In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10.
About the three o’clock in the afternoon, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God who had just come in and said to him, “Cornelius!” And fixing his gaze on him and being much alarmed, he said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and alms have ascended as a memorial before God. Now dispatch some men to Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter; he is staying with a tanner named Simon, whose house is by the sea. Acts 10:3-6.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
There is a whole aspect of creation that you do not see and easily overlook. You look at the temporal, but I see the temporal and the eternal, that is the physical and the spiritual. Your main focus should not be on the things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18.
And in the unseen, there are the angels, though I give some a glimpse into this realm at times. These wondrous and beautiful spirits were created by My breath and live forever. And they were made to serve, and specifically to serve you, the heirs of salvation. Hebrews 1:14.
But what you may not realize is that they help you in saving souls for My Kingdom. And that is today’s life lesson in being an effective witness for Me in the world, “The Help of the Holy Angels.”
My angels are very interested in this because it gives Me and them joy every time another person becomes a citizen of Heaven. Their love and loyalty to Me is so intense that whatever is My heart’s desire they are eager to perform. My Son told you that “I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10.
The angels are excited about salvation being offered to men so that you too will enjoy Heaven with them. They were present when I created man and they said in awe and wonder, “What is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty!” Psalm 8:4-5. They witnessed the rebellion and evil committed by the devil, who was of the office of the cherubim, and the fall of My beloved man. They participated in the freeing of My people from the slavery of Egypt and went ahead of them and with them to conquer the land I had promised them. They did as I directed them. They brought My people messages, like Daniel and Zechariah and Mary and Joseph, they fought for My people, like Joshua, David, and Hezekiah, transported them, like Ezekiel and Elijah and Philip, and delivered people, like Daniel in the lions’ den and Peter in prison. And they opened the glory and praised Me the night Jesus was born in Bethlehem, heralding the good news with so much excitement of what I would open the Kingdom to men, the angel announced to the astonished shepherds in the fields of Bethlehem, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising Me and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth good will towards men.” Luke 2:10-14.
They are very aware of all that goes on in the heavens and on the earth. They help you in the work of witnessing by sending people to you and by sending you to people that I have pointed out to them are ready for salvation. I have commanded them to also protect you from harm and evil when you are out witnessing. They watch so that no weapon formed against you can prosper. And at My direction, in response to prayers made to Me by believers, I have sent them to open prison gates to free My witnesses to go bring the message of the gospel to others. I detail this to you twice in the days of the first community of believers, when the High Priest, and his associates, laid hands on the apostles and put them in the public jail. During the night one of My angels opened the gates of the prison, and took them out and he instructed them, “Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life.” Upon hearing this, they entered into the temple about daybreak and began to teach. Acts 5:19-21.
And I did the same for Peter when Herod put him in prison and planned to kill him. The church prayed on his behalf and I sent My angel to let him out so he could continue to preach the good news. Acts 6:1-11. Which he did so effectively.
And how do you think the earth quaked and all the gates flew open and the chains of the prisoners were unfastened the night Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to Me chained to the floor in the jail at Philippi? The angels of course. Acts 16:26. You know how this happened? Let Me give you a glimpse into the Kingdom of Heaven at the golden altar of incense before Me, “An angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar and threw it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.” Revelation 8:3-5.
I also send angels to those who are in need of hearing the gospel but need to be directed to the right person that will not only lead them in the prayer of salvation but also tell them the truth about Me and My Son. Do you recall the man at Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian cohort? He was a devout man who revered Me with all his household and gave many alms to the Jewish people. He prayed to Me continually but he did not know the good news about Jesus. One day when he was praying before Me at three o’clock in the afternoon, I sent My angel to him and opened his eyes to see. My angel had a message for him from Me and said to him, “Cornelius!” And fixing his gaze on him and being much alarmed, he said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and alms have ascended as a memorial before God. Now dispatch some men to Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter; he is staying with a tanner named Simon, whose house is by the sea.” When the angel who was speaking to him had left, he summoned two of his servants and a devout soldier of those who were his personal attendants, and after he had explained everything to them, he sent them to Joppa to get Peter. Acts 10:1-8. I told Peter to go with them and he did. And the result? Cornelius and his whole household got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. And Cornelius then became My witness as well.
Angels will also direct you to witness to certain people I point out. When Philip was preaching the good news of Jesus in Samaria and having great success, I sent my angel to get Philip quickly for I needed someone to go immediately to save an Ethiopian official that was leaving Jerusalem and would soon be out of the territory of Israel. So my angel spoke to Philip saying, “Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So my angel flew him down there and there was an Ethiopian officer, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he had come to Jerusalem to worship, and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah. Acts 8:26-28. Philip had to catch up with the chariot, get on board with the Ethiopian, and lead him to know Jesus based on the Scripture he was reading, and be saved. The Ethiopian was so convinced that he asked Philip to baptize him right then in some water that was by the side of the road. This was a miracle as it was the desert route and no water was usually along that road at that time of year. After being baptized, the Ethiopian went on his way with joy and became My witness in Ethiopia. Philip was immediately caught away for other places to witness. Once I have found an effective witness, I rely upon that person to save souls that otherwise no one would take the time or effort to save.
You should make use of these wonderful messengers every time you set out. You can direct them to bring you the right people whose hearts are open to the message of good news you are bringing. You can also have them direct you to the routes and places where you will find the lost who are looking for the Way. And sometimes, when you feel that I have directed you to a particular person and instead you talk yourself out of speaking to them and walk on, you can cast that care on Me and direct your angel to bring that person again across your path at just the right time and the right place for them to receive Jesus as Lord. When you miss it, do not berate yourself and feel you have lost My favor. Just walk it out with Me as your helper. I send you the holy angels to help you in all your ways.
Angels are another one of My many precious gifts to you, My children, for it has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom and there are myriads of them in My Kingdom. I am the LORD of hosts. Cherish so great a salvation.
I love you. And that is why I give you Jesus. That is why I give you the Holy Spirit. And that is why I give you the holy angels, and particularly your very own guardian angel to guard you in all your ways. But the angels will only harken to the voice of My Words, so when you direct them make sure it is in keeping with My Words or they will not respond.
