“You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.” John 14:28-29.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
My Word contained in the Bible and My Word to you as spoken in your heart by the Holy Spirit are of the same origin and voice. My voice and My Spirit and My Word. My sheep know My voice and follow Me. They recognize Me in My Word.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30.
Jesus told you that I was greater than Him but that we are one. He told you He was returning to Me and had come down from Heaven from Me. I sent Him and I raised Him, but He laid down His life purposefully and as One with Me.
“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 1even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.” John 10:11-18.
He is the Son of God and God Himself, it pleased Me to make all the fullness reside in Him bodily. He is your way to Me. All I give you and all you give to Me flows through Him making the divine nature abide in you and humanity in Me. But as He told you, you can do nothing without Him. He is the vine and you are the branches. You draw infinite riches from Him. In Him I make all I am available to you and as His body you make all you are available to Me and together we are Kingdom. He is My arm that reaches down to lift you up to Me so that you may be filled with all My fullness. How? By My Spirit in you and on you.
Jesus is the place of answers. Jesus is where Heaven and earth meet. Your faith Him in is what saves you and makes you more than a conqueror. I reveal Myself clearly to you in Jesus. When you behold Him you behold Me.
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40.
Your salvation, your life and your faith are all in a divine Person who is My Word living and working in you, with you, and through you, growing you in all aspects into Him who is the head, Christ, until you all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:9-16.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1 John 5:4-6.
In that passage above, which is quoted often, most people generally leave out the context. But if you leave out the context, faith in what? Look at the next line, it is faith in Jesus, faith that He is My Son. It is faith in Him that overcomes the world. And it is faith in Him that saves you, heals you, obtains forgiveness and releases you from your sins, justifies you, makes you righteous with My own righteousness, raises you up, and glorifies you.
You must know to have faith that is genuine faith and not feigned faith that you are not putting your trust in a philosophy of life or in your flesh or that of others, you are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming, by every new age formula for the secrets of the “universe” that are in you as your own source to harness the power. This is what caused the fall of Adam and Eve from the spirit to the flesh. That is the lie of the evil one that works on the lusts and pride of the flesh, all man and no need of God except at most as an accessory to your quest for the inward source of power. The devil held out to Adam and Eve if they just learned the secrets of how I operate, the secret of the power, then they did not need Me. They could do what I do and know what I know and get a the same result without Me. They could come in by another door, the back door where the operations are, like the back side of the computer. They were convinced by the devil that by disobeying Me and rejecting My Word they would know the secret of the power and harness it themselves to work for them. They were on a quest to have the results of My power without Me. As you know, that did not work. But there are many trapped in this same quest today. There is a path that seems right to a man that ends in death.
Jesus knew He was God. He knew where He came from and where He was going. He became as one of you and walked while on earth limited to human ability, but He never lost the divine nature or connection.
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God, got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. . . If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them. John 13:3-4; 14-16.
“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.” John 16:12-15.
Everything in your life now in this window of time and in eternity depends on how you respond to Jesus, which is the same as saying how you respond to My Word. It is faith in a person and being in a close relationship with Me through Him. Jesus and the Holy Spirit both work together to bring you to Me. Both provide access and both give you knowledge and understanding of who I am.
Jesus would say to those who came to Him to be healed, “Do you believe I can do this?” He knew who He was and the power that resided in Him and He knew Me. And I knew Him and entrusted you to Him.
Your only access to Me is through Him. However, through Him who always intercedes for you at the Mercy Seat, you have access straight to Me by the new and living way He inaugurated for you through the veil.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16.
Without knowing the Son you don’t know Me and without knowing Me you don’t know the Son. And how is this all revealed to you? By the Holy Spirit. And it is all from My love for you. I so loved the world I gave My Son, who is My Word, to save you and recreate you, and He so loved you He gave you the Holy Spirit to fill you with all My fullness bodily and so you could hear from Me and converse with Me constantly.
At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Luke 10:21-22.
I love you. Jesus reveals Me to you and the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to you and who you are in Him and all I have freely given you. Jesus told the disciples they should rejoice that He was returning to Me because that meant His work on earth was accomplished. He purchased your salvation by His blood, redeemed you from the curse, gave you eternal life, seated you with Him in Heaven in the Spirit, and sent you the promise of the Holy Spirit to be with you and in you always. And I crowned Him with glory and honor and you with Him as His body and bride on earth as His church and His own little flock.
But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death. For He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when He says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15:20-28.
