Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people. Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Jesus the Healer. He opened the scroll in Nazareth and revealed His mission, to preach the good news, to heal, to release, to set free, and to announce a year of Jubilee! Luke 4:17-20; Isaiah 61:1-2. He came to undo the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8. And what was it prophesied that the Messiah would do? Jesus answered that question already when John the Baptist needed reassurance that Jesus was the Messiah, “Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have the gospel preached to them.” Luke 7:22; Isaiah 35:4-10.
And today as we continue to delve into the unfathomable riches I have put in Jesus the Messiah, My Son, as we study “Jesus, the Healer.”
The man born blind, when questioned by the Pharisees about Jesus who had healed him on the Shabbat, said, “Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.” John 9:32-33. And he was right. The Messiah was in their midst. The Healer.
And who is Jesus? My innermost expression of who I AM, the exact representation of My nature and the radiance of My glory. He is My Word, birthed from deep within Me by My Spirit. And I tell you that I send My Word to HEAL you and deliver you from all your destructions. Psalm 107:20. My Word is life to those who find it and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22.
Jesus came saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15. And He went about teaching, preaching, and healing. Matthew 4:23. These things are important to Me, for in seeing Him, you see Me. And I have told you to do the same—go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, telling the good news of Jesus, casting out demons, and laying your hands on the sick so that they recover. Mark 16:17-18.
And what did Jesus tell the twelve disciples to do? “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8. When He summoned His twelve disciples, Jesus gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Matthew 10:1. For this is what He did for you know of Jesus, how I anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for I was with Him. Acts 10:38.
Where I AM, where My Spirit is, where Jesus is, My power is present to heal. Luke 5:17. My power is flowing but, as you know, even though the power was present, not everyone present was healed when Jesus was among you as one like you. And it distressed Him in the town of Nazareth where He had grown up, that He could work no mighty miracles there because of their lack of faith, in fact, they took offense at Him since they had known Him growing up. Today My Holy Spirit is present and healing is there for you, but like electrical power you cannot receive it without a connector and conductor to the power. And that connector and conductor is faith, faith in your Healer, faith in My love for you as shown in Jesus. For Jesus bore your infirmities Himself, took your sickness, took your sorrows, took your pains, took your sins, took your guilt, and took your shame. And that is the real healer. Yes, He is truly your healer because He is your healing.
There was no sickness, pain, or death in the world until Adam sinned and it was then that sickness came to men. It was a result of submission to the evil one and turning away from Me, this brought the curse into the earth with the usurpation of man’s dominion authority to the devil. But Jesus came to redeem you from the curse and to undo the works of the devil, who is a murderer and liar from the beginning.
Because of Adam’s sin, mankind owed a huge debt to Me, that is, to divine justice for the treason committed, with no way to pay it. So I sent Jesus to take your sins upon Himself—to lift them from you and carry them in Himself as if He had been the guilty one, and He received the punishment due them, going down to the dust of death and tasting death for all men so that you might be freed from sin and born again alive to Me. And once the sin problem was removed for those who believe in Him, healing could flow.
But He made sure to an even greater degree to provide for your healing. He took and carried in His body not only your sins but also all your sicknesses, sorrows, pains, and griefs. He took them. He Himself took your infirmities and carried away your diseases. Matthew 8:17. They are no longer yours. He took them. Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus is your Healer, He not only healed by My power to heal, He healed by taking away all that would harm you—all your illnesses and pains so you could walk always in divine health.
Because the time of Adam’s leasehold that he handed over to the devil is not quite expired yet, the devil is still on earth trying to steal, kill and destroy your life, your family, your ministry, your job, and all you hold dear. But he is subject to the Name, life, and work of Jesus and he must flee with all his nasty illnesses, pains, and other symptoms if you submit your life to the Lordship of Jesus and resist him by forbidding him to give you things that Jesus already took for you. They are no longer yours, so refuse to take those unclean things. Do not so much as entertain them for a moment. Take your stand and keep standing till you have the victory. This honors Me and I honor and favor those who honor Me.
He took your sins and sicknesses and pains off you. Please understand that they are no longer yours, you who belong to Jesus, they do not belong to you and you have no business receiving them and not receiving the healing He won for you.
And the power to heal is present wherever He is, wherever My Spirit is, and He is in you now, so the power is present in you to heal. He is healing, He is the healer. My Son who loved you and gave Himself for you and redeemed you from the curse. And it all began by Him taking away your sins. Sin brought sickness into the earth, so at the same time Jesus took care of the sin problem, He took care of the sickness problem. He took it so you must not receive it. The victory that overcomes the world is your faith, faith for your need at hand and if you need healing, it is faith in Jesus your healer. In Him is everything that you need. Everything is summed up in Him. He is the anointed One.
And in seeing Him you see Me and I AM the LORD your healer. Exodus 15:26. That is one of My covenant Names and covenant promises signed in My Name for you who are in Covenant with Me. And if you are in Jesus, you are in Covenant with Me.
With long life I will satisfy you and show you My salvation, that is, My Yeshuah. Jesus. Just as the Israelites looked at the bronze serpent on the pole to be healed of the poisonous bites of the snakes who engulfed the camp so too if you look upon Jesus you will be healed of all the poisonous bites of the evil one, that ancient serpent who is the devil.
Jesus had great compassion for the sick and for the dying. He wept over Lazarus and over the city of Jerusalem. It grieved Him when the religious leaders tried to block Him from healing people because it was Shabbat, and yet that was the day the people gathered to hear My Word. His heart was to lift your burdens and bear them for you. His desire was to serve you and give His life as the ransom for you. He willingly laid down His earthly life so that you could have and enjoy life now and forever. There was no person too lowly and no person too great that He did not seek them out to save them, from little children to those advanced in age, men, women, and children, He spent nights in prayer for you and poured Himself out for you. Anyone who came to hear Him with faith, He healed. There was no one who came to Him for healing that left disappointed. Not one. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever and so am I, and in seeing Him, you are seeing Me.
I love you. My heart is towards you and all I have is yours. You are with Me always. Jesus is your Healer and your healing. Never receive again what is not yours from the devil. Jesus paid a tremendous price for your healing. Honor that by receiving it with joyful praise and thanksgiving.
