Wisdom is the first (beginning, chief) thing; get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7.

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” John 16:12-13.

Attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

There are many things which are too great for you to know now but there are multitudes of things you can know and experience now if you are willing to seek them out. David felt this in his heart when he sang, “One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the delightfulness of the LORD and to inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27:4. He wanted to go deeper, he wanted wisdom, “Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6. Wisdom of heart comes from a hearing heart that receives the implanted Word. Solomon did not just ask for wisdom, he asked for a heart that hears Me.

I gave you Jesus, My Word among you revealing Me to you, and in Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, but these things build throughout your walk of life, in time and on into eternity, they unfold from glory to glory for those who seek them. The more you value them, the more I will show you. And I know those who value them. “Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.” John 2:23-25. You do not cast your pearls before swine or give what is holy to dogs. They just do not give them any value but trample them underfoot instead and even tear to shreds those who deliver them.

If My Word is precious to you and you seek wisdom you will find what you are seeking, for when you seek Me with all your heart, you will find Me right there with you. And true wisdom is from Me and from My mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6. “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice, and He preserves the way of His godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things; from those who leave the paths of uprightness.” Proverbs 2:6-13.

Jesus, on the night before He gave His life for you, told His grieving and mystified disciples, “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” John 16:12-13. But you have the Spirit of truth in you and with you now for Jesus died and I raised Him to My right hand and He received the Holy Spirit of promise from Me and poured Him onto all believers. The Spirit, the anointing—“you have an anointing from the Holy One and you all know the truth.” 1 John 2:20-21. “As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27. “This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.” 1 John 3:23-24.

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding. The Spirit of counsel and fortitude. The Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD. Isaiah 11:2. Do you see? Wisdom and understanding go together. Counsel and strength do also. There is safety and strength in having godly counselors. And knowledge gives you the fear (honor, reverence, willing obedience, delight in Me and My Words) of the Lord, for when you know Me the virtues grow in you with the grace that I lavish on you. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.” 2 Peter 1:2-11.

Wisdom and understanding—that is what Pharaoh saw in Joseph when he promoted him to rule the country second only to Pharaoh himself. “Then Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?” So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning (understanding) and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” Genesis 41:38-40. And Pharaoh recognized the wisdom and understanding as coming from My Spirit in Joseph, though Pharaoh did not know Me. He saw that Joseph had a connection with Me which made him wiser and with more understanding than all his wisemen and advisors and he wanted him in his government.

What do people see in you? I tell you quite clearly that “For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.” Luke 21:15.

Pharaoh saw it in Joseph and Nebuchadnezzar saw it in Daniel. “Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and did homage to Daniel and gave orders to present to him an offering and fragrant incense. The king answered Daniel and said, “Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.” Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts, and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.” Daniel 2:46-48. And Nebuchadnezzar gave glory to Me, as the God of gods, to My Son as Lord (Adonai) of kings (He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords), and the Holy Spirit as the revealer of mysteries. All because of Daniel’s wisdom and understanding, which exceed that of all his wisemen and advisors. And what had Daniel said of Me the night before he interpreted the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, “He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding. It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him. To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for You have given me wisdom and power; even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, for You have made known to us the king’s matter.” Daniel 2:21-23. He prayed for wisdom and understanding, a spirit of revelation, and I answered. “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5.

And Daniel’s reputation went down the generations, when Nebuchadnezzar’s son saw a hand writing on the wall, he shook with fear and no one could read the inscriptions. The Queen then entered the banquet hall with advice for him, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts alarm you or your face be pale. There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God; and in the days of your father, illumination, insight and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him. And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, your father the king, appointed him chief of the magicians, conjurers, Chaldeans and diviners. This was because an extraordinary spirit, knowledge and insight, interpretation of dreams, explanation of enigmas and solving of difficult problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Let Daniel now be summoned and he will declare the interpretation.” Daniel 5:10-12.

When you are close to Me, it shows to others. “Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13.

I love you. Call on Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know. There is so much more for you to know and understand. Let Me show you.
