That the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Romans 8:21.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

The freedom of My children. All creation groans for it. I speak of “the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” Do you know of what I am speaking?

It all started in the Garden of Eden with the first man and woman. And in Jesus, I addressed the issue. It is an issue of freedom, but even more than that, it is about reigning in life both now and forever. It is about the manifestation of glory—My goodness, My presence, and My power—in your life.

Those who receive the gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace will reign in life through Christ Jesus. Romans 5:17; Revelation 22:5.

Once when Jesus was being questioned as to His statements by the Pharisees, Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32.

There were those present with Him who found this offensive since they wanted to call themselves free. So they questioned Jesus, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?” John 8:33.

Jesus answered a very profound answer that you would be wise to take note for answering our prior question as to the freedom of My children.

Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:34-36.

It is freedom from sin, and it is the difference in being a son or a slave. A son is an heir and a slave is not. He does not have the birth right. A son has a right to live in his father’s house, a slave does not have this right with his master.

Sin stripped Adam and Eve of the glory of My children and they lost their birth right. The one they gave their lives to became their adopted father, the devil. And it put them in a life of toil, poverty, sickness, and eternal death. They became slaves of sin. And they put all their descendants into the family of sin.

Unless you are born again from above, you are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44.

If you receive My precious gift of Jesus as your Lord, however, He gives you the authority to be My child. You are adopted back by the Holy Spirit to your original birthright. Born again by the imperishable seed of My Word. 1 Peter 1:23-25.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13.

Keeping your eyes on Jesus as your Lord and Savior frees you from every encumbrance and of the sin which so easily entangles you, so that you can live the abundant, amazing, spirit-filled life of the redeemed and freely run the course of your life.

And this amazing freedom comes by continuing (abiding, remaining) in My Word, as expressed to you in Christ, becoming a follower of Him who is the way, the truth, and the life, and being set free by My Son from sin so you can be righteous with My own righteousness.

The wages of sin is death. This is a spiritual law, the law of sin and death, that manifests in your physical body. It is a just (in the sense of Justice) law. You sin intentionally, you die. The sacrifices of the sin offering, burnt offering, peace offering, and guilt offering were only for those whose sins were unintentional. If you murdered another and it was not unintentional, you gave your life for that life you murdered. But the life you gave must be of the same quality as the one taken.

Sin is lawlessness and sin always destroys you and others. For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.” Galatians 3:11.

Now no one is justified by the law before Me. The righteous man shall live by faith. Righteousness by faith in My Son.  The Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.” But Christ redeemed you from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for you—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that you would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14. Through faith—faith in the divine substitution and identification, provision and vision, wrought for you in Christ Jesus your Lord.

The blessing of Abraham, which his descendants had, was the gift of righteousness by faith in My Word, not earned by works, but a gift received by faith in My ability to make righteous the ungodly to receive My blessings.

The freedom of the children of God. The truth will set you free. And Jesus is the truth. And He is My Word. John 1:14. My Word is the truth. John 17:17. I sanctify you by the truth. John 17:17; John 15:3. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destruction. Psalm 107:20.

Freedom from condemnation to death, eternal death. Freedom from the wages of sin. Freedom from the slavery of sin. But there is much more. It is also freedom from the curse of the law.

What is the curse of the law? The law of sin and death, which also encompasses the curse—which is toil, poverty and lack, sickness and pain (physical, mental, and emotional), and eternal death.

You sin intentionally, you die. That is justice, My justice. But in My great mercy and love for you, I did not want you to be under this judgment of condemnation. I made you to richly enjoy all I made for you with Me. One family, united, triumphant and true, sharing My joy, My goodness, My holiness, My love, and My life with you. To reign with Me now and forever and ever. Revelation 22:5.

So I had to satisfy My justice, for I act justly, but also satisfy My great love and mercy towards you. To satisfy My justice, an eternal life had to be given in satisfaction for the eternal life you murdered and for all sins committed since then. And in that, to also take all your sickness, pain, guilt, shame, and mental anguish.

So I sent My Son, who humbled Himself, emptied Himself of His power as God and made Himself like you in all respects except sin. He was born of My incorruptible Word as Adam had been before he sinned. And that is why He had to have a virgin mother so that no seed of Adam’s line formed My Son but only the seed of My Word. So My Son had an indestructible life in the flesh just as Adam had before he sinned and corrupted the seed so that death came into the world and descended through his seed to all people born thereafter. There was no one of Adam’s line that could qualify.

And He saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no one to intercede; then His own arm brought salvation to Him, and His righteousness upheld Him. Isaiah 59:16.

My own arm reached down to you in Jesus. I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself, not counting your trespasses against you for I made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin on your behalf, so that you might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:19-21.

No one of you  can by any means redeem his brother or sister or give Me a ransom for them, for the redemption of a soul is costly, and of Adam’s line there was no way you could pay it for no one had an eternal life to give that he should live on eternally. But I redeemed your soul from the power of death and hell, for in Jesus, I receive you unto Myself, holy, blameless and beyond reproach. Psalm 49:7-9, 15.

So I sent Jesus to accept all your sins into His pure flesh and give His life to satisfy divine justice for you. He paid the ransom of an eternal life for the eternal life you lost. Paid in full. He paid the ransom for all with His blood. The life is in the blood and it is the blood that makes atonement for you on the altar, on the mercy seat in the Holy of Holies. And He had pure eternal blood to give.

Know this then, that your old self was crucified with Him, in order that your body of sin might be done away with, so that you would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin. When He died, you by substitution and identification, died with Him and when I raised Him from the dead with all sins fully satisfied for and gone, I raised you as justified with Him.

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, I did: sending My own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, I condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be justly fulfilled in you, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Jesus saved you from your sins. He became your substitute for the sentence for your sins. He became your scapegoat. He took all your sins off you and onto His own flesh and then He had to die. The wages of sin is death. He took your sentence and saved you though He never sinned. He died your death and gave you His life. He took the curse and gave you the blessing of Abraham and the promise of the Spirit by faith. And now in glory He too is free.

You have been redeemed from sin and death and redeemed to freedom. You have the benefits of the Kingdom. You have been forgiven, healed, redeemed from the pit of poverty, surrounded with love and compassion, have days filled with good things, and the renewal of your youth.

For if while you were My enemies I reconciled you to Myself through the death of My Son, much more, having been reconciled, you shall be saved by His life. Romans 5:10. I will give you everything in Him, including My Kingdom and all its benefits according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Romans 8:32.

Now I have sealed you who believe in Christ in Him by the Holy Spirit and made Him to be wisdom for you, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

But freedom begins with the gift of righteousness, for it all starts with the forgiveness of your sins. And that opens the way back to the glory Adam and Eve lost. They were naked.

So in our next life lesson we will explore righteousness.

I love you. I have redeemed you. You are precious, honored, and beloved in My eyes. All that redemption means to you  is so deep and high and wide that it is unfathomable for you at this point. It is more than the number of the stars.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. Ephesians 1:7-8.
