“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Living eternal life is walking in perfect protection. When you are walking in the Spirit, you live by the Spirit, in other words, you hear what He is saying. And He tells you of things to come.

Elisha was receiving words of knowledge from the Holy Spirit when he would know the enemy king’s plans of ambush and attack so that he could warn the king of Israel to avoid them or attack the enemy from behind. Clever as snakes but innocent as doves.

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. John 16:12-13.

He will disclose to you the things to come. My Spirit knows My very depths and He reveals mysteries to you.

The king answered Daniel and said, “Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.” Daniel 2:47.

Perfect protection comes not by your power or might but by My Spirit. My Word of power that created all things, sustains all things, and raised up Jesus from the dead with all your sins gone. And once you receive Jesus as your Lord, you become one spirit with Me. In other words, your spirit joins up with My Spirit and from that union comes the fruit and gifts of the Spirit produced together by you and Him. And that is grace. My divine life flowing into you.

And thus My first blessing to mankind is fulfilled, “Be fruitful, bear much fruit.” It is your dominion authority joined with My empowerment by the Spirit in you and on you.

And now we walk together in the wisdom and power of My Spirit in you. For I sealed you in Christ when you believed with the Holy Spirit of promise and I made Him to be wisdom for you, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

This is what My apostle Paul was speaking about when he stated, “The love of God the Father, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.” That is living eternal life. And it also is living in the secret place of the Most High.

Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4.

You are hidden with Christ in Me. Remember that when the people in Nazareth tried to throw Jesus over the brow of the hill to His death He simply walked right out of the midst of them and went on His way. He was hidden in Me and now you are too.

Jesus said in His prayer to Me at the Last Supper, “But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. John 17:13-19.

I keep you. Where? In My secret place. In My hands where I have engraved your name. Under the shadow of My Hand covered by the pinions of the Heavenly Host.

And the promise of being hidden from evil in Me is all through My Word. First, I did not want Adam and Eve to even know evil but they learned it prematurely before they were ready for the meat of the Word.

I hid Noah, who walked with Me and found favor and grace in My eyes, from evil by sealing him in the ark and thus preserved him from judgment with the ungodly.

I put a hedge around Job of My favor, which he put down by fear and doubt but after he learned to shut out the devil the hedge went back up and kept him securely in the blessing the rest of his long and satisfying life.

I told Abraham I was a shield to him and his very great reward.

“Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1.

His son Isaac walked also in the same shield of favor and received the hundredfold blessing in the time of famine. I gave him the same underground wells I had given his father Abraham and more.

And Isaac’s son Jacob did the same, he went out to find his bride only with staff in hand, and he came back as two companies and I provided for him all his life and beyond. And Jacob’s son, Joseph, walked with Me in My shield of favor as well and I promoted him to rule a nation.

Though many tried to harm Joseph, including his own brothers, Joseph walked with Me and I kept him in perfect protection. I rescued him from the pit, from slavery, from prison, and put him in a palace with authority over all of Egypt.

But even there, he was covered by the shield of My good will. Thus making all things work out for his good as he walked in My love according to My purpose. I put him in charge all and he saved the Hebrew people for the sake of My promise to Abraham that in him all the world would be blessed. I made his line to be the line from which would come the Messiah according to the flesh.

I shielded Moses and My people Israel from the pursuing army of Pharaoh by placing a barrier they could not cross between them and My people until I led them out through the sea.

The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud along with the darkness, yet it gave light at night. Thus the one did not come near the other all night. Exodus 14:19-20.

David sang of this secret place in Me where I preserved him from those who would harm him,

You are my hiding place (seter: secret place); You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7.

A place of joyful song hidden from the eyes of evil, a place of shelter and deliverance. The way of escape. The place of grace in which you now stand by faith. And again, you hear of this “secret place” in Me. “Seter” in Hebrew.

For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Psalm 27:5-6.

A hidden place of festive song leading upward.

O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret place (seter) of the steep ascent (pathway, stairwell), let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.” Song of Songs 2:14.

Sing with Me for the song of the dove is heard in your land. The latter rain.

David fought more battles than anyone else has ever fought, beginning with Goliath, or you could say beginning with the lion and the bear that tried to take his father’s sheep that he was tending. And yet he was never injured and he never lost. Why? He always sought My direction and My strategy before entering battle. But there was much more than that, he stayed in the secret place of My good will. It was in the place of perfect protection in Me that he sang for joy till harm passed by.

For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. Psalm 63:7.

He found refuge in My secret place.

From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; let me take refuge in the secret place (seter) of Your wings. Psalm 61:2-4.

When David consulted Me, if I told him to go after the enemy, such as in Ziklag, I told him that he would recover all. He went immediately, without even knowing where he should be going but trusting I would direct him as he went, and I did. And then he did not just recover what was taken from him and his men but I added more on top of that as a bonus for his faith.

How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men! You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues. Psalm 31:19-20.

And in that secret place deep in Me I am your shield.

You are my hiding place (seter) and my shield; I wait for Your Word. Psalm 119:114.

And David’s son, Solomon, also sought refuge in My secret place and he understood it to be in the strong tower of My Name.

The Name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is set on high (safe, lifted inaccessibly high). Proverbs 18:10.

That promise is for those who know Me, who know My Covenant Name,

“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My Name.” Psalm 91:14.

Everyone who calls upon My Name will be saved. Romans 10:13.

“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation (Yeshuah).” Psalm 91:15-16.

And that takes us to the psalm I give you that is full of revelation of how to live in My secret place and enjoy the life of perfect protection even in the midst of terror and the attacks of the enemy. Yes, it is Psalm 91. It is time for you to consider the lessons therein for it is full of Words of faith that you must speak as well.

He who dwells in the secret place (seter) of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!” Psalm 91:1-2.

So here you see the way to enter My secret place by faith. You say to Me, “My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust!” Declare who I am to you and that is who I will be. Remember the useless servant who buried his talent because he said I was a hard man and he was scared of Me so he did nothing?

For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. Psalm 91:3-4.

Once you have made Me your refuge and your fortress and put your trust in Me, I have authority to deliver you from the attacks of the devil and his unclean spirits. I am working on your behalf once you invite Me in. Hold up your shield of faith, and your part comes next

You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; or the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. Psalm 91:5-6.

Jesus gave you His peace, which is My peace for all I have is His and all He has is Mine, but you also have a part to play to enforce that peace that passes understanding that I have freely given you and that is you must not permit yourself to be troubled or afraid. Since I promise to deliver you, then you must refuse to allow the devil and his attacks to frighten you or take you down or make you give up and surrender to his lies.

A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Psalm 91:7-8.

So there is My part once you have refused to fear and have entered My secret place.

And now comes your part again:

For you have made the LORD, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. Psalm 91:9.

How do you abide in Me and make Me your dwelling place? By remaining in My Word and letting it remain in you. Then  you ask what you will and it shall be done for you. Then you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples. And when you love and keep My Word, I come with My Son and we make our abode with you. John 14:23.

And here comes My part again once you have made Me your refuge and dwelling place,

No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. Psalm 91:10.

And how am I doing that? By My heavenly host.

For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, that you do not strike your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11-12.

You see this in action when Herod locked Peter in jail and had him set for execution and the church was praying on his behalf. I sent My heavenly host and My angel covered Peter with his pinions and took him right out from under the nose of his guards and securely locked gates and chains. And Peter’s response? “Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.” Acts 12:11.

And now comes your part again with the authority I have given you who believe in Jesus’ Name to cast out demons and tread upon the enemy.

You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you will trample down. Psalm 91:13.

And how do you tread on an unseen foe who is a spirit being? You answer his lies with the truth of My Word and cast him out. Answer him and tread his lies and tactics underfoot.

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Luke 10:19.

Use your authority in Jesus and do not let Satan get away with anything. Tread on him. You are seated with Christ at My right hand and Satan is beneath your feet.

“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn.” Isaiah 54:17.

The devil is the accuser of the brethren, condemn his lies and never speak them as if they are true about you. By your words you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned. He is trying to make you condemn yourself before Me. Never give in. Submit to My Words about you, resist the devil, and he will have to FLEE.

And next in Psalm 91 comes your part and My part together, and then just My part if you fulfill the first part:

Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My Name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16.

You have loved Me. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. All things work together for good for those who love Me and are called according to My purpose. Love means you have a heart towards Me and value Me and My Word. Love means you are a doer of My Word and not a mere hearer. And those who love Me, I deliver, I show Myself strong on your behalf. I will fight for you against those who would harm you.

I set you securely on high because you know My Name. What Name? The Name that supplies your need: The LORD your healer if you need healing, the LORD your provider if you need provision, the LORD your Shepherd if you need protection and guidance, and I could go on and on through all My magnificent Covenant Names that each hold a promise. So be diligent to learn them all.

And when you call upon Me, I answer you. I tell you great and mighty things you could not know. I show you the way of deliverance and victory. I provide what you need. When the Israelites finally remembered Me and called upon Me in their slavery, I came down and redeemed them.

And then because of your call, your love set on Me, your knowing Me, and your making Me your refuge, dwelling place, and fortress, “I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91: 16.

I am your shield and very great reward. I do not change My mind about you.

And let us finish with Jesus’ words on the subject as well.

Jesus knew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, “Are you deliberating together about this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me, and again a little while, and you will see Me’? Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world. Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.” John 16:19-22.

I love you. Living eternal life is walking in perfect protection because you know My Name. And I have called you by name before you were even born.
