“Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the Words of this law. For it is not an idle (empty, vain) word for you, because it is your life, and by this Word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.” Deuteronomy 32:46-47.
But He answered and said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4.
Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I give you an invitation of joy, which is an invitation to life in spirit and truth.
Life. What is it? I am the author of life and I AM the living God so I will now show you the path to life and fullness of joy in My presence.
Life is mysterious to many. Life is there and then the body is lying lifeless—it is gone, like the wind and you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. But you should know where you came from and where you are going.
If you know Me, you understand life. For in seeing Jesus you see Me and I speak to you through His humanity and He told you, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me.” And I am called the LIVING God, signifying no other “god” has life in them. As I identified Myself to Moses: “I AM who AM.”
Life is being aware and of growing. A seed has life in it but that life only comes forth when the seed falls to the ground and dies. Now you are in seed form, Abraham’s seed (humanity) but when you fall to the earth and die then you will spring forth to eternal life in a whole new form of glory and immortality but still from the same seed that gave you form on earth. But you are born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word and My Word (Jesus) will raise you on the Last Day.
Life is in Jesus. 1 John 5:11. And He is My Word. John 1:14. Life is in My Word. Look back to the beginning of the Bible and you will see I made everything by My Word and all it made had life in it. My life. Life that is the light of men. Light be. The light of life and I am the Father of all lights. And that life is in My Word which gives light and enlightens every man. That is life and it is contained in the seed of My Word, which gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
Man does not live on bread alone but on every Word that comes from My mouth. Physically your body needs physical food, but if you only had a body you would not be alive. You know that when you see a body lying in death. It can look strong and healthy but once the life leaves it, the spirit and soul, it lies lifeless as if merely a suit of clothing. A mere tent that housed the life, the light of life enlightened it and when it is gone there is nothing there but the shell that held it. The husk of the body of life therein.
My Words are LIFE to those who find them and health to all their flesh. My Word made and sustains all. My Words are Spirit and life. They are God-breathed, Spirit-breathed.
My Words are no idle words for mere social chatter, they are your very LIFE. They are how you were formed, how the breath of life came into you, and how you are sustained as a living being. So be careful what words you are feeding yourself with (hearing and meditating on) and what words you are sowing and growing in you (speaking). Death and life are in the power of your tongue. You eat the fruit of your lips and you are feeding it to others to. What are you feeding your friends, your colleagues, your children, your spouses, your siblings, and even strangers you happen to speak with? Death or life?
The definition of life is simple. Life is My Word and My Word is life. My Words are words of eternal life. There is no other word you can go to that will give you that.
If you want more life, abundant life, now you have your answer. Get more of My Word in you. Eat more Word and less worldly world—by worldly word I mean the opinions of the ungodly, such as those filling the world with words of death—such as abortion, revenge, gossip, malicious speech, scoffing, complaining, fear, anxiety, obscenity, gay rights, gender identity training, and I could go on. These are idle, life-taking not life-giving words. They are not of Me but of the evil one.
If you want life, you must choose life so that you and your descendants will live the life that is life indeed.
Now I think you will understand My Words to Joshua as he led the people into enemy territory where there were words that would bring them down: “Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the instruction (Torah, My Words) which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may achieve success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-9.
And now take in Psalm 1 with new ears: “Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His Law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:1-3.
And Proverbs 4:20-23: “My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. They are not to escape from your sight. Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.”

Speak life into yourself and into others. Let My Word richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing yourself and one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to Me. Colossians 3:16. And when you sing My Word it goes down in your heart to lead you on the Highway of Holiness to everlasting joys of Zion! “Speaking to yourselves and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:19. Read the Bible outloud to yourselves and your children, your siblings and your spouses, your friends and, if they let you, even your enemies! If any of them let My Word in, and your children will if you exercise persistence in this, it has the power to save their souls and heal their bodies. It is Life. “Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3.
Jesus is My Word made flesh dwelling among you and He told you, “I am the bread of life.” That means My Word is the food of life. You live, literally, by My Word. And My Spirit breathed Word is the life that is in you, it went forth from Me and it returns to Me having achieved the goal for which I sent it—your unique and special life. Before time began, I had a Word in My heart that was you and when I spoke it, you came into being, and when you return it, it returns to Me but you are with it for once I spoke you into being, My Word became your life and so it will always be uniquely you. I call you each by name. And there is a name for you that I have, that no one knows but you and Me. And when you come to the Kingdom forever you will know that name. Revelation 2:17. You will know even as you are known.
I love you. If you feel your life is at a low ebb and you are being tossed about by the cares of this world you need a good dose of life, that is, a good dose of My Word. Take My advice to Joshua and My advice to Solomon to heart and do as I told them. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh.
