Beloved, concerning all, I desire that you prosper and are in good health just as your soul prospers. For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. 3 John 1:2-4.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

In everything, it is My intention that you prosper and are in good health JUST AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS. Do you see? True prosperity and health come from the state of  your soul, which is your mind, will, and emotions. You are a spirit in My image, you have a soul, as I also do, and you live in a body, flesh, blood and bone. Your present physical body will perish but your spirit and soul are forever and will join with your immortal and glorious body forever.

How does your soul prosper? I make the answer clear. Just read on from the line where I tell you that I intend for you to prosper in all areas of your life, by walking in the truth. That is, by living each day of the journey of your life knowing and abiding in the truth.

Let us back up just a bit though and look at the verses there in the language they were written in, Greek. “Beloved (agapētós, from agape love, which is the purest and highest form of love, it is the love I have for you that is unconditional), concerning all (pas: the whole, all, everything), I pray (euchomai: to wish or offer, to intend, it is the root word of the word for “pray”) that you may prosper (euodoo: to have a prosperous journey, it is from “eu,” meaning good, and from “hodos, meaning a journey on a particular road. It means to be on the right (profitable) path leading to real success where you truly prosper and are prospered) and be in good health (hugiano: to be well, sound, pure, healthy) (hygiano means to be in good working order, free from debilitation, incapacity, and handicaps, all parts working together), just as your soul prospers (euodoo again). For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking (peripateó: from peri and pateo; to tread all around, i.e. walk at large (especially as proof of ability); figuratively, to live, deport oneself, following) truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking (peripateó) in the truth.” 3 John 1:2-4.

I want your sojourn on earth to be a fruitful and prosperous journey in all ways—spirit (born again and anointed, a strong spirit, constantly hearing from Me in your inner man of the heart), soul (mind, will and emotions in peace tuned into My Word, anxious for nothing), and body (healthy, strong, in good shape for a long fruitful life doing the work I gave you to do for the good of all). Therefore be attentive to and careful how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming and making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what My will is. Ephesians 5:15-17.

And to do this, I tell you how. You must prosper your soul. And that is a result of personal diligence in feeding, exercising, and giving drink to your soul. And how do you do that? With spirit and soul food: My Word. My Word is truth. Get the food to prosper your soul by reading, hearing, and pondering My Word. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30. Learn from the Word Himself and find rest and growth for your souls.

Exercise your soul by speaking, meditating on, declaring, and singing My Word, and do not forget the Voice of Thanksgiving that brings wonders.

And you give yourself drink by getting filled with the Holy Spirit. “All who are thirsty, let them come to Me and drink!” And Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit, whom He called “the Spirit of truth” and “living water.” And you build yourself up praying in the Spirit, that is, in tongues. One who speaks in a tongue, speaks not to men but to Me, and edifies himself. 1 Corinthians 14:1-4.

“And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” Ephesians 5:18-20. And that is how to drink and get filled.

Be careful what you feeding your soul, in what ways you are exercising it (I hate feet that run swiftly to evil), and what you are drinking in each moment of every day. “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight. Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; turn your foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:20-27.

I gave Joshua the same advice as he was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land to conquer, “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9.

And I begin the Psalms with the same instruction, it is hard to miss this and yet most people do not apply any diligence to filling their homes and their hearts with My Word, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.  He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:1-3.

Let My Word dwell in you richly. Put off the old patterns of thinking and put on the new. Put on the garment of praise in place of the spirit of fainting. And here is the key to walking in the truth, Jesus said, “If you continue (abide, remain) in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32. Jesus came to save you filled with grace and truth. My Word is truth and it sanctifies, consecrates, cleanses, saves, and heals. It gives life, eternal life. Death and life are in the power of your tongue. I will that all people be saved and come to know the truth. Why? The truth will set you free. Free from the curse, from sin, from addictions, from the devil, from oppression, from self-condemnation, and from every kind of illness, infirmity and disease. I send My Word to heal you and to deliver you from ALL your destructions (pits). Receive the implanted Word and grow it, for it has the power in it to save your souls. Walk with Me and be free. And we can walk in the everlasting way.

I love you. There is great reward in filling your home and your heart and your mouth with My Word. Yes, you will begin to walk in the truth, and this will prosper your soul and cause you to be in good heath and to prosper. It all starts by planting My Word in your heart and diligently cultivating it.
