Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a cross”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Forget not ALL My benefits. But actually there are so many that it would be like when I showed Abraham the night sky studded with stars and told him to count them if he could. And yet I have given you EVERY spiritual blessing in Heaven. The BLESSING of the LORD makes rich and adds no sorrowful toil with it. Proverbs 10:22. My apostle Peter touches on My benefits, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us EVERYTHING pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and MAGNIFICENT promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Peter 1:2-4. Partakers of My divine nature. And I am righteous. And that is one of My Names of who I am to you, I AM THE LORD YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. And it is being righteous that qualifies you to be seated at My right hand and for receiving My Blessings forever.

Today we continue our series “Forget not ALL His benefits” with Life Lesson No. 7: “The BLESSING of Abraham.” This is very important as it is written: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a cross”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.

Jesus died to open the Blessing of Abraham to all by putting all who believe in Him in Covenant with Me so that you would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Before you can receive My promised Holy Spirit you must be made righteous. You must awake to righteousness. You must be a new creation in Christ. The Blessing of Abraham is a blessing of increase, dominion authority, fruitfulness, prosperity, and favor, but it is primarily the blessing of the GIFT of righteousness by faith. All those other things flow and are bestowed as a consequence of righteousness. And that righteousness that was credited to Abraham by faith (“‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Genesis 15:6) was then paid in full by My Son. “But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption . . . For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.” Hebrews 9:11-12, 15.

My servant Paul understood this by revelation from Me, he wrote for your benefit, “if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God, for what does the Scripture say? ‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.’ Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: ‘Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD will not take into account.’” And how did Abraham get this blessing of justification and the gift of righteousness? By faith. “Faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.” So you see here the Blessing was receiving My righteousness without earning it by his works but as a gift taken by faith. “For the promise to Abraham or to his descendant that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.” Romans 4:1-16.

Abraham lived many years before Moses. The covenant I made with Abraham was not based on the law but on faith, it was grace. I did something with Abraham that is not being considered as much as it should be. Although Abraham lived about two thousand years before Jesus took flesh and dwelt among you and died for your sins, Abraham was enjoying the benefits of the gospel beforehand. Paul revealed to you, “The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, ‘All the nations will be blessed in you.’ So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.” Galatians 3:8-9. And Jesus states, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” John 8:56-58.

I did nothing without revealing it to Abraham (“The LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed? For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” Genesis 18:17-19), even how I would offer My Son. I told Abimelech that Abraham was a prophet.

When I told Abraham to offer up Isaac as a burnt offering, he was ready to do so. Why? “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son; it was he to whom it was said, “In Isaac your descendants shall be called.” He considered that God is able to raise even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type.” Hebrews 11:17-18. As a shadow of the substance that would come, that is, Jesus, My Beloved Son. He told Isaac that “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” Genesis 22:8. And many years later John, baptizing at the Jordan River, identified the Lamb to whom Abraham had referred. “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!” But Abraham had seen that day already and rejoiced. And not only had he seen it, but he walked under the covering of that righteousness himself by faith. And it brought unmerited favor in every area of his life. The Blessing of Abraham, health, prosperity and peace in all realms of your life.

And when I gave Abraham victory over the kings who came and carried off the people and goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, a very extraordinary event happened. I gave Abraham communion ahead of time with the High Priest Melchizedek, that is, King of Righteousness and King of peace. He brought out bread and wine and blessed Abraham as possessor of Heaven and earth. Without father or mother, no beginning or end, and I have appointed My Son Jesus a priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek. Abraham saw the day of Jesus and he rejoiced for before Abraham came to be Jesus was. My Son is Prince of Peace. Who then is the King of Peace? Just as Moses was My friend, so already was Abraham, My friend. Isaiah 41:8 (“But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham My friend.”) And we spoke with one another face to face as friends do. Exodus 33:11 (“Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.”) “And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.” James 2:23.

And when Abraham, like Me, was willing to sacrifice his beloved son, I made him a promise, “By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son, indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of HIS enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” Genesis 22:16-18. I gave him the honor of his line being the one who would clothe My Son in flesh according to His humanity, so I could offer Him as the burnt offering to take away all the sins of the world, including those of Abraham and his descendants, to whom I gave the credit by faith ahead of time, but the true sacrifice had to be made so that credited account was paid in full. Colossians 2:14, Hebrews 9:15. And Jesus told you that the gates of Hell would not prevail against His body, the Church, built on the rock of the revelation that He is the promised Messiah, My Son. Matthew 16:18.

And My servant Paul elaborates, “Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ. What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise. Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made.” Galatians 3:16-19. The Blessing of Abraham was for Jesus and through Him to all who believe in Him and are justified in Him by faith. “Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise.” Galatians 3:24-29.

And the promise of Genesis 22:16-18 ties in to the blessing of Abraham by and his communion with Melchizedek, “For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.” And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. For men swear by one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:14-20. I appointed My Son and revealed it to My prophet David ahead of time as he states in Psalm 110, a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. And Abraham tithed to Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham as he was returning from the slaughter of the kings, and Melchizedek blessed him. Melchizedek without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, he remains a priest perpetually. “And when all things are subjected to Jesus, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:28.

So what does all this mean to you? Everything. In Jesus I have redeemed you from the curse of the law and given you the Blessing of Abraham so that you receive the promise of the Holy Spirit through faith. And the Holy Spirit produces nine fruit in your spirit and gives you grace gifts that benefit all. The Blessing of Abraham is a blessing of the gift of My righteousness as your own by faith in the gospel AND from that flows all the benefits listed in Deuteronomy 28 but none of the curses. Have you ever read the benefits that are yours in the Blessing of Abraham? Why do you think Jacob cheated Esau out of it and desired it so earnestly? It was the blessing of the firstborn, but now you are joint heirs with Christ who is the firstborn of many brethren but you all get the firstborn blessing, “Now it shall be, if you diligently hear the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you listen to and obey the LORD your God: Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your beasts, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out. The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you. The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. So all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will be afraid of you. The Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. The Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully, and do not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.” Deuteronomy 28:1-14.

But to sum up, in BLESSING, I shall bless you, and in MULTIPLYING, I shall multiply you and open the floodgates of Heaven to pour out a blessing you cannot contain. All sufficiency for your needs and an abundance for every good work. I give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. My Word. And Abraham teaches you to tithe. The first thing I said to him after he tithed the best of his increase to Melchizedek I spoke these words to Abraham, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1. And that is another benefit you should never forget but enforce when the enemy seeks to destroy something that is yours, whether it be a member of your family or of your possessions, finances, or your own peace and health, that you who tithe have tither’s rights. What are those? “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts. “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 3:10-12. “Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10.

Never forget all My benefits. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9. “The Blessing of the LORD makes rich and He adds no sorrowful toil with it.” Proverbs 10:22.

The Blessing of Abraham determined the family line that would give birth to My Son according to the flesh to seal the gift of righteousness that begun with the faith of Abraham. Everyone on earth has been blessed by faithful Abraham. I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have called you to be My own, I have drawn you with human cords and joined Myself with your flesh and bone.

Well, we have only touched upon the Blessing of Abraham, which is the Eden blessing revisited after the fall, but I think you know enough now to declare yourself, you who have been made righteous by faith in My Son, BLESSED. And thus release the Blessing of Abraham to go to work in your life. The Blessing knows what to do, it will immediately begin to grow a garden of Eden in your life. A place called grace.

And in remembering ALL your benefits, remember that Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law, which consists of lack, sickness, and eternal death. If any of those are trying to enter your life, rebuke them and tell them that you have been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb and then put the Blessing to work to eradicate any vestige of the curse that remains.

Receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness and reign in life through Christ Jesus your Lord.

Remember, I blessed Abraham to be a blessing, to bless every person on earth, and the same applies to you today.

I love you. I made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin on your behalf so that you might become the righteousness of God in Him.
