Who is this that grows like the dawn, as beautiful as the full moon, as pure as the sun, as awesome as an army with banners? Song of Songs 6:10.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Proverbs 4:18.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Just as the sun bounds up from behind the hill early in the morning, first a sliver and then up pops the sun from the womb of the dawn, changing all to glorious golden splendor, so too can I turn your life from darkness to light—from indistinct images to golden clarity bathed in the splendor of a new day. Arise sleeper and Christ will give you light!

The splendor of the dawn is entirely different from the steady noonday heat, the colors, the glow, the glory turn into the intense gaze of dazzling heat. The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Proverbs 4:18. Full day, unending day, eternal day. But the way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:19. Shadow land, veiled faces—eyes and minds blinded by the “god” of this world. 2 Corinthians 4:4.

In My song of songs to you I summarize the life of a believer, the growth of the believer to full maturity, in this way: “Who is this that grows like the dawn, as beautiful as the full moon, as pure as the sun, as awesome as bannered ones?” Song of Songs 6:10. I say this of the bride, My beloved, which is each believer and the church as Christ’s body and bride, of which you are each a member.

The life of a believer “grows like the dawn.” Have you ever watched the dawn? Deepest darkness where no colors show begins to lighten to a deep blue and then light grows from the horizon as orange and pink appear on the bottom of the clouds that were floating in the sky all the time, then a sliver of brilliant orange comes over the mountains and then out comes the sun as it rises and all turns to a golden light, pure and  bright, glowing with My splendor. “The heavens are telling the glory of God, and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1. A radiant dawn has grown from darkness to light before your eyes as you gaze at the heavens in awe filled wonder. “Their word has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; it rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens, and its circuit to the other end of them; and there is nothing hidden from its heat.” Psalm 19:4-6. And no longer can you gaze upon the sun; it is too bright for earthly eyes. The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Proverbs 4:18.

And the next stage of growth you see in My Song of Songs is that you are “as beautiful as the full moon.” Song of Songs 6:10. The moon is not the sun, it is not the source of the light, but it reflects the light of the sun so that it shines in splendor and lights up the darkness of the night. But you note, I say the full moon. The world blocks the light of the sun from reaching the moon, it has to be out of the way for the moon to be full. When the world blocks the sunshine from reaching the moon, the moon is totally dark, you call it a “new moon.” Do you see? Some of you shine with My light brighter than others. Why? The less you let the world block out My light the more radiant you shine in this world made dark by Adam’s sin that released death into the world and separated you from your source of Light. “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” John 2:15-17. Love of the world is enmity to Me; you just cannot serve two masters. By the world I mean the world system the way the devil has led mankind. The devil offered the “world” to Jesus if Jesus would only bow to him, but Jesus would not. But many have bowed to the devil to have the fleeting joy of sin, but the wages of sin is death.

The world got in the way of Samson’s splendor, and in a different way it did for the rich young ruler who refused Jesus’ invitation to join the Kingdom. The same happened to the Pharisees and priests of Jesus’ time on earth for they preferred the life of empty show (the boastful pride of life) to My glory—they sought human glory based on your own self efforts and not the glory that comes from Me. They loved the glory of men more than My glory. They boasted in themselves and not in Me, remember the Pharisee and the tax collector? The Pharisee was bragging to Me how great he was and how he did all on his own. He sought his own righteousness and not Mine.

Also, My Son told His first parable about this. And in that parable, He told you how the world can stop My light from getting into your heart, “And the seed sown among thorns represents those who hear the Word, but they allow the cares of this life and the seduction of wealth and the desires for other things to crowd out and choke the Word so that it produces nothing.” Mark 4:18-19.

The world with its lusts is passing away, but the one who does My Will lives forever. 1 John 2:17. Endless day, there is no night in the Kingdom of Heaven, it is one continuous glorious day. The Last Day dawns the first day and the first day becomes the eternal day.

There is no darkness in Me at all and I, like the sun, shine on all. One sun shines on all on earth. I shine on the bad and the good, the just and the unjust, but the world can block My light, just as it does with the light that reaches the moon. Satan can blind your eyes with the world by making it loom before you bigger than the sun. The devil, the “god” of this world, will try to make you bow down to his realm of darkness and offer you the “glory” of the world, but the fleeting joys of sin are as a watch in the night. And in eternity, night is gone. No evil can hide there, all is exposed to the Light.

How do you escape the corruption that is in the world through lust that will block My light from shining on you? My Spirit through David tells you to “look to the LORD and be radiant so your face will not blush with shame.” Psalm 34:5. Look to Me. Keep your eyes on Jesus. On My Word. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Peter 1:2-6.

Knowing Me and Jesus, knowing My magnificent promises, so by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. My magnificent promises are like the rising sun—so bright that you cannot look straight at them, they are too overwhelming in the greatness of what I have done and am doing for you in Christ. If you know these things, sin no longer can tempt you to something so far beneath what is yours in My Word.

Notice in Psalm 19 that David first sings of the lessons of My glory you learn from watching the heavens and the sunrise, and then he goes on to extol the glory of My Word. He tells  you that My Words, that is, My law (torah), My commandments, and My testimonies, restore the soul, make the simple wise, rejoice the heart, are pure, enlighten your eyes (this is the cure for the blindness Satan throws as a veil over the eyes of the unbelievers, “in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4.), are better than heaps of pure gold, and are sweeter than honey from the comb. Psalm 19:7-10. They outclass anything the “world” has to offer and are eternal. In them you are warned and keeping them brings great reward. Psalm 19:11. And how does Psalm 19 end? With David’s prayer, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14. Is this your desire too? If so, My face can shine into you, “For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6.

And that is the secret, My light must shine into your heart to drive out the darkness of doubt, stress, anxiety, fear, pride, lust, and sin. Then you can be “as beautiful as the full moon,” with the world out of the way completely. Minds set above where you are seated in Christ at My right hand and not dwelling in the dirt of the world where the snake crawls and eats. Satan had no part in Jesus, and you should not give him any part of your heart either.

And what is next in your growth to spiritual maturity in My Song of Songs? “Pure as the sun.” There is no darkness in the sun. There is no darkness in Me. James 1:17. I am pure. And in Psalm 19 it is written that “The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:8. A pure heart is a heart filled with light, there is no darkness when evil hides. Jesus told the disciples they were clean (pure) because of the Words He had spoken to them. My Word cleans you of impurities. My Word sanctified you in truth. Remember? Jesus sanctifies the church, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:26-27.

My Words are pure, enlightening the eyes. “The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.” Luke 11:34-36. But if the light that is in you is darkness, how deep that darkness will be. Matthew 6:23.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you.” Isaiah 60:1-2. You have to rise up early to see the dawn, if you sleep you will miss it. Arise sleeper! And Christ will give you light.

And what is the final stage of growth in Song of Songs 6:10? You become “as awesome as an army with banners (degel in Hebrew).” The armies of nations and kingdoms carry a banner identifying who they belong to. Each of the twelve tribes when they marched in array to the promised land and later in war carried their own banner identifying with what tribe they were a part. My banner (degel) over you is love. Song of Songs 2:4. And My banner (nesi) over you is miracles bringing victory. Exodus 17:15. And how do you carry banners? With lifted hands, high in the air. Praise. It takes down the prince of the air. And when you raise up the banner of love, to whom do you show you belong? To Me. I am Love. And so is Jesus and so is My Spirit. We are One. We are love. And when you are in us, so are you. I made you that way, out of Me, in My image and likeness. I made you to shine My love on you and for you to shine it back to Me and out to all, like the moon reflecting the sun but much better, for My Light is now IN you to enlighten you with the light of life. Christ is in you and He is the Light of the World. Do you see now why no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the Light of Life? Illumined from within. I light your lamp.

Lift your banner high. Show the whole world your Jesus. When He is lifted up, He draws all men to Himself.

I love you. Let the light shine in, get the world with its seductions, meanness, pride, fear, evil, lust, and corruption out of the way of the sun so you can shine like the full moon. “Who is this that grows like the dawn, as beautiful as the full moon, as pure as the sun, as awesome as an army with banners?” Song of Songs 6:10. I would like to say it is YOU. Help Me out in this. Sunbathe in My Word every day. And here is a hint: it is good to do it at dawn as you watch the sun rise.

“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the LORD of hosts.
