The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Joy. Everyone wants to be happy. I desire this for you as well. I made all things for you to richly enjoy. I had to command My people to set aside feast days and joyful celebrations to spend time in My presence rejoicing in all the good produce and crops I had given them. And I had to command them to set aside one day a week in which they would take rest from toilsome labor and celebrate with Me.

I continually am knocking at the door of your heart to come in and dine with you and you with Me. I set a table before you in the sight of your foes. I anoint your head with oil so that your cup overflows. And I anoint you with the same anointing with which I anointed Jesus, the oil of JOY.

I blessed mankind from the first day I created you and the first Word I spoke to you was the Blessing. And the outcome of the Blessing upon you? That you would be fruitful, very fruitful, and have dominion over the earth.

And what was the first food I gave the man and woman to eat? Every tree which has fruit yielding seed. Fruit.

And Jesus came to undo the devil’s works and give you the joy of being fruitful in My Kingdom again. And how would the Blessing and the bearing of much fruit come back to you? “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5. In Jesus I have given you back all that you lost in Adam, the Blessing.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.

And how do you produce this fruitfulness? Jesus explained, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.” John 15:7-8.

What kind of fruit is Jesus talking about? What kind of fruit was I talking about with the first man and woman?

There are many levels here. Fruit can be described as the fruit of your labors, the work of your hands, the produce of your fields, the products of your life and of your assignment. Fruit can be the results of the good works that I prepared for you in advance. Fruit can be the fruit of your body, by which I mean your children. And I refer to the words of your mouth as the fruit of your lips. And all this fruit can be as varied as the plans I have for your lives, which outnumber the sands of the sea.

But the branches on a vine all produce the same fruit, so there is more here I am telling you.

“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16-20

If you will note the provision I gave to Adam and Eve that would be their food was every tree which has fruit yielding seed. Fruit that would give them seed to plant to grow more trees producing fruit from that seed.

The fruit of the branch is produced by the character and sap of the vine, the life of the vine goes into the branches and the flower and fruit forms from that.

What is the sap that flows in the Vine of Jesus? I have told you, “You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” Romans 8:9. To be attached to the Vine you must have the Holy Spirit in you who is the Spirit of Christ and My Spirit for we are One and the same Spirit, forming One God in three divine Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

And let Me continue with this passage, “If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 10-11.

So you see the life of Jesus in the Vine that is flowing into you is the gift He came to give you, the Holy Spirit, My promise to you that Jesus had to die for your sins to give Him to you.

Grace is My divine life in you and that flows into you by My gift of the Holy Spirit. I am love, and I pour My love into your heart by the gift of My Holy Spirit.

And what fruit does the life of the Holy Spirit, which is the life of the Vine, produce in your spirit?

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. This is one fruit with many seeds in it to plant.

No matter what works your hands do, or your lips produce, or your assignment yields, if it is done without love it is not fruit that will endure. But this fruit, the fruit the Holy Spirit produces in you, will yield much fruit in your life and the lives of everyone you plant a seed of it in. And you plant by your words and deeds. Receive the implanted Word, it has the power to save your souls.

I call My Words seeds, imperishable seeds. And you are born again by the imperishable seed of My Word.

Jesus continued, “You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. This I command you, that you love one another.” John 15:16-17.

And the fruit of the Spirit begins with love, goes on to joy (love produces joy), and then goes on to peace (love and joy produce peace), then to patience (love, joy, and peace produce patience), next to kindness (love, joy, peace, and patience produce kindness), then on to goodness (love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness produce goodness), then goes on to faithfulness (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and goodness produce faithfulness), next gentleness (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness produce gentleness), and finally produces self-control (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and gentleness produce self-control); against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.

These things are all joy. Pure unclouded, uncluttered joy, making your life a life of joy. For there is joy in all these seeds that make up the fruit of the Spirit.

True joy is have the fruit of the Spirit produced in you become the fruit and memorial of who you are. There is no regret in any of these things in your life.

You can be at rest, a sabbath rest from toilsome anxiety, in these. This wonderful fruit will not torment you.

It is for freedom that Christ freed you—free from tormenting thoughts, free from the encumbrances of sin, free from all the things that oppressed and bound you, free from the cords of death and hell, free from guilt and shame. He came to set the captives free. I anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and power and He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil. Acts 10:38.

The fruit the Holy Spirit produces in you is not like the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that brought death to Adam and Eve as they tried to be independent sovereigns deciding the parameters of what was good and what was evil, calling evil good and good evil, as the world continues to do today, being under the power of the evil one, that is, the “god” of this world.

But you who are in Christ have passed from death to life and you know that you are of Me, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1 John 5:19. How do you know that? You have eaten of the tree of life. In fact, you have attached to it as the branches to a vine, and you are not only eating the fruit of the tree of life that Adam and Eve were not permitted to eat after eating the fruit of the tree of death, but you are also producing its fruit to feed others. And your fruit will endure.

And producing the fruit of life everlasting is a joy. It is making you very fruitful. You are blessed to be a blessing.

With the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; he will be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power (in Hebrew, “yod,” meaning “hand”) of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:20-21.

You will not have joy unless you walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh. Attached to the Vine of Jesus and filled with the “sap,” the life, of the Vine, which is the Holy Spirit, you will be partaking of and producing the fruit of the Spirit. And that is what you must also eat as your spiritual nourishment.

Self-control is of the fruit of the Spirit and that is how you starve the flesh and feed your spirit. What you look at, pay attention to, meditate upon, think of, and speak will either feed your spirit or feed your flesh. If you feed the belly of your flesh you will walk according to the flesh and produce the deeds of the flesh, which are evident, they are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom. Galatians 5:19-21. These things do not bring joy and do not make you fruitful. These things tend toward death. And that is where the mind set on the flesh will take you.

But you are not to eat just the bread of the flesh but the bread of My Word, which is Spirit and life. And the fruit produced by the Spirit is life and peace, causing rivers of living water to flow out of your belly.

Take joy in the fruit you are producing, eat it as the fruit of your lips, and implant the seeds of it in others. And give them the full blown fruit to eat as well, for you will be very fruitful, giving fruit to the eater and seeds to the sower.

I love you. People will know you by your fruit. Make sure you are attached to the Vine that is the tree of life. Jesus has taken you back to the Blessing of Eden and given you the fruit of the tree of life. He died upon the tree and His body became your food. You have eaten the bread of life. And this is how you get on the Vine and bear the fruit of life.
