“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Moses was a prophet and he prayed that you all would be. Amid a complaining and grumbling people who had seen My works but did not know My ways, Moses cried out, “Would that all the LORD’s people were prophets, that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!” Numbers 11:29.
I answered the desire that I put in Moses’ heart, for it is My desire too. It is My Will for each of you to be a prophet. And now it is possible. For I have poured down My Spirit upon all believers, just as I foretold through My prophet Joel, “It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29. It is time for you to prophesy.
And today we continue My instructions on how to know My Will for your life with Life Lesson No. 13: A Prophet to the Nations. It is time for you to speak My Word and prophesy over your nation, and not only your nation but the nations of the world. But it all begins with you learning what prophecy is and what it means for YOU to be a prophet today.
Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to Me; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation. One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church. Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying. 1 Corinthians 14:1-5.
Since I have told you that My Will is that you prophesy, you know that it is for your benefit and that of others, as well as for My benefit. Furthermore, I never ask you to do something if I have not set out plainly in My Word how to do it and given you the grace to do it. Be confident that I will complete the good work I began in you until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6.
I am looking for people to speak My Word into the earth so I can perform it. Isaiah, who was a prophet, heard Me saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And he responded, “Here am I. Send me!” So I told him where to go and what to tell the people. Isaiah 6:8-9. And that was how Isaiah began his great prophetic ministry which revealed Jesus to you beforehand among many other words for the nations that are still coming to pass, though many have been fulfilled just as he spoke over the nations. Nations he never saw and visited but that he spoke over.
And you find My definition of the work of the prophet, which is done by his or her words, when I called Jeremiah, and your call is the same today, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5. And what does it mean to be a “prophet to the nations”? “I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1:10. And how are you going to do this? It all starts with declaring My Word in prayer over the nations from right where you are. From your “watchtower” of prayer. For I have stretched out My hand and touched your mouth, and I have put My words in your mouth, so that everywhere I send you, you shall go, and all that I command you, you shall speak. And sometimes you go by prophetic prayer declarations or intercessions, and sometimes by phone or internet, and sometimes physically being transported there by natural or supernatural means. I flew Ezekiel and Philip places long before airplanes were built by man. And never fear speaking My Words for I am with you to deliver you. Jeremiah 1:5-10.
For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the LORD of hosts is My Name). I have put My Words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant Heaven, and establish the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” Isaiah 51:15-16. Through you speaking in union with Me. Two witnesses establish a fact in the earth. You plant the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth by the seed of My Word as you speak over the nations by faith.
For just as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:9-10.
For this is My covenant with you: My Spirit which is in you and upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth forever. Isaiah 59:21.
And though I am the Sovereign LORD, I do nothing without revealing My plan to My servants, the prophets. And when I have spoken, who can but prophesy? Amos 3:7-8. Jeremiah said My Words became like a fire in his heart that he could not contain but had to speak them out.
Why do I tell you that I do nothing without revealing My plan to My prophets? I have given man dominion over the earth and the rule over the works of My hands. Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 8:6; Psalm 115:16. And you can bind on earth what has been bound in heaven, and you can loose on earth that which has been loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18. So whatever is bound in Heaven, such as sickness and poverty, you can bind on earth by prophesying. And whatever is loosed in Heaven, such as health and provision, you can loose on earth by prophesying. And I am counting on you to do this in partnership with Me so I can perform My Will upon the earth. I want to send forth My Word to heal and deliver, Psalm 107:20, and to bring My Kingdom and My Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 6:9-10. But to do this I need a prophet. That is why I told Ezekiel, as I tell you now, “Go now to the people and speak My Words to them.” Ezekiel 3:4
And I told the prophet Ezekiel not only to prophesy to the people, but also to prophesy to mountains, to nations, to dry bones, and to cities. And the things he prophesied are still coming to pass up to this very day. Ezekiel 36-47. Once My Word goes out it does not return to Me void but accomplishes all that for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11.
For a moment let us go back to basics here. In the beginning when I first formed mankind, I blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Genesis 1:28. Do you see I told you to subdue the earth? Now consider the word “subdue.” In Hebrew it is the word “kavash,” which means to put under foot, to get into alignment that which has gotten out of alignment, to get back on course that which is out of course, to put down certain activity. So how do you subdue? In the book of Hebrews I tell you that believers of the preceding ages subdued kingdoms by faith, that is, “who by faith subdued kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.” Hebrews 11:33-34. How do you do this by faith? Faith speaks. “By faith you understand that the universe and the ages were prepared (katartizó: to fit out, equip, put in order, arrange, adjust, framed, bring into its proper condition (whether for the first time, or after a lapse)) by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:3. And you, in My image and according to My likeness, have the same spirit of faith, according to My Word that is written, you believe it in your heart and then speak it with your mouth to frame things, to arrange things, to put them into their proper condition. 2 Corinthians 4:13.
Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. Psalm 2:8. And to the one who overcomes and continues in My work until the end, I will give authority over the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter and shatter them like pottery. Revelation 2:26. Declare, prophesy over the nation, your nation, get it back in alignment with My Word. It is a dangerous thing to go out from under My wings. It caused Jesus to weep over the city of Jerusalem when they refused to stay under My jurisdiction and went out from where I could protect them.
Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. He loves you and released you from your sins by His blood— and He has made you to be a kingdom, priests unto Me. Revelation 1:5-6. But today many are too occupied with other things of the world to step aside and let Me speak to them as My royal priesthood. And the world will pit you against Me by passing laws and establishing norms contrary to My Words. So to whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? For even the ears of many believers are closed so they cannot hear. And My Word is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it. Jeremiah 6:10.
But you, will you step up and be My prophet to the nations? To your nation? To your city? To your family? To yourself? Prophesying, simply stated, is you speaking My Words (as you find them written in the Bible or as told in your spirit by My Spirit, but whatever He tells you will agree with the written Word) with faith to and over yourself, others, mountains, storms, bones, hearts, bodies, body parts, and anything else in My creation that needs edification (to be built up, strengthened, restored, and renewed), exhortation (moved to new and higher levels of being, stopped from sinful or uncontrolled activity), and consolation (comfort, peace and joy in the midst of trials).
I told My apostle Paul to prophesy both to the Church and to unbelievers. 1 Corinthians 14:23-25. And I want you to prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:5; Numbers 11:29. And the spirits of the prophets are under the prophets’ control. 1 Corinthians 14:32. What does that mean? It means that it is up to you whether you are going to prophesy or not. You can give My Word utterance or not. You control what comes out of your mouth. But remember this before you speak when you are facing a problem, you can take true authority and move things only by My Word spoken from your mouth. Stand up to be the prophet in a storm, trial, or test. Just like Jesus was in the boat on the stormy sea. You are to do the works He did and greater in His Name and by My Spirit.
I made everything by My Word and I set up all creation so that it can be moved around and changed. Everything you see is made up of moving particles that form atoms and molecules, you are looking at elements and/or compounds, and whether solid, liquid or gas, the atoms and molecules in them are moving, the only difference is in how tightly packed they are together and whether they are required to be joined in a certain formation or randomly spaced. My Word of power upholds them and keeps them joined together or moves them apart. And My power is in you by My Spirit dwelling in your spirit—to heal, to restore, to rearrange and to make new. I make new from the old by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, but I made all that needs to be there for sustaining life and godliness in the six days of creation. All creation was made by My Word, is sustained by My Word and responds to My Word. I entered My rest but from there I am working even unto now. How? The same way I made it all, by My Word. For My Word is living and actively working and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from My sight, but all things are open and laid bare to Me with whom you have to render an account. Hebrews 4:12-13. And you will be held accountable for every idle word you speak. Why? My Will is for you to prophesy and change things for good, get everything aligned with My Word.
I love you. Prophesy! It is My Will for your life. Speak shalom, speak prosperity, speak increase, speak blessing, speak healing, speak revival, speak awakening, speak restoration, speak the good news of Jesus, speak salvation, speak provision, speak righteousness, speak hope, speak My Words when you rise, when you walk about, when you sit, when you stand, and when you go to bed at night. And watch things change.
