Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Ephesians 5:1.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Adults often ask children, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” And many, even very little children, have an answer. Why? They want to become like someone they admire. It is someone they watch, either in their family, teachers, relatives, and friends, but more often in the present days of mass media and technology, it is characters and people who are featured on shows they watch or things they view on the internet. They like sparkle and glitter, fairy tales and happily ever after. You will find, even little children, begin to imitate, talk like, and have the same viewpoint as those they watch the most.
And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2.
What do I want you to be? I think you would want to know since I planned you from the start of creation to be Mine and I am ultimately the only one to whom you must render an account for your life to receive your rewards. And remember you become what you behold the most. It is good to direct your attention to the most important things that will make you soar with eagle wings.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:28-31.
So My answer is simple but very deep because it goes to the very roots and foundations of your being—spirit, soul, and body, and it is within your heart.
I want you to be just like Me, just like Me.
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Ephesians 5:1-2.
I planned you from the start, conceived you deep within My heart, forming you to be just like Me, just like Me.
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:26-27.
And who am I? If you are to be like Me, and that is eternal life, for I am eternal, you must know Me and you know Me through My Word. I sent My Word into the world so you could all know Me from the least to the greatest.
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.
I have told you who I am. I am love. 1 John 4:16. Not that I just have love, for I do beyond all you can understand, but I am love.
That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the [m]saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Ephesians 16-19.
There is nothing else in Me but love. I think in love, walk in love, and talk in love. Everything else is foreign to Me and cannot enter or even penetrate My being. And I made you to be just like Me, for who I am is also My purpose. Look to Me your creator, the rock from which you are hewn, and know who you are and that your purpose flows from who you are as also does your position and your plan. And it is the same with Me.
Your purpose is to be love and that is why anything you do, no matter how great it is in the eyes of the world, means nothing to Me if it is done without love because then you did it without Me. And you can do nothing without Me but everything with Me. The power is in Me as your source but you share in that power by the fellowship of faith, which is partnership in its most meaningful state of being within another and the other within you joining in a divine union that My Son likens to a branch in the vine. All is shared making the two as one functioning unit that produces fruit. A fruitful union of two into one where the lesser through the power of the greater brings the fruit of the relationship into manifestation upon the earth. That is covenant.
I am your King, Lawgiver, and Judge which gives you a beautiful vision of life in Heaven above where all is righteousness, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit that has no downtimes but results in wonderful things that never cease. Lift up your eyes and see, is there any God besides Me?
Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; they will behold a far-distant land. . . For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us. . . And no resident will say, “I am sick”; the people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity.
Your purpose is the same as Mine, to be love and with the oneness of being unique but alike comes fellowship and mutual delight in a relationship that never ends but increases and multiplies for there is no limits with Me in what you can do and be so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Which is the fullness of love with no hindrance to its gracious flow, the fountain of life, a river of delights in the abundance of My house. Love without limits is a life without limits. It is the abundant life that I give you in Christ who is your life. Live on in the light of My love.
Your purpose then is threefold: to be love, to be in fellowship and partnership with Me, and to be fruitful, which is the result of our fellowship of partnership. And that is what I set forth as your purpose from the day I conceived you in My heart—I made you in My own image, according to My likeness, in the oneness of family and dominion authority, and the blessing command to be fruitful, to bear much fruit, fruit that will endure forever. Genesis 1:28.
Does that describe your life? If not, we can change that now. For I am your LORD who teaches you to profit and the way you should go. Just follow the good Shepherd—keep your eyes on Jesus. Which today means keep your eyes on My Word. My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. I have fully equipped you in Him for your assignment, that is, the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance in Him. Ephesians 2:10. Are you walking in them even now? If not, it is time you woke up and let Christ give you light. For the time is shorter now than before and My Son will soon return and you will be at the judgment seat of Christ. What fruit have your borne?
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10.
And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.” Revelation 14:13.
Things may not be as they should be in your life right now. You may have not listened and wandered off into the wilderness like My people once did for forty years and many died there without completing their destiny or living their purpose or My plan. But I am here to help you fix that and that was My plan in Jesus. He can make all the wrong you did come out right. Just know where to look and stay close to Me.
I will never leave you or forsake you but for your part you must cling to Me at all times, like the branch to the vine, knowing I am with you to make all things work together for good. And it all comes from where you are looking and who you are imitating.
I love you. Now look back at today’s lesson. Do you remember I said “They like sparkle and glitter, fairy tales and happily ever after”? Just read Revelation 21 and 22. And you will know what you are all looking for is My Heavenly Kingdom. All there is beauty, sparkle and glitter of precious metals and jewels that are genuine and everywhere in the Kingdom of light but above all there is no mourning, pain, sadness, death, fear, evil, darkness, abuse, lies, theft, deception, depression, lack, corruption, or death in My Kingdom, which I have given to you, the little flock of My Son. And everything there is happily ever after, never another cloud, storm, or worry. It is worthy of your attention even now. Cheer up! Jesus has overcome the world and He is in you and you are in Him. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
