Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return. Luke 6:38.

And He was saying to them, “Take care what you listen to. By your standard of measure it will be measured to you; and more will be given you besides. Mark 4:24.

Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Today is Life Lesson No. 3 in how to live the abiding life. Jesus told you, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7. If you are interested in asking for whatever you wish and having it done, you would do well to live the abiding life.

The first lesson was “forgive, forget and proceed,” the next was “do not fear; only keep on believing, and today’s life lesson is “Give and it shall be Given to You.”

This is a spiritual law, give and it shall be given to you. Luke 6:38. What would you like to receive? Give accordingly so you can receive in like kind from Me. And more besides. But be aware of this: you must give to receive. You can understand it in an agricultural situation, and I do liken you to branches abiding in the vine, but the seed you plant and cultivate is the harvest you will receive. You do not sow corn seed if you want wheat. And the more seed you sow the bigger the harvest you receive. And the more care you take of its growth, the better the quality of your crop will be. That is the way the physical law works and it comes from the spiritual realm. That is why Jesus used examples such as a sower sowing seed, lilies of the field, building a foundation on rock or shifting sand, and lessons from birds and signs in the sky of the weather forecast.

From the beginning I blessed man and told him to bear much fruit. That was the Blessing. And I gave him seed with which to replenish and harvest the earth. After the flood, I blessed Noah and his household to be fruitful and I said in My heart, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22. And when I blessed Abraham with the Blessing, I told him that I was blessing him to be a blessing. Genesis 12:2-3.
And the principle that you reap what you sow is true not only in farming but also in every facet of your life, that is, you sow your thoughts, your words, your tithes, your offerings, the way you treat others, your time, your money, your works, your service to others, and so many other things, and it is from these that you reap the harvest of your life. It makes a great difference in what you harvest whether you sow to the flesh or sow to the spirit. You are sowing every day whether you do it intentionally or unintentionally. And you can be giving grudgingly or cheerfully. It all has to do with what you purpose in your heart—the thoughts and intentions of your heart.

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:7-8. He who sows iniquity will reap vanity, and the rod of his fury will perish. Proverbs 22:8. “Sow with a view to righteousness, reap in accordance with kindness; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD until He comes to rain righteousness on you.” Hosea 10:12.

Jesus told you to give to Me what is Mine and give to Caesar what is Caesar’s. What is Mine? There is one thing I ask of you and that is to give Me first place in your life. Those who give Me honor, I honor. And that is what the tithe and first fruits are about.

But what am I seeking above all? I stand at the door and knock, if you hear My voice and open to Me, I come in to you and dine with you. I am seeking your fellowship. I have called you to fellowship in My Son. 1 Corinthians 1:9. I am seeking your heart. Samson gave Delilah his heart and revealed all to her that was in his heart. I did not have first place in his life. And he found that he could not trust her with his heart. He lost his life by doing that. Love others but only give your heart to Me and you will find your life. Unite your heart as one with Mine by My Spirit dwelling in you.

I sowed the imperishable seed of My Word into the earth to take flesh and My harvest was a family reclaimed, reconciled, ransomed, redeemed, and restored. He became the firstborn of many brethren. In Him, I redeemed back a family outnumbering the stars of the sky and the sand of the sea. Just as I promised Abraham, from whom Jesus was descended according to the flesh. Abraham sowed his son to Me that day on Moriah, going so far as to put him on the altar as a burnt offering, and the harvest of his seed was My giving My Seed of the Word from his line as the burnt offering for all.

Draw close to Me and I draw close to you. Give Me fellowship and I give fellowship back. Give Me constant communion and I give you constant communion with Me. Give Me your time and I multiply time back to you, and it is quality time. Give Me the tithe, and you know the promise, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts. “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 3:10-12. These are spiritual laws and they will work for everyone who practices them. But if you do not do them, you cannot have the result. You must give to receive.

And when you give to the poor, you give to Me and I will repay you. Proverbs 19:17 (“One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his good deed.”). In fact, I told the disciples that when you give for the Gospel you receive back one hundred times more than what you give. Mark 10:29-30. Paul told those giving to a collection for the church in Jerusalem, “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; as it is written, “He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, his righteousness endures forever.” Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-10. And later Paul told the church at Philippi, who sent supplies to help him in his ministry, that because of their generosity to the cause of the preaching of the gospel, “my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19. And he explained further, “You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs. Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.” Philippians 4:15-17.

The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered.. Proverbs 11:25. And if you give your bread to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday. And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:10-11.

If you abide in Me and My Word abides in you, you will become like Me—generous in everything. When I gave you My Son, I gave you the best that I have, for He is everything. I have honored you. Will you give honor in return? And when you do, I give you everything with Him besides. I open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing you cannot contain. I bless you to be a blessing. As you have received, so give.

Give Me place in your life and give Satan no place in you.

I love you. Abide and I will give you your heart’s desires. Why? Because our desires will be one and the same.
