“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Become grateful and believe My Word and you will see the life you want. Death and life are in the power of your tongue and you shall eat the fruit of it. Make sure it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
If you want to live a life of days of Heaven on earth then begin to see yourself as indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Rejoice always (faith), pray without ceasing (hope), and give constant thanks (love). There is great joy and peace in believing My Word is true and you can have all My many magnificent promises, which are all “yes” to you in Christ Jesus. Not because of your works but because of the works of Jesus done on your behalf.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13. I did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.
Jesus has not only given you the authority to use His Name, but the POWER to back it up. And that is the Holy Spirit. The gift He came to give you. My promise of the Spirit.
“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.’” John 4:10.
And that is the miracle that brings Heaven to earth that we are studying in this Life Lesson. And you know what that is, Pentecost fulfilled, the gift of the Holy Spirit. After I had raised Jesus from the dead and He had ascended back to Me, He poured down My promise of old, the promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, by His death and resurrection, came to take out your stony heart and give you a living heart in which I could put My Spirit. And not only put My Spirit in you forever to raise you up and give life to your mortal body but also to be on you to clothe you in power from on High to be My witnesses from where you are to the end of the earth.
“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” Ezekiel 36:25-27.
When Jesus was about to leave the disciples and ascend back to Me, He promised them, “And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49.
“Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now . . . “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:4-5; 8.
All you who have received My Son, believed in your heart I raised Him from the dead and confessed with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” have been regenerated as born again members of My Kingdom. And you are now indwelt by My Spirit. But many are not aware of the treasure they have in their earthen vessel or they would take authority over the works of the devil.
“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16. “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
But you can not only have the Holy Spirit in you but also on you, and that is what happened at Pentecost. The anointing. Inside and outside. All new. And what can you be doing with so great a treasure? Great and mighty deeds, wonders, signs, miracles and walking in the fullness of the gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, and the revelation of My Word.
Jesus told you the wonderful things that Spirit can and will do in your life: partner with you, be the helper and advocate at your side, have fellowship with you, pull the helm of your life with you, pray in you according to My Will, lead you, guide you to all truth, remind you of My teachings, give you words and a wisdom no one can take exception to or contradict, teach you all things, tell you of things to come, share My deepest thoughts with you, and give you access to Me.
This is the greatest gift I can give you, for in giving you My Spirit, I have given you My own divine nature and life, I have made you to be partakers of My divinity, you can be filled with all the fullness of God bodily.
I strengthen you with power through My Spirit in your spirit, the inner man of your heart, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the believers what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all My fullness, the very fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21.
This is My divine life flowing into you to raise you up forever, to live forever beautiful strong and blessed. My family in My image according to My likeness. And you can have as much as you will receive. “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.” John 3:35.
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Peter 1:2-4.
There is no limit. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.
But there is more that I want to show you today. When you believe in the gospel of your salvation I seal you in Jesus with the Holy Spirit. I secure you in salvation.
I am referring to a passage in the letter to the Ephesians that reads as follows: “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14. Now I want to show you this in the Greek language in which it was written.
Let us look at the word “sealed,” “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him . . .” The word “sealed” is the Greek word, “sphragízō,” which is from sphragís, “a seal”– properly, to seal (affix) with a signet ring or other instrument to stamp (a roller or seal), i.e. to attest ownership, authorizing (validating) what is sealed. Furthermore, sphragízō (“to seal”) signifies ownership and the full security carried by the backing (full authority) of the owner. “Sealing” in the ancient world served as a “legal signature” which guaranteed the promise (contents) of what was sealed. And I sealed you in Jesus, I sealed you in the resurrection. “
And then the passage continues to tell you how you were sealed, “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:39-40. I seal you in Him and He must raise you up on the last day. But how? “with the Holy Spirit of promise who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” As prophesied by My prophet Ezekiel I promised to put My Spirit in you, but more than in you, I seal you with Him, the Spirit of promise. The Word there for “promise” is “epaggelia epaggelía comprised of epí, “appropriately on” and aggellō, “announce”– a promise which literally “announces what is fitting” (apt, appropriate). epaggelia (“an appropriate promise”) is nearly always used of My promises in the New Covenant – and hence guaranteed by My own eternal Law (Being). In the New Testament “epaggelía” is a legal term that refers to an officially sanctioned promise. This word promise (epaggelia) in the New Testament points back to the promise in the Old Testament. The first time this word is used in the New Testament, and first words are important, is referring to My promise of the Holy Spirit. “When Jesus was about to leave the disciples and ascend back to Me, He promised them, “And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49. And the next time I use it is in Acts 1:4: “Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised . . .” And the next time is Acts 2:33: “This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.” Acts 2:32-33. And again in that same chapter describing the details of Pentecost. “Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:39.
And the passage continues, I sealed you in Christ with the Holy Spirit of promise who is given as a pledge of your inheritance. The word translated “pledge” there is the word “arrhabṓn,” which means an installment; a deposit (“down-payment”) which guarantees the balance (the full purchase-price), that is, a down-payment pledge or “earnest-money,” i.e. advance-payment that guarantees the rest will be given. It represents full security backed by the purchaser who supplies sufficient proof they will fulfill the entire pledge (promise). It was a common term for “down payment/earnest money” and hence frequent in business documents and agreements. I only use this word three times in the New Testament and all three references are to the Holy Spirit. The other two are found in the second letter to the Corinthians, “For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.” 2 Corinthians 1:20-22. And “For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.” 2 Corinthians 5:5 You see clearly here that the seal of the Holy Spirit is the pledge, a guarantee, a payment toward, the redemption of your bodies to glorified bodies. And so it is in the passage in Ephesians, you are sealed in Christ “with the Holy Spirit of promise who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of acquired possession, to the praise of His glory.” The word “redemption” is apolýtrōsis, from apó, “from” and lytróō, “redeem” so it is literally, “buying back from, re-purchasing (winning back) what was previously forfeited (lost) to rightful ownership.” And the word translated “acquired possession” is peripoíēsis, which is from perí, “all-around” and poiéō, “make”– make one’s own; completely obtain, i.e. as a full possession, acquiring, obtaining, possessing, ownership.
So what am I saying here? I have given you the Holy Spirit in you and on you as the guarantee of the redemption not only of your souls but also of your bodies to be raised up to a new and glorious existence beyond all you can ask or imagine, and you already can begin experiencing this for I have given you a large down payment with a full guarantee of payment in full.
“If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11.
My promise to you of the Spirit has been fulfilled when Jesus won the right to receive Him from Me and pour Him down on hearts who believe. He baptizes you in the Spirit and fire. And I have sealed you in Jesus by My Holy Spirit when you believed in the truth of the gospel of your salvation in Christ as My child, heir, and guaranteed the resurrection to a glorious body—the promise of eternal life which I made to you before the world began.
And with the power from on High in you and on you there is no excuse for you hiding that light. You have healing in you now, My Spirit shares My thoughts and desires with you, gives you gifts of the Spirit, tells you things to come, reminds you of the Scripture passage right for your situation, transforms you, guides you to all truth, and gives you the fruit of the Spirit and the power of the Spirit, leads you, witnesses with you, testifies to Jesus, and is the way in which I pour My love into your heart. “And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:5. This is linking with Heaven upon the earth.
I love you and want to put you in Me and Me in you and so I have by My Spirit in you and on you. You need the Holy Spirit to do anything supernatural. For you all have access to Me only by the One Spirit and you only get that gift through Jesus. If you but knew My gift, you would ask Him for a drink and He will give you the waters of Life.
