Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a cross”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Forget not ALL My benefits. I do not want you to be without even one of the many magnificent promises I have given you. The many benefits I freely give you flow to you from My great love for you and I have lavished My grace upon you. Every good thing given and every perfect gift comes down from Me, the Father of lights. However, there is a benefit that is more than a benefit that flows from My love and goodness, it is the gift of LOVE Himself. I give you the gift of the Holy Spirit and in Him I have given you all the fullness of God.
My apostle Paul prayed for you that “you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:17-19. Filled to all My fullness with My power working in you which is able to do far more abundantly beyond all you can ask or think! It is the gift that Jesus had to die to give you. “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a cross”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14.
Today we continue our series “Forget not ALL His benefits” with Life Lesson No. 8: “The Promise of the Spirit Through Faith.” This benefit is more than a benefit, it is the sharing of My life with you forever. You can be filled with all My fullness. I give you My Spirit and make you My dwelling place with direct access to Me twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and then for timeless eternity– fulfilling that I will NEVER leave you or forsake you. I have not left you orphans.
You can live at the level of the Most High, My level, in goodness, integrity, honor, beauty, partnership, and fellowship. You do not have to crawl in the dirt with the devil. And yet many believers are. Shake off the dust. Take off your shoes. You are on Holy ground. Come to Me and live at the God-level. That was what Balaam wanted in his life when he declared over the Israelites: “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, and the oracle of the man whose eye is opened; the oracle of him who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty.” Numbers 24:3-4. Speaking as I speak and seeing as I see. I had to tell Abraham to lift up his eyes from where he was and see what I was seeing.
I made a promise through My prophet Joel to take you up to seeing as I see and speaking as I speak by My Spirit that is being realized since the resurrection and ascension of My Son: “It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29. And how was this gift poured out to you? On the day Pentecost was fulfilled it began and has not stopped, Peter explained, “This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.” Acts 2:32-33. And it continues to this day, getting stronger and stronger for those who will receive Him, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:38-39.
The gift of My Spirit was born of a promise. Adam died to Me and became alive to sin, he switched his spirit over to another channel, to another realm, and he no longer connected to Me. His hard heart had disconnected, like a branch severed from the vine. The fruit he bore was no longer Mine from My Spirit. It was the works of the flesh from the “god” of this world. But I was determined to turn that switch back on to Me and off to Satan. And the only way to do it was by you being born again by water and the Spirit—regenerated into a new creation in Christ—blameless, holy and pure. Walk before Me and be blameless for in My light you will see light.
I promised you that your spirit would not always strive with Mine, and how would I do that? I made the promise to My prophet Ezekiel, “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” Ezekiel 36:25-27. I would give you a new heart alive to Me and dead to sin, and put My Spirit in you and on you. I would give you a life worth living, the life that is life indeed. Divine connection, divine direction, divine protection, and divine perfection can now be yours. I want you to be aware of what you have and can operate in. You can live at My level with Me in the Holy of Holies, or you can stay in the outer court and ignore the gift of the Holy Spirit.
But how do you operate at so amazing a level as I have held out to you? Galatians 3:13-14.
First faith in Jesus, for He is the door to all My benefits, all My promises are “yes” to you in Him and Him alone. There is no other way to Me and no other way I can come into your life than the door of Jesus. Through Him My divinity fits into your humanity, and through Him your humanity fits into My divinity. He unites God and Man in one seamless life. He is the only mediator between God and man for He is God and Man. But you can only say, “Jesus is Lord” by the Holy Spirit.
And when you receive Jesus as Lord, He gives you the authority to be My child and a joint heir with Him as the firstborn Son, which is the double portion. And He told you that you who believe in Him would do the works He did and greater. Sounds like Elisha with the double portion of the spirit of Elijah. And when Elisha saw Elijah ascend to Heaven, as the apostles saw Jesus, and the mantle fell, the miracles began for Elisha, just as when the mantle of the Holy Spirit fell and clothed you with power from on High the miracles began. And they began with tongues.
And Jesus told you of the wondrous gift of the Holy Spirit the night before He died for your sins on the Cross to reconcile you to Me with all your sins that divided us gone, born by Him who knew no sin but became sin for you all. He did not leave you orphans, He sent you My promised Holy Spirit to be with you and in you always to lead you, teach you, remind you of His Words, to show you things to come, and to guide you to all truth. And I tell you that the Holy Spirit witnesses with your spirit that you are My child, that He testifies to you that your sins and offenses I remember no more, and testifies to you about Jesus. That He will give you what to say when you are called to witness about Jesus and will give you words and a wisdom no one can take exception to or contradict. That He will be your advocate, your helper, your comforter, and the one by your side that will pull the helm with you, pray in you and with you, and give you the ability and skill you need to do the works I give you to do. That He will quicken your mortal body and raise you to a glorified body. That you are indwelt by Him and He gives you direct access to Me. He is the way we communicate and the way you know My thoughts. And He is the way I pour My love into your heart. And He gives you gifts that benefit all and produces fruit with your spirit.
This is a gift within you and on you that you must never forget. Never quench Him, never grieve Him. Know that you are His temple and glorify Me in your body.
And you can know what to do, where to go, and what to say by the Holy Spirit in you and on you.
But now you may be wondering how you can have this kind of life where you hear from Me so clearly that you do not follow a wrong lead. First, if you want to hear from Me, you must listen. Be still and know that I am God. Troubled hearts cannot hear. I give you My peace. Do not let your heart be troubled, do not let it be afraid. Come to Me with confidence that when you call on Me, I answer you and tell you great and mighty things you cannot know. But to listen you must know My voice. And the way you learn My voice is by hearing and reading My Word as it is written in the Bible. The more you read and meditate on My Word, the more you will know Me. “Bind them continually on your heart; tie them around your neck. When you walk about, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk to you.” Proverbs 6:21-22. The more familiar you become with My Word as written in the Bible, the more familiar you will become with Me.
And pray in tongues. It is then you open in the spirit to hear from Me. You speak mysteries and you are edified.
And all this is by faith, for you walk by faith in these areas and not by sight, that is, not just by the five physical senses. But when you come to Christ and are born again I give you a measure of faith. My faith. This is another benefit you must not forget but make use of and develop. You must feed and exercise the faith I have put in you. Faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word and you exercise your faith by declaring, speaking, and keeping My Word. The spirit of faith is that you believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. Just like you do when you take Jesus as your Lord. And as you have received Him, so walk in Him.
There is much more to share on this, but I want you all to know Me and know Me well. And you do that by receiving the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.
I love you. Forget not ALL My benefits. They are yours. And I am yours. By My Spirit. This is the greatest gift of all. It is the gift of Myself entrusted to you. And that is the greatest gift you can give Me too, the gift of yourself entrusted to Me. Are you ready to do that? When you join yourself with Me through Jesus you become one Spirit with Me.
