Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12.

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17.

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I am consistent in both the Old and New Testaments, that is, two witnesses, how to live a life of heaven on earth and how to gain your reward in full. And that means, primarily, doing My Will. For if you are walking in the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance in Christ Jesus you will live a fruitful life of permanent value both on earth and in Heaven. I will establish the works of your hands, that is, they will be lasting value to the generations that follow you on earth. You will live a life that builds up My Kingdom and plants the ways and flow of Heaven on earth and not a life that destroys what others have built. The wise woman builds a house but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.

“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.” John 15:16. And that sounds like Heaven on earth.

Today’s Life Lesson in these instructions on living days of Heaven upon the earth is “Finding God’s Will to live the Life that is Life Indeed.” And if you do not know My Word well, you may be surprised at the answer for even though I make it clear few actually do it with any consistency. But I am going to tell you how to gain a heart of wisdom. Solomon asked for wisdom but he understood how to get it, he asked Me for a “hearing heart.” A heart that discerns My direction.

“I do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.” Ephesians 1:16-19.

Today let us consider a psalm of Moses and the teachings of My apostle Paul, and you will see My Spirit was revealing the same to both.

Moses wrote the psalm numbered 90 after the people had refused to enter the land I had promised them and went back to wander in the desert, and, with respect to the generation that had refused to walk in My delightful Will for their lives, to die after forty years so that the next generation could take what they had lost. I took care of them, feeding them manna and keeping them in health so that their feet never even got swollen or their clothes wear out, but they never changed their heart but kept complaining, finding fault, and being disrespectful to Me and the leadership I had put in place. They never repented but blamed Moses and Me for their lack of living My promises.

In Psalm 90, Moses, as inspired by My Spirit, prays for the people in the evil they had brought on themselves and continued to walk in with each other, “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12. And he closes the psalm asking Me to return to them with My grace, My love beyond love (hesed), and shine My favor upon them to give them a happy, fruitful life now and to give permanence to the works of their hands, to establish their works as fruitful and significant to coming generations. Psalm 90:13-17. But the secret of how to get there lies between those verses.

In his letter to the believers in Ephesus, Paul, as inspired by My Spirit, writes, “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:15-17. He also is speaking of evil days in which believers should not be partaking, but instead be living fruitful lives in the light. How? By understanding My Will. And the secret of how to do that follows.

And in his letter to the believers in Colossae, Paul, as inspired by My Spirit, writes, “For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10. And in this same letter, he later reveals how to do this.

Both Moses and Paul, as inspired by My Spirit, are asking that all be mindful of My precious gift of the time you have on earth, that it is not unlimited, that you would have the wisdom to make the most beneficial use of your days on this earth for two reasons: first, that you experience the joys of My favor on earth, which means living days of Heaven on earth, and second, that you do fruitful works of permanence that will result in you receiving your full reward when you are called to the judgment seat of Christ (for believers).

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10. “Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.” 2 John 1:8. “According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:10-15.

So you see your life on earth also determines your position of life in Heaven. This is a very serious lesson that you should be diligent to follow if you want the best life now and the fullness of the rewards I have prepared for you in Heaven. It is very important how you live even though you are under grace and all is forgiven of sin. But once you are saved, walk worthy of the calling you have received by being careful how you live and making the most of your time by the wisdom that comes from understanding My Will for your life.

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.” Titus 2:11-14.

Psalm 90 starts with praise of My goodness and care for them. “Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” Psalm 90:1-2. Moses knew Me. I called him my friend. I gave him the revelation of the book you know as “Genesis” to write. He knew about creation. And My Son told you that Moses wrote about Him. You will notice in this psalm, speaking from the perspective of seeking forgiveness and a new beginning to those who have done evil in My sight, he addresses “Lord,” not “LORD.” He is talking with Adonai, who is God and man, My Son. And it is in this Psalm that Moses presents the concept that a thousand years are as a day in My sight that My apostle Peter later applies to when Jesus will return at the end of the age. 2 Peter 3:8.

Paul’s teachings are full of praise and thanksgiving for My goodness and care, telling you to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give constant thanks. But in application here how do you channel that to know My specific plan of good deeds for your life that you may live days of Heaven on earth and receive your full reward? And not just the psalm of Moses, but the bulk of the psalms tell you the same way to come close to Me to enter My kingdom and receive the help and answers you need.

Moses sang in his psalm, “O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, THAT WE MAY SING FOR JOY AND BE GLAD ALL OUR DAYS.” Psalm 90:14. Glad ALL you days sounds of the flow of Heaven unto the earth. And how did it come? Singing for joy. And concludes with the request, “Let the favor (delightfulness) of the Lord (Adonai) our God be upon us; and give permanence (make firm) for us the work of our hands. Yes, give permanence (make firm) for us the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17.

Now turn to My apostle Paul, “So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” And he goes on to tell you how to know My Will: “do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” Ephesians 5:17-20. Do not pass this off. Stop and consider.

And consider the letter to the Colossians, “Let the peace of Christ act as an umpire in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing yourselves with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with grace singing in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:15-17.

This advice you also find in the psalms in abundance, longing to dwell in My house to gaze on My beauty and inquire of Me My Will, David sang “And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.” Psalm 27:6. And what inspires you to sing when you want to know My Will? “Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name.” Psalm 33:20-21. Joyful trust that I will help you to know what you need to know to come out victorious. “O sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.” Psalm 98:1.

Solomon asked for wisdom, for a hearing heart, and you will please note that “he spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005.” 1 Kings 4:32. And he was the richest and wisest man on earth. 1 Kings 3:12-15. He understood about singing. Do you? When you have drawn close to Me for a time, you will begin to sing spirit songs. For those who love My Word and walk with Me, you know this is true. I give you songs.

“But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night, who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?’” Job 35:10-11. There you see again, songs and wisdom.

And I do the same. I sing your answer to you: “Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. You are my secret place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.’” Psalm 32:6-8. Songs of deliverance. Delivered from darkness into My own marvelous light to live days of Heaven upon the earth.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10.

“The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17. I am singing over you, and it will quiet all your fears.

There is a reason that right in the middle of your Bible you will find the Song of Songs and that is My love song to you. And My Spirit sings as well. Song of Songs 2:12. Where do you think singing in the spirit comes from? And of course, Jesus sings. Matthew 26:30, Psalm 105:43. We are all one.

When you don’t know what to do, sing praise, it will put you right into My heavenly throne room to hear your answer before you have even finished your song. Why? Because I told you to keep up the melody in your heart ALL the time. Do you even spend ten minutes a day singing songs of thanksgiving and praise to Me? Think about that next time you say you have trouble knowing My Will for your life.

In Heaven there is constant song. Revelation 5, Revelation 7. If you want to get in the flow of Heaven on earth you might as well join and sing along.

The past is over, finished and gone, it’s time to step up and sing a new song, I am your God, I’m calling to you, come live in the light of My love. Time is soon over, why waste your years? Come and sing with Me and I’ll dry your tears, I am your God, I’m calling to you, come live in the light of My love. Come, come and walk with Me, be-loved within My light. Come, come and soar with Me on the wings of the wind we’ll take flight! I am with you the day and the night.

I love you. This life is very short, eternity is very long, why don’t you spend your day with Me singing a happy song? And the wonderful thing is then I will reveal My Will to you in the secret place of our songs. Keep it going all day and all night. It will become your dwelling place for all generations. Pass it on to your children.

My beloved spoke, and said to me:
“Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away.
11 For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
12 The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the dove
Is heard in our land.
13 The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
And the vines with the tender grapes
Give a good smell.
Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away!
14 “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock,
In the secret places of the cliff,
Let me see your face,
Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet,
And your face is lovely.”
Song of Songs 2:10-14.
