And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
There are certain things I tell you I want you to know. I want all to know Me from the least to the greatest. I want all to be saved and come to know the truth. I want you to know the hope of your calling, the riches of your inheritance, the power of My Spirit in you, the length, breadth, height, and depth of My love for you, and the things I have freely given you in Christ. And all these things are set out for you in My Word as written in the Bible and as taught to you by My Spirit. They are all taught to you by the anointing
And then there are certain things I tell you that you know, and if you do not know them it is time you did.
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16.
Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:3.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14.
But today I want to focus on something I tell you that you should know from praying in the Spirit.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.
The anointing is the guarantee, the pledge, of a good outcome.
I cause a good outcome no matter what the circumstances for those who love Me, to those who are called according to My purpose. And what is My purpose? Jesus told you.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. John 14:12.
What works did Jesus do? I anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and power to go about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil. I sent Him to destroy the works of the devil that had bound you in sickness, poverty, and eternal death and to bring you back to the original Blessing that I gave the first man and woman in Eden, later known as the Blessing of Abraham, which are the Covenant benefits.
The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8.
And as I sent Him so He sends you. And as I anointed Him so He in turn anoints you.
You have a high calling and an eternal purpose in that all those you set free from the snare of the devil and save for the Kingdom will be with you for eternity with Me. Fruit that endures. Your good deeds go with you.
Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15.
Jesus taught the truth of My Word to renew people’s minds so they would be transformed by the power of the good news of Salvation. I want to join Heaven and earth in the eternal Kingdom, and dwell among you and be your God and you be My people, My precious treasure. And this can only happen after Jesus returns and I make new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells and the curse is removed. And Jesus cannot return until all have had an opportunity to be saved, that is, the gospel has to preached to every nation on earth.
I do not want any to perish but for all to come to repentance. And now there are over eight billion people on the earth. And I know every one of them by name, planned each person from eternity to eternity, and have every hair on their heads counted, including you. I know each person’s thoughts of their heart and am constantly presenting opportunities to each person to know Me and come to Me.
But for those who have responded to My call and have turned to Me a heart of love, who have come to know and believe in the love I have for them, and desire to live their life in a manner pleasing to Me, that is, in keeping with My Word as the ultimate authority in their lives, for these, I make all things work together for good, no matter what it is or who caused it, whether it is work of the evil one through others against you or mistakes you have made, for those who love Me and are called according to My purpose.
There is a universal call to all to be saved, continue in My Word so as to know the truth that will set them free, and to witness to My Son and the salvation in Him unto eternal life. But each one has a different gift and assignment, but you are all to use your special gift in serving one another as good stewards of My manifold grace. 1 Peter 4:10. All of you must imitate Christ.
Do you KNOW that I work all things together for good in your life? Or do you fret and worry over what you or others have done that seems to be working against you? Let Me show you a path you can take to know.
But before I do, let Me first say this: I have told you many times and quite clearly in My written Word that I desire that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers by walking in the truth. I have told you that I delight in the prosperity of My servants. I have told you that My plans for you are for your shalom (goodness in every area of your life) and not evil, to give you a future and a hope in this life and forever. I have told you that I teach you to profit and the way you should go. I have told you that I love you and that you are precious in My eyes and that I honor you and rescue you. I have told you many times I am the LORD who heals you. That I look ahead and provide for you. That I answer you when you call on Me and tell you great and mighty things you could not know. That I have loved you with an everlasting love and called your name to be Mine. That I will never leave you or forsake you. That when you seek Me with your heart you will find Me right there with you. That I know what you need before you ask Me and that I have prepared a life of good deeds for you in advance that you should walk in it. That I have forgiven all your sins in Jesus and made you righteous with My own righteousness. That it has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom so that you should never fear. That no weapon formed against you will prosper and every tongue raised against you, you will prove false. That I command My angels to guard you and protect you. That I pour My love into your heart by My gift of the Holy Spirit. That I so loved you I gave you Jesus so you can live your life through Him. And that because I am for you, no one can be against you. And that because I have acquitted you, no one can condemn you. That there is no condemnation now for you who are in Christ Jesus and in Him I have given you eternal life.
Does that sound like I work things out for your good or not? Why are you so fearful of a dreaded outcome?
Now let Me tell you how you can know without a doubt that things will turn out well no matter what your circumstances look like IF you love Me (and if you love Me you keep (obey) My Word) and those who love Me are called to follow Me. And all are called for their universal and particular purpose, which is always to be doing the works Jesus did and greater, which are My works done in you by My Spirit as He told you He did, but not all answer the call because not all love Me. If you do not keep My Word, at least make it your firm purpose and desire to do so, no matter how much lip service you give Me, you do not love Me. If you are blatantly living contrary to My commands the answer is simple, you do not love Me, and you have opened your door to the devil. In disobeying Me you are obeying him and are in his domain. A curse without a cause cannot alight. Be careful how you live. Watch yourself. Watch your thoughts. Do not let the devil be the one monitoring your thoughts and actions. How do you know when he has control? When you are thinking thoughts of bitterness, hate, depression, doubt, despair, greed, jealousy, anger, strife, gossip, malice, fear, anxiety, guilt, shame, blame, gluttony, resentment, offense, and the like.
But for you who love Me, this is how you are sure of a good outcome. You turn within in prayer in the Spirit to find My perfect Will in the situation, which will always be for your good and not for evil, for your shalom peace.
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:26-28.
The word translated that “helps,” i.e., “The Spirit also helps our weakness,” is “sunantilambanomai (συναντιλαμβάνομαι),” which means “to take hold with at the side.” If you think of the helm of your life (the steering wheel) being your tongue, here I am telling you the Holy Spirit is alongside you to take hold of your tongue with you for you do not know how to pray as you should to understand My perfect Will for your life. So He prays in you and with you in spiritual language to express spiritual thoughts so that you can discern My perfect Will in each situation and direct your life in that manner. It is then you can know that I am causing all things to work together to accomplish that perfect Will in your life. The hundredfold harvest and the honey of the Word.
But now, I will tell you how this works for you today so you can have this promise in your life.
First, as we were discussing, look at the context in which it is written. The lines just before it tell you that the Spirit helps you in your weakness, because you do not know how to pray as you should, but that the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to My Will. Romans 8:26. So you see here I am talking about born again believers (saints) who have My Holy Spirit living in them.
The passage we are looking at comes right after speaking of prayer in the Spirit. It begins, “and we know,” you see from this that you must believe what is coming in your heart, that it must be settled with you. And what must you know? “That God causes,” so you must know that I arrange what is coming and that the Spirit has interceded for you to get what follows.
And what immediately follows is: “all things to work together for good,” so I cause all things, not just one or two, but I coordinate many things working together so that they work together for good, and by “all things,” I really mean all things, including but not limited to your body parts, weather, your car and other modes of transportation (even connecting flights and travel arrangements), people for tasks that need to be done to bring the plan for your life into being, people in your path you need and who need you, mechanical devices and their parts, the schedule of events in your life so that you are in the right place at the right time— everything you need for life and godliness, physical and spiritual. In other words, all things, including various parts, various objects, finances, personal property, relationships and people, that concern your life.
And then the passage goes on to tell you for whom I make all things work together for good. I know you must be interested in this because you want it to be for you and I want it to work for you also! Well, read on and you will find it states two conditions for being the one that receives this wonderful promise. First, you must be one who loves Me, and second, you must be called according to My purpose.
Let us consider both of these separately though they do go together.
As we discussed already, to determine whether you qualify as one who loves Me is very simple. There is only one test I give you in the Bible to determine whether this qualification is met or not. It is this: those who love Me are the ones who obey My Words, who keep My commands. John 14:21, 23– those who do not just cry out “Lord, Lord,” but who actually do My Will by keeping My Word. Not mere hearers only, but doers of My Word. James 1:22.
And you must also be one who is called according to My purpose. This just means that you are busy about your assignment. It is for those who are in My perfect Will, as you prayed in the Spirit, who are fulfilling Kingdom business, which is being about My business, and are furthering My purposes.
For example, as we already stated, it is My Will that all men be saved and come to know the truth. It is also My Will that all prosper and be in good health, even as their souls prosper. So if you are furthering these purposes, then you qualify. This is what I call “fishers of men.”
If you then go on and read further in this passage of Scripture, you will find that I tell you that if I am for you in this way, that is, making all things work together for your good, how can there be anything or anyone coming against you that would harm you? If I make all things work together for your good, I will even take the evil people plot against you and cause it to turn out to your good in the long run—just consider how I did this in the life of Joseph, the son of Jacob, after his brothers did the evil of having him sold in Egypt as a slave.
This makes you more than a conqueror through Me, who loves you. Because when all things work together for your good you are never defeated. That is being more than a conqueror.
I do not play favorites, you are all My favorites, and My perfect law of liberty, My Word, will work for you if you fulfill the conditions to get the promise. I will cause all things to work together for good to you if you meet the following:
- You are a Spirit-filled believer (a believer who has taken Jesus as Lord for whom My Spirit is interceding within your spirit);
- You are a doer of the Word (which shows you love Me)
- You are busy about your assignment in life (called according to My purpose).
Check your heart. Do you fit in all three of these categories? If yes, you can expect and believe that I will cause all things to work together for your good.
If you do not fit in all three categories, then it is time to make a few adjustments. See where you fall short and ask Me to show you how to qualify in all respects. But here is a quick summary of what to do for each category to qualify:
- Receive Jesus as your Lord and ask Me for the gift of the Holy Spirit. You do this by confessing Jesus as LORD with your mouth and believing in your heart that I raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him as LORD at My right hand. Romans 10:9-10.
- Make My Word top authority in your life and do nothing except what I tell you to do. For example, since I tell you to forgive those who hurt you, you forgive them. Walk in love and you will fulfill all My Commandments.
- Do not waste your time on activities and pursuits that are contrary to My Word and that just waste time and do no good for anyone. Be doing things that bless and increase you and others. Work to enlarge My territory (righteousness, peace and joy), and to see to the well-being, prosperity and health of My citizens. Be like the good and faithful servant who was busy seeing to the master’s business on the master’s return and was not abusing his fellow servants.
You can sum it all up in one Scripture that I first taught to My people through Moses when I brought them out of slavery in Egypt: “Diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight.” Exodus 15:26. And then I tell them that I am the LORD their Healer. Yes, I am still your Healer who makes everything work together for good for those who love Me, who are called according to My purpose.
And I suppose the shortest way to sum up this message you find in the same passage which we have been discussing: “be conformed to the image of My Son.” Romans 8:29.
He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. Even at twelve years old, He was only about My business.
I love you. Hear My Voice. And do not be a hearer only, but a doer of My Word. And remember, nothing can separate you from My love. Romans 8:39. And now I will tell you the purpose I have called you to, which will be tomorrow’s Life Lesson. I have one purpose for all and it is the reason and purpose for which I made all that I have made and it is who I am: Love. Love is My purpose and it should be yours too.
