As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. Matthew 9:27-30.

Today you LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I give each born again believer a measure of faith, My own faith.

“For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” Romans 12:3-5.

That is part of being in My image and according to My likeness. I do things by faith, that is, I call those things into being that are not and they manifest. I call things into being by My Word.

“God, who gives life to the dead and calls the things which do not exist as existing.” Romans 4:17.

I framed the world and the universe by My Word. My Words spoken become what I speak. The power is in My Word itself, that is why I liken them to imperishable, incorruptible seed. Anytime they are planted in a heart and spoken with the mouth they grow and are living and working, no matter how long ago they were first uttered by Me and breathed into the Bible by inspiration for all the generations to grow and profit from what they contain.

And you are in My image and according to My likeness. And the spirit of faith is simply to believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. And that is what I do. My Word generates from My innermost depths as it is birthed from within Me and My Holy Spirit breathes it into being.

“Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth.” Psalm 104:30.

It all has to do with your words and My Words and whether you will agree with Me for the miracles you want to be.

And singing My Words takes you to a whole new level of agreement with Me.

“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about any matter that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in Heaven.” Matthew 18:19. Why? You will note in the next sentence this promise is for those who gather together in His Name to agree, for then Jesus is in your midst agreeing with you. “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:20. And in His miracles you see this often when He inquires into the person’s faith level who is bringing the request. He is trying to get them to agree with Him and His teaching on healing.

The word “agree” used in the words translated “if two of you agree on earth” in the Greek language in which it was first written is the word symphōnéō. It is from sýn, “together with” and phōnḗ, “sound, voice,” which is the root of the English word, “symphony.” Here it is taken as meaning voicing the same opinion because like-minded but symphōnéō was originally, a harmony of voices, a song together, making music together agreeing in perfect beautiful harmony. Does the Spirit remind you of another Scripture here? Matthew 18:19 is like Ephesians 5:15-20, “speaking with one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord.”

Agree with fellow believers making a symphony together bringing all parts and needs into harmony before Me! Singing in tongues and receiving interpretation. Singing and praying in the spirit and also with the understanding.

I brought the Israelites out of the slavery of Egypt by My outstretched hand and miracles, signs, and wonders like had never been seen before and never have been seen again. And how do I tell you I led them? “And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout and singing.” Psalm 105:43. And there was not a feeble one among them. Psalm 105:37. I surround you with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7. This should give you understanding of the best way in which to find the way of deliverance. In your captivity, in your pain, in the attacks of the devil, sing praise and I will open the way for your deliverance. You should know this is true by looking at Paul and Silas in the jail in Philippi, chained to the cell floor they prayed and sang songs of praise to Me, and I shook the prison and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened. Acts 16:25-26. And the same is true in the Old Covenant, Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah were delivered from three attacking enemy armies by singing praises to Me in holy attire, as they went out before the army singing, “Give thanks to the LORD, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.” And when they began singing and praising, I set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were routed. 2 Chronicles 20:21-22.

Today we continue our Life Lessons on bringing the benefits of the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. We have been looking at the miracles worked by Jesus among you for these brought the Kingdom near to you and showed you how to live days of Heaven on earth. And you are to be doing the works He did and greater works yet. And the next miracle reported in the gospel according to Matthew occurs immediately after the raising of Jairus’ daughter from the dead. It is the healing of two blind men, who came to Jesus calling for mercy and left filled with praise and a most astounding testimony for their eyes were opened and they received their sight.

No one had ever given sight to the blind before. This was the sign of the Messiah, and now of His followers both physically and spiritually. Paul revealed the mission that My Son gave Him to King Agrippa, that he was sent to preach to the gospel of grace to Jews and gentiles in order “to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:18.

This miracle took place in Capernaum as had the prior three in Matthew’s gospel account. Jesus had left Jairus’ home and was on his way to his house. Two blind men heard He was there and immediately began following Him crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

Here they are following Jesus asking for mercy. This is like going to the throne of grace and receiving mercy and finding grace just when you need it. With Jesus among them it was like the Ark of the Covenant which signified My presence among the people coming out from behind the veil in the temple to walk with them in the streets and allow them to touch the very Holy of holies and to hear My voice through Him. He only spoke My Words and did the works I showed Him.

When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. Matthew 9:27-30.

They followed Him up the road and right into His house. And when the paralytic on the mat was healed it was also when He was at home. From this you see that Jesus opened His home to those seeking Him and taught there. In fact, right after the two blind men are healed, a group comes in bring a mute, demon possessed man that Jesus heals.

In the case of the two blind men, Jesus did not pray healing or command their eyes to see, He responded to them very differently than He later did to the blind man named Bartimaeus, in fact, when he was healed, Jesus told him it was his faith that made him well. Mark 10:52.

But here He asked if they had faith to receive it. They answered that they did. It would seem obvious that their following Him and calling Him “Son of David,” which would have meant He was the promised Messiah who was to heal blind eyes, would have shown they did believe He could cure them. But this is not necessarily so, many people come to Me and pray and call out for mercy but they have no confidence that what they ask will be done. They say it all depends on Me. Have you not heard people pray for someone and then add, “well, it’s all up to God, He may answer and He many not, His ways are mysterious.”

But My power is there to heal, I have done My part in putting all your illnesses and pains on Jesus and He bore them in His own body so you could be free, healed, and whole. Whether you receive healing or not is not all up to Me alone, it depends on you too. Why? Consider His answer: “It shall be done to you according to YOUR faith.” Not according to My power to heal, that is a given, the variable is our faith.

If you don’t receive your healing, it is not because I don’t will it, it just means that it is time to work on developing your faith. And you can do that. Faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word, speaking it and pondering it, reading it and keeping it before your eyes.

Jesus is the High Priest of your confession, that is, in the original Greek, your homologia, which means speaking the same thing in perfect agreement. He was asking the two blind men to connect their faith with the power to heal that was residing in Him by My Spirit. He did not immediately start praying over them to be healed, and this is what many of you would just naturally do. If someone comes to you asking for healing you pray healing scriptures over them and pray healing prayers, but Jesus did not do that here.

I make a way, but you must connect with it and walk in it by faith. It shall be done to you according to your faith. It would be wise for you to feed and exercise your faith so you can receive all I have for you.

These men did not come with the same level of faith that Jairus and the woman with the hemorrhage came, but they came looking for healing and My Son helped them make the faith declaration that opened the door to receive. And He also gave them the connection of His touch, which increased their trust and faith for healing for they had been touched by the hands of the Lord

I love you. Have you come to know and believe in the love I have for you? That is really what will give you great faith. Faith works by love.
