that there was no one to intervene, no intercessor; no just man to save you, therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; and My own righteousness, it sustained Me. Isaiah 59:16. “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘The Lord our righteousness.’” Jeremiah 23:5-6. I made Him who knew no sin to be sin so that in Him you might become the righteousness of God. My Arm reached down and made you righteous with My own righteousness, not for any works you had done but by My grace that came from Me to you through Jesus.
And when you read Isaiah 53, you find that I foretell how Jesus would bear all your sins, ills, pains, and grief in His own body and die in your place to take the punishment due to you for your sins under divine justice so you could be justified and forgiven. And what Words do I begin this prophecy with? I tell you “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” Isaiah 53:1. I say that Jesus in His suffering and death as your substitute revealed My arm acting on your behalf. I then describe the sufferings and death of My Son for your salvation and justification in that chapter of the Book of Isaiah.
And you will read in Psalm 98 further confirmation of this truth: “O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have accomplished salvation for Him.” Psalm 98:1.
Jesus is My Word and He was with Me in the beginning and all things came to be through Him and for Him and without Him nothing came to be. John 1:1-3. And you see this told before it was written by My beloved John by My prophet Jeremiah: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.” Jeremiah 32:17. My great power and outstretched arm formed the universe and sustains it.
And I told Moses and the Israelites as I redeemed them from slavery and brought them out of Egypt to the Promised Land, “I will rescue you from bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God.” Exodus 6:6-7. It is still with My own arm I reach down and save you. I reach down and rescue you.
My Son stretched out His arms upon the Cross to redeem you.
And again in the Book of Isaiah, I tell you, “The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.” Isaiah 52:10. And oh! How Jesus was stripped of His garments and hung on the Cross before all the nations. I bared My Arm before you.
And My Son will rule on David’s throne forever. My prophet Isaiah spoke of this also in the context of My arm of power: “Behold, the Lord God will come with might, with His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him and His recompense before Him.” Isaiah 40:10. But as I reach down My arm to you in Jesus, He rules with gentle love those who are His, “Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, in His arm He will gather the lambs and carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.” Isaiah 40:10-11.
Yes, in My Son I reached down where you could see Me with your eyes (for I tell you that in seeing Him, you are seeing Me, John 14:9) and touch Me with your hands in My Word of life, My outstretched Hand and Arm to you. And in Jesus My Arm embraced your humanity, embraced the children. Remember? You read in the Gospel of Mark: “And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, ‘Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.’ And He took them in His arms and blessed them, laying His hands on them.” Mark 10:13-16.
It was I who took you in My arms and taught you to walk, I drew you with human cords, with bands of love; I fostered you like one who raises an infant to his cheeks; yet, though I stooped to feed My child, you did not know that I was your healer. Hosea 11:3-4.
And in Jesus My Hand and Arm reached out to lepers—remember you read of this in the Gospel of Matthew: “When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Matthew 8:1-3. And My Son would gather the lost and the broken and take the hand of those who had died and raise them up, as My Son did the little daughter of Jairus. Mark 5:41.
And My arm reached down as Jesus would lay His hands on the sick and they were healed. Do you remember? In the Gospel of Luke you read about Jesus in the synagogue on a Sabbath: “And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, ‘Woman, you are freed from your sickness.’ And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she was made erect again and began glorifying God.” Luke 13:12-13.
And even though Jesus has returned to the majestic glory that He had with Me before the world began and is at My right hand interceding for you, He is with you always by His Spirit in you, the Spirit of Sonship, that cries out “Abba, Father” and witnesses with your spirits that you are My children.
And each one of you who believes in My Son as Lord is part of His Body on earth doing the works He did and greater. John 14:12. And now My Arm reaches out through you who are My Son’s Body on earth. Jesus told you this, “And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18. As I embrace you in My everlasting arms and hold you in My Hand, I can reach out through you by My Spirit in you to embrace and heal a hurting world. As He is, so are you in this world.
I love you. Draw close to Me and I will draw close to you. Let Me embrace and bless you with My left Hand under your head and My strong right Arm about you. Song of Songs 2:6.
