The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me. Psalm 16:5-6.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Covenant creates the rightful heirs. And what are they heirs to? Whatever the one who instituted the Covenant has. I make the promises and you receive them by faith. That is the Covenant I made with Abraham and that is the Covenant Jesus makes with you. His promises and your faith and that gives you an inheritance and it gives it to you now for the death of the testator has taken place.
For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. Hebrews 9:15-17.
“Indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me,” sang David, in Psalm 16. What inheritance? Look at the line before: “The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. What is he talking about? The portion of My priests, I was their portion and their cup, I provided for all of their needs by the tithe and the offerings while they were busy about My affairs. They had the best of everything All the other tribes received lands as their inheritance as determined by lot when they took possession of the land I had promised Abraham by covenant for his descendants.
And what is your inheritance now that My Son has loved you and released you from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom, priests unto Me? The Kingdom and every spiritual blessing in Heaven. All you need for life and godliness now and forever. You have the inheritance of eternal life.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs of eternal life according to hope. Titus 3:5-7.
And living eternal life is living in your inheritance now. For like the prodigal son and his brother, your inheritance is available to you even now and it will never be exhausted. It is eternal abundance but it begins now with all that you need upon the earth for life and godliness by being partakers in Christ of all My marvelous Covenant promises as well as all His promises, which are also, Mine.
You must understand that My New Covenant is guaranteed to you. It has double security. When you make covenant with My Son you are in His hand and He, having made covenant with Me as Son of Man, is in My hand, so you are also in My hand by being in His hand.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30.
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:20-21.
His sheep are His flock that He leads in and out to find green pasture and refreshing waters of healing and peace. And it has pleased Me to give His little flock the Kingdom. So do not live in fear little flock. You are joint heirs with your good Shepherd and He has died and been raised up as the great good Shepherd to equip you with every good thing.
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21.
You are in Him in the New Covenant He made with you and all who would partake of the Covenant meal in faith, honor, and love, and receive the promises by faith in remembrance of Him. 1 Corinthians 11:23-29. And once you are in Him, then you are in Me, and you are His heirs and He is My heir so in Him you become My heirs jointly with Him. For it is His rights and heirship you are taking as yours.
So what is your inheritance? Everything good, perfect, and pleasing. And I have qualified you to receive this inheritance without works but by faith.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:3-5.
I have qualified you to share in the riches of the glory of the inheritance of the saints in Light. I have not only given you an inheritance, but I also first qualified you to receive it. I did this in three ways and they all testify: the Spirit, the Water and the Blood.
By the Blood you are forgiven and justified—made blameless before Me beyond reproach, that is, the accusations of Satan. And when you receive His Blood you partake of His life and nature. You become one family with Jesus and through Him with Me and all other members of the Covenant family.
By the Water of the Word you are regenerated and born again through the birth canal of the Word and renewed in your mind to know your calling (Word), your inheritance (Blood), and My power at work in you (Spirit).
When you join with Jesus you become one Spirit with Him and He is One with Me.
But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17.
I gave My apostle Paul direction for his mission and it was just this, that he was to open people’s eyes so that they would turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to Me, that they would receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me. Acts 26:18.
I love you. I made everything for you to richly enjoy. And that is your inheritance. Everyhing.
