And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose. Romans 8:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Let Me show you your dream, let Me give you the plan, let Me lead you today to your promised land. Don’t have any fear, I am always here at your side, within and without, I have compassed you all about, making your life beautiful and new, singing My songs with you, singing My songs in you.
Without a purpose bigger than just providing for your own needs, you will not have joy in this life. Everyone needs to have a purpose to which they are called so that when things look dark or barren, you can lift your eyes to the finish line of your purpose, of your goal. And it is important that you love that purpose as well.
My apostle Paul lived this. Once I revealed his purpose to him, to share the unfathomable riches of Christ, everything that he once thought so important faded into the background in comparison, in fact, he called it all rubbish compared to knowing Jesus and the power of His resurrection in his life. He explained, “Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14.
An upward call. I have called you to My own Kingdom and glory by calling you into partnership with My Son Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 1:9. Yes, I have called you to My eternal glory in Christ. 1 Peter 5:10.
Your beautiful life, your glory, should be shining out to world, which is trapped in darkness. You were once living in darkness but I called you out of darkness into My own marvelous light for you once were not a people, but now you are My people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:10. I have called you to be My children reflecting My glory to the world, that is My goodness, My presence, and My power as you do the works Jesus did and greater. He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil. He was undoing the works of the devil in people’s lives. And you who believe are to do the works He did and greater. I have called, equipped and empowered you to do this, each in your own unique way in the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance that you should walk in them
You have a glorious purpose but it only will be realized through faith, and faith works by love.
Love life that you may live and that others may learn all about the life that is life indeed through you. When you know who I am, you will be able to relax into your purpose.
Joy is having ALL things work together for good in your life. But you may be thinking it has not been that way for you so far. Well, then it is time to take another look at My promise that I cause all things to work together for good to those who love Me and are called according to purpose so that you may live it. I fill your day with good things. If this is not evident in your life, it is time you received it so your joy can be complete.
You will note that My apostle Paul thought you should know this. “And we KNOW that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God and are called according to purpose.” My servant Joseph, Jacob’s son, knew this long before Paul penned it. But he knew it the same way Paul did, by inspiration of My Spirit. We walked together.
And that is key. Walk with Me. And two can only walk together if they agree. That is, if they have a common purpose and have a mutual love and trust for one another.
Entrust your plans to Me and they will succeed if you love Me and are called according to purpose. Lean on Me and not just on your own understanding.
My Word is law and works for everyone who will receive it and do it. If you hear My Words and obey them the blessings will pursue you and overwhelm you. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. Not merely hearers but effectual doers. “But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:25.
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.” Romans 8:28. I make all things work together for good to those who are loving Me and are called according to purpose.
The word translated “purpose” is the Greek word “prothesis (πρόθεσις),” which means a setting forth in advance for a specific purpose. It is also the word I use for the showbread (the “bread of the presence”), the sacred bread, for which I gave the instructions to Moses when I gave him the plans for the tabernacle. It was twelve loaves of wheat bread, corresponding to the number of the tribes of Israel, which loaves were offered to Me every Sabbath, and, separated into two rows, and kept before Me in the inner court outside the veil into the Holy of Holies for seven days upon a golden table. Exodus 25:30. Only the priests could eat this bread.
What is My purpose? If you go back to when I created man, I created you in My image and according to My likeness to have dominion on earth over the works of My hands and to have fruitful lives filled with abundance as you replenished the earth. I gave you seed to plant and grow. I gave you everything I made to richly enjoy. I blessed you.
I know the purpose I have for you, a life of shalom (wholeness in every area) and not evil. To give you a future and a hope.
And after Adam and Eve left their purpose and gave over their dominion to another, My purpose was to get them back, to transfer all of you back to My Kingdom out of the realm of darkness to which you had exiled yourselves by your own doing. I wanted you back in the light of My love, in the light of life, and I wanted to restore you to a better state than you had been when you lost your way.
I have called you all to the purpose of this plan of reconciliation, salvation, restoration of righteousness, and the reopening of the abundance of Eden, and eternal life that starts now and just gets brighter and brighter until perfect day, the day of the redemption of your bodies as I have already done for you in your spirit.
You are an ambassador of reconciliation sent out as a bright light in this world darkened by sin and death, to help others to find the Way out of the dark valley of the shadow of death to the abundant table I set before you in the sight of your enemies.
But each one of you is called to a unique path through this world to the eternal Kingdom which you can bring the benefits of to earth even now.
So how do you find that path so that everything is working together for good in your life no matter what is put up in your way to stop your destiny by the world, the flesh and the devil? Where no weapon formed against you will prosper and whatever assails you will fall because of you.
Joseph the son of Jacob, had many evil works done against him but even though the evil works the devil took others captive to do tried to stop his upward call, he refused to allow it to do so. Rather than seeking revenge or evil against his persecutors, he walked with Me through slavery and imprisonment because he had a dream, two dreams I had given him and he kept keeping his eyes on those rather than looking only into the slavery or the prison. And by keeping his eyes on the goal, he came through all of the evil to a good and spacious place of freedom and blessing. To his wealthy place. His promised land. And he saved the lives of many in the time of famine.
How do you walk out your destiny? With Me by My Spirit in you and on you.
Not by your power or might, but by My Spirit. I have not left you orphans. I have given you a most wondrous gift, the gift Jesus came to give you, the One He promised to send to you, pour down on you, from Me when He returned in glory to My throne, having redeemed you from the law of sin and death and raised you up to new life, regenerated by My Spirit who testifies to you that your sins and offenses I remember no more and witnesses with your spirit that you are My children and that all I have is yours. He is the Spirit of Truth that the world cannot know, but you who are the body of Christ, the church, know for He is with you and in you forever.
He guides you personally to all truth, warns you of things to come, reminds you of the Scripture that will bring you through the problem, storm or trial you are facing (I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions (pits)) and leads you in the way you should go. And He gives you grace gifts and His life in you, which is My life, produces fruit with your spirit.
And I pour My love in your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit. So here is the love you need to qualify for all things to work together for good for those who are loving Me. Loving My salvation, My redemption, My wisdom, and your sanctification in Me by My Word implanted in your heart.
And how do you find your calling according to My purpose? Your “prothesis (πρόθεσις),” the setting forth in advance of your specific purpose? I tell you in the context around the promise, “In the same way the Spirit also helps (sunantilambanomai: to take hold with at the side, hence to take a share in, generally to help, take hold of the helm of your life and pull it with you in the right direction) our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes (hyperentygxánō (“intercede”) refers to the Holy Spirit interceding in every scene of your lives so you can “come in line with” the My eternal purpose. The content of these intercessions goes beyond human language, and includes bringing sacred mysteries into your daily walk with Me) for us with groanings too deep for words (when you speak in tongues you speak mysteries beyond mere human wisdom); and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes (entygxánō, from, “in,” which intensifies tygxánō, “to obtain by hitting the mark”) for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also preordained to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He preordained, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.” Romans 8:26-29. I have called you to My own Kingdom and glory.
Pray in the Spirit, that is, in tongues with both your spirit and your understanding, and pray out your destiny and the Holy Spirit will take hold of the helm of your life at your side and steer you in the right direction always.
And the goal? Your call, your justification, and your glorification. Perfect love. Nothing can separate you from My love as manifested in Christ Jesus you Lord and that makes you more than conquerors. And that is why all things work together for good. I have made you more than a conqueror.
I love you and that is why you have such a wonderful purpose and goal.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Romans 8:32-34.
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39.
