Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for shalom and not for evil to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.
I will hear what God the LORD will say; for He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones. Psalm 85:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Jesus shared His joy with you but He gave you His peace. He bequeathed His shalom to you. John 14:27. And when He gave it to you He used the Word “Shalom.” And that is the same Word by which I describe My plans for your life. Jeremiah 29:11. Shalom. Perfect wholeness in every area of your life—IN CHRIST you are complete. Colossians 2:10.
As we continue our life lessons on how to live life IN CHRIST, today our life lesson is: “A Life of Shalom Peace.”
Surely your sickness and diseases He Himself bore, and your pains He carried. He was pierced through for your transgressions, I crushed Him for your iniquities; the chastening for your SHALOM (peace, wholeness) fell upon Him, and by His scourging you are healed. All of you like sheep have gone astray, each of you has turned to your own way; but I have caused the iniquity of you all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:4-6. It was by the sacrifice of Himself as the propitiation for your sins as He bore them and carried them away for all of you, along with all your illnesses and pains as well, that gives you shalom peace with Me. For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 10:14.
My Son gave you Shalom, His Shalom, which surpasses worldly understanding and He desires that you all enter into His rest. “Shalom,” was His first word to His fearful disciples hiding in the upper room behind locked doors the day I raised Him from the dead. They had lost their peace by walking in the flesh and Jesus was pulling them back into walking in the Spirit where there is precious peace.
How did Jesus give you His peace? I tell you: He made peace through the blood of His cross. For it was My good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Myself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Your peace, your shalom wholeness, comes from being made complete in Christ, by being made holy and blameless, beyond reproach before Me. And therein lies peace, the peace that surpasses understanding, the peace of being in right standing with Me, knowing there is nothing that separates us from complete open fellowship, knowing that I approve you.
My Son bore your sicknesses and pain in His Body so you could be whole, saved, blessed and confident of the victory should you fall into diverse temptations and tests. He made you whole—healed, righteous, and all sin gone. And established in righteousness you are far from oppression. You have an absence of conflict and fear in your inner man of the heart.
In Jesus righteousness and peace kiss—are fastened together for you in Jesus. Psalm 85:10.
Fear of pain, punishment, discovery of evil in you, oppression, failing, lack, death—Jesus takes all these fears away from you by His work on your behalf upon the Cross and gives you His peace. Since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15.
When you know you are forgiven, cared for, healed, blessed and made righteous you have peace hat passes understanding. The greater One is yours and you are IN HIM and He is in you. And just as I am well pleased in Jesus so am I in you. I find no fault in you who are IN CHRIST because I put all your faults on Him and gave you His purity.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, you have peace with Me through your Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also you have obtained your introduction by faith into this grace in which you stand; and you exult in hope of My glory (My goodness) for Christ is in you, your hope of glory! Romans 5:1.
For if by the transgression of the one, Adam, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17. My Kingdom is a kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Reign in life, if you are right with Me, there is none higher, then who can be against you and take you down? Stay in peace. Stay in My rest and come share. Go always into peace, you will go out with joy but you will be led forth in peace.
Jesus is your peace. He is the greatest gift of all. And He is yours and you can live your life in Him. A life of perfect peace. Does this mean you will never have any trials and tests? No, the prince of this world continues to harass everyone who will permit him to do so and not resist him. Jesus told you that He gave you His peace but to receive it and enforce He told you what to do. “Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27. You may feel like you are facing mountains in your life but how beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news! Who announces peace (shalom) and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation. Isaiah 52:7.
IN CHRIST I offer you a beautiful life of peace, rule in the midst of your enemies. A long life filled with good days in the rest of My peace, the Shabbat. I tell you that the Israelites in the desert that refused to go in the land I had promised them never entered My rest (My peace) because of their disobedience. Great peace have those who love My law. If you are willing and obey My Words you shall have the good of the land but if you refuse and rebel the sword of your own words will consume you. There is no peace for the wicked. Sin brings fear, turmoil, and shame. Sin never gives peace. Walking in righteousness in Christ Jesus does.
The one who desires life, to love and see good days, MUST keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. This has to do with not letting your heart be troubled or afraid. You take a thought by saying it. You must turn away from evil and do good; for peace is not automatic in this world as the world is now, you must seek peace and pursue it to have it and keep it. 1 Peter 3:10-12. Pursue peace. This again has to do with not letting your heart be troubled or afraid no matter what is happening in your circumstances. I speak peace. Jesus spoke peace. And He spoke it to those far and those near. And you must speak peace as well. And the wonderful thing is the more you acknowledge it and appreciate it, the more peace will settle in your heart.
An agitated, troubled heart cannot rejoice, pray at a higher level, or give thanks. And you know that already from your own life but you also see it in the lives of the Israelites out of the slavery of Egypt that never entered the land I promised them. If you look at their behavior it was primarily agitation, worry, fear, wailing, bemoaning, and complaining. When they were donating to and working on the tabernacle and its furnishings though the people were relatively free from complaining, were engaged in the work and enjoyed using their talents to create a beautiful dwelling for Me among them. And they enjoyed the order by which they set up and broke down camp. One way to help yourself stay in peace is to get your mind off your fears and other’s offenses against you and engage in whatever assignment I give you to do. With good will render service, as to Me, and not to men, knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from Me. Ephesians 6:7. Be busy bringing good news to others and enjoying them and you will have peace.
But above all peace comes from knowing My ways. The Israelites saw My works but they never learned My ways. My ways are love and truth. My paths are those of righteousness and peace. And in My presence is fullness of joy. I made all that is made in six days and stepped into Shabbat and I never left it and I have invited all of you to abide in Me in that wonderful peace. I am at work till now but it is from the rest of perfect peace. You accomplish much more when you are at peace than when you are agitated.
So how do live a life of shalom peace in Christ? Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to Me. And My peace, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds IN CHRIST JESUS.
Finally, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in Me, practice these things, and I, the God of peace, will be with you. Yahweh Shalom. The LORD is peace is one of My covenant promise Names. And all My magnificent promises are “Yes” to you IN CHRIST JESUS your Lord.
When you are in Christ you are in perfect peace for He is your peace. Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at My right hand.
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in Me. When Christ, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4.
Shalom, shalom have those who keep their minds set on Me, because they trust in Me. Trust in Me forever for I AM your everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to Me. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to Me, your Father who loves you beyond all you can ask or imagine. Colossians 3:15-17.
I love you. If you focus on Me and all I have done for you in Christ Jesus and know that you have all My beautiful promises of healing, provision, deliverance, redemption, protection, and salvation available to you, you will have peace. And being grateful for those even before you see them manifesting will give you peace. Thanksgiving and peace go together. I make you joyful in My house of prayer. So pray about everything. Cast your cares on Me because I care for you. Let Me be your peace.
