Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46.

The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. Revelation 12:12.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Cup your hands together and the swing them open slowly as if hinged together on the side of your little fingers and imagine, like a oyster shell opening, you see there in the palm of your hand a most beautiful pearl the size of your palm. And then think about one of the shortest parables My Son told about the Kingdom: “The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:45-46.

You who have Jesus as Lord have found that pearl. But the question is have you given Me your all, that is, presented your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Me, which is your reasonable service (worship) and stepped out from being conformed to this world, by being transformed from glory to glory by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is My good and pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2. If you have not, you have not taken ownership of that pearl. You cannot serve two masters; you cannot serve Me and mammon. Mammon is the ideology, lusts, and priorities of the world, the flesh and the devil. It is giving in to the morals of society even when they are contrary to Mine so that you will be politically correct and not offend any sinner by pointing out his destructive conduct. The wicked cut their lives short and destroy their destiny but what is even worse is they try to drag everyone onto that wide road of destruction with them, including little children and vulnerable people who could go either way—good or bad, depending on what they hear. Fence straddlers are dangerous to themselves and others, they go the way the wind blows at the moment. Tossed about by every wind of doctrine, they are not rooted and grounded in Christ. Double minded is really not committed, they are not intentional followers of My Son. Almost like tossing your pearls before swine.

But to those who fear My Name, to those who value My Word, those who honor Me, the pearl is most precious. And the interesting thing is that the pearl you took possession of by the violence of your love becomes the gate through which you enter the Kingdom it represents. Yes, have you never read of John’s vision of the Heavenly City, the New Jerusalem, Mt. Zion? It has twelve massive and awesome gates and each gate is formed of a single pearl! Revelation 21:21. And each gate is inscribed with a name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel, from whom, once you are in Jesus, each of you is a descendant as a descendant of Abraham. Galatians 3:29. You see, My Son told you, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12. Love is the most powerful force of all, for I am love and I am the all powerful Almighty One. The power belongs to Me and with those with whom I share it and I share it with those who love Me. And you cannot even begin to imagine the beauty and splendor of My Heavenly Kingdom, that pearl of great price, that I have prepared for those who love Me.

Jesus told you that He is the gate, you enter no other way but through Him. So what can you decipher from this? JESUS IS THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” Revelation 5:12.

Right before the parable of the pearl of great price, Jesus speaks the other short parable of the Kingdom, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” Matthew 13:44.

The treasure hidden in the field speaks of the humanity of Jesus, the pearl of great price of the divinity of Jesus and that pearl becomes your entrance into the Kingdom.

The unfathomable riches I have set before you in Christ as My gift to you. And in both parables what is the result when the treasure beyond measure is found? The seeker went back, sold all, and took possession of the treasure.

I so loved the world that I gave My only begotten Son that all who believe in Him will never perish but will have eternal life. Abundant life here, the treasure hidden in the field, and the eternal life of beauty and grace forever, the pearl of great price. Jesus is the wisest investment you can make for in Him you find all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. In Him you find the entrance to the Kingdom.

Paul called all he once thought so valuable as nothing but rubbish in his eyes once he found the pearl of great price. “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.” Philippians 3:7-9. He gave all for the infinite treasure beyond measure that made what he though was “all” only rubbish in comparison. And even more, “forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14. He was claiming the pearl of great price!

You gain ALL when you give ALL. The measure you use is measured back to you. Don’t spend your precious life going after treasures that perish when you can have the one that is eternal. Jesus did not die to give you a beautiful life so that you would throw it away to the dogs and the swine. Be careful how you live. You have a treasure beyond price and you hold it in your hands. Will you take it and guard it in your heart or will you let it slip through your fingers?

Even earthly pearls need care and the heavenly pearl is no different. Pearls last a long time but if you let them dry out, they turn yellow or even crack. When it comes to pearls turning yellow, prevention is the best cure. It’s as simple as that: You just shouldn’t allow your pearls to dry out. You must wear your pearls regularly to keep them from drying out. The contact with your skin provides them with oils that your pearls absorb, keeping them moisturized. Wearing your pearls is the best way to keep them pure white, smooth and beautiful.

If you don’t abide in Me but in the stranger’s words you will be like a withered branch that has detached from the vine, that dries up and is only good to be burnt. Don’t cast your pearls before swine or give what is holy to dogs. What do believers have in common with unbelievers?

I love you. Value your pearl. Wear your pearl, don’t toss it aside. Put on Christ and sing. The pearl you took possession of by the violence of your love becomes the gate through which you enter the Kingdom it represents.
