“I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me.” John 14:30-31.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
As we continue to look at the Words of Jesus at the Last Supper, Words that put His joy in you and make your joy full, Words that give you peace, and Words that keep you from stumbling, we come to a line that would surprise, or maybe even shock, many people, including believers. Jesus did not say I am the ruler of the world. He told you the devil is.
The question then becomes: What is the world as I define it?
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17.
When I speak of the “world” or the “worldly” I am speaking of a kingdom system that is different than My Kingdom. I call it “Babylon” and the realm of darkness. It is a kingdom run by the devil and the unclean spirits that fell from Heaven with him. Adam unleashed this into the earth by his rejection of My Word for the word of the devil, who then was able to rule over him and all his descendants with the lie that you, from your own flesh, were able to harness My power without My participation and use it for evil or for good. It thus is a kingdom of lawlessness, doctrines of demons, and the spirit of disobedience. It is also a place of depression, worry, fear, addictions, anxiety, doubt, rebellion, murder, robbery, jealousy, strife, division, selfish ambitions and desires, anger, bitterness, failed dreams, greed, and idolatry. It is men and women trapped in the works of the flesh, totally ruled by the spirit of disobedience and lawlessness.
In contrast, My Kingdom is one of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is free of all the encumbrances of sin. Living only at the flesh level people are out of control, life in the spirit, by contrast, is a place of self-control giving you the glorious freedom of My children operating in My Word, My power, and My shalom peace.
Jesus told Pilate in that hour of the power of darkness that His Kingdom is not here. My Kingdom is only where My Will is being done and it is a Kingdom of Light. That is why Jesus told you to pray that My Kingdom would come and My Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Since the world, or Babylonian, system is the opposite of My system you know that it is a place of unrighteousness, no true peace, no true joy, and that it is devoid of the Spirit.
But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting with joyful anticipation for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. Jude 1:17-21.
Jesus that same night at the Last Supper, said that the devil, the ruler of the world, whom He was about to crush under His feet, had no part in Him, nothing in Him at all. There was no deceit in Jesus or His Words, no malice, no offense, no bitterness, nothing of death but only of life. Judas, to the contrary, that very night, I tell you that the devil had already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot the plan to betray Jesus, John 13:2, and that during the supper Satan totally entered him. John 13:27. He had taken over Judas’ life and then caused Judas to destroy himself by putting remorse and shame upon him after Judas had succumbed to his wiles of seeking his own grandeur through greed, offense, and currying favor with the ruling class.
The devil seeks to pull you into the flesh arena devoid of the protection of communion with the Holy Spirit. This he did with Adam and Eve as well. It is the temptation of independent operation in a spirit of rebellion and disobedience usurping My power and using it for your own ends as belonging to you in your humanity without Me. Humanism combined with hedonism is the popular philosophy even today. That is 666, all man and no God and no consequences to seeking only your own personal pleasure. This is a doctrine of demons and has deceived many. It causes chaos and lawlessness. This happened to My covenant people once they conquered the promised land and Joshua and all who knew him died out. They had not taught the younger generation My Word or about Me so everyone did what was right in his own eyes and the result was chaotic lawlessness with no safety and no control. Just read the book of Judges in the Bible. Moses had told the people to write down My Word where they could see it, to speak it when they got up, when they went to bed and all day long as they walked about and to teach it to their children so it would never depart from their mouths, but even today few people do this. They give their children godless books, fairy tales, and stories of witches and sorcery. And they feed themselves on ungodly novels, magazines, newspapers and news broadcasts, TV shows, movies, and social media. But if instead you follow the advice I gave Moses, Joshua, Solomon and many others of keeping My Word as your primary source of inspiration and conduct, you will have days of Heaven on earth, at least for yourself and your family.
In case you do not know, 6 is the number of man because I conceived and planned you all in My heart on the sixth day of creation. If you notice there are six branches on the Menorah (golden lampstand symbolizing the Light of the Word) and the center shaft, or the Vine, has the servant Lamp at its head, making the seventh lamp which is perfect rest, to which all the other wicks are trimmed to face morning and evening by the priests.
This world has a culture of fear and death. If something in your life is causing you pain the answer is to end your life (euthanasia) or to kill that life (abortion). That again is humanism and hedonism. The “god” of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers and keeps them from perceiving My glory in Christ.
But the night of that Last Supper Jesus held out a different path to you who are His disciples. As you recall, My definition of a disciple is one who continues in My Word and abides in My Word so that he or she knows the truth and the truth sets them free. My Word is truth and it sanctifies you and sets you apart from the world because the world runs on lies. In His prayer for you to Me that night, Jesus states He has given you My Word and you who believe in Him are in the world but are not of the world. And how do you qualify for that status? Same way He did, you do not let the devil have any part in you. And how do you do that? The same way He did: by loving Me and doing exactly what I have commanded you to do.

And that is your answer. Be My little child and follow what I tell you. Then the devil has no part in you. When you love Me you keep My Word and then Jesus and I come to you and make our dwelling place with you and you with us. And I do that by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit abiding in and on you. When you are filled with My Holy Spirit there is absolutely no room for an unclean spirit. So your answer is to get filled with the Holy Spirit and there will be no place in you for the devil, which means there will be no darkness in you. For if the light in you is darkness, how deep will the darkness be. But you who are born again from above are born as a child of Light, for I am Light and Jesus is the Light of the world that brings you out of darkness into My own marvelous light.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.
Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:12-14.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10.
Remember, you cannot serve two masters. Today most people have a foot in both realms, the darkness and the Light. You cannot straddle the fence and stay free of Satan. Elijah challenged the people of Israel with this, they were serving and worshipping Baal but still thinking of themselves as having My protection and provision available to them. But they had shut Me out. They wanted benefits but not Me. Elijah proved I was the only God by the purifying fire that fell from Heaven and cleaned out everything that was not of Me.
And that is your answer too, purification of the silver and the gold, that is, by redemption and righteousness in Jesus, your burnt offering.
Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together. Genesis 22:7-8.
For My love is a consuming fire of all that is evil, it cleanses and purifies. Hebrews 12:29.
“Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord (Adonai), whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD (Yahavah) of hosts. “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness.” Malachi 3:1-3.
Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28-29.
Jesus baptizes you with the Holy Spirit and FIRE. And when the Spirit descended on Pentecost He came in tongues of fire that rested upon and entered every believer. He gave you a holy tongue and clean lips.
And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. Then I said, “Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.” Isaiah 6:4-7.
When the day of Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. Acts 2:1-4.
To live pure and give the devil no place you need to tame your tongue, but on your own strength no man can tame his tongue and that is why I give you a Helper, the Holy Spirit, who will teach you how to respond and give you words and a wisdom no one can take exception to or contradict. Learn to lean on Me by My Spirit within you so that you, like Jesus, will only speak words of eternal life.

That is the very best advice you will get to keep you free from the devil’s tactics, deceits, temptations, and trials, all said in one sentence. Let the whole world know of your love for Me by seeing Me in you and you in Me as you speak and do as I direct you. Stick to My Words in all you say and do.
I love you. Never let the sun go down on your anger, never give the devil any place in you. Especially not all night because if your light is darkness, how deep the darkness will be. But the good news is I have rescued you from the realm of darkness and brought you into My marvelous Light, the Kingdom of My Beloved Son, your joint inheritance.
