And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Covenant is a very powerful relationship. It binds two as one and makes each responsible to come to the aid of the other. Each one has the right and privilege to call on the other with confidence that their request will be met to the extent of the full power, possessions, and life of the other. Where one has more than the other, it is the richer and more powerful one that brings the other to the same level when the more powerful one comes to the aid of the other. They share everything with no limits up to their very lives.

By being in Covenant with Me in your Covenant with Jesus who is in Covenant with Me, you can be filled with all My fullness.

Let Me show you this from the prayer My Spirit inspired My apostle Paul to pray for you who are in Covenant with Me through My Son and explain it to you as we study it.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. Ephesians 3:14-15.

This speaks of those in Covenant with Me through Jesus, for that is the only way you enter the New and Everlasting Covenant of Love with Me. It is the only way you have access to Me and My Kingdom with no hindrance. It has to be by way of the Lamb of sacrifice, for sin cannot stand in My presence and until you are cleansed of all sin by His blood, born again by the Word and sealed in Him by My Holy Spirit as a pledge you cannot enter My Presence.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6.

But once you have entered Covenant with Him, you receive His Name and I have given Him My Name so you receive My Name.

I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. John 17:11.

In a Covenant the one entering the Covenant receives the Name of the initiator of the Covenant. And from the beginning I have been the one who initiates the Covenant with you.

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10.

I so loved the world I gave you My only begotten Son as an invitation to you to join Me in Covenant in Him, so that you might have the joy of living your life through Him and possessing all that I have. You have covenant rights to receive My love, My joy, My peace, My provision, My health, My wealth, My power, My glory, My grace, My life, and to ask Me to pour these into you as rivers of living water by the Covenant gift of My Holy Spirit in you.

The New Covenant is enacted on better promises than the Old but it contains all of the promises of the Old Covenant to even a greater degree of assurance of receiving them due to your gift of My righteousness and My Spirit dwelling in you under the New Covenant.

For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ Jesus they are YES; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. 2 Corinthians 1:20-22.

And under the Old Covenant, David, who was very aware of covenant and covenant rights, sang and reminded himself of the rights and benefits he had in Covenant with Me.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who surrounds you with lovingkindness and compassion; who fills your days with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:2-5.

And that is the next part of Paul’s Spirit led prayer for you who are in Covenant with Me, to know and have confidence in what is yours because of My great love for you in this New Covenant that can never be broken or set aside for it is between Jesus, as Son of Man and Son of God, and Me and you are locked in it in Jesus. IN CHRIST you have all He has.

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the sanctified ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19.

First, he asks that you may be strengthened with power by My Spirit within. This is a Covenant right for you to be strong in Me and in the power of My might to take down all the attacks of the devil against your soul and body. You have a Covenant right to call upon My power to fight for you, with you, and in you to the full extent of all that contains, which includes My heavenly host, My full armor, My Word, the Blood of Jesus, My mighty hand of power, and the power of My Spirit. Not your might and power alone against the evil that comes up in your life but by My Spirit! Be filled with My Word and with My Spirit and you will be strong in Me and the power My might. I hold all things together by My Word of power. I am My Word.

You are Mine and I am yours. You are with Me always by Covenant and all I have is yours. You can and should come with confidence to My throne of grace with your great High Priest and your precious perfect Lamb of sacrifice and find, receive, and take just what you need and more besides.

And as Abraham knew, I am more than able to perform all I promise. You have only to believe, as Abraham, the believer.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21.

All I have is yours in Jesus and what I have has no limits, no boundaries, and no measure for it is beyond measure. Treasure beyond measure. Think B.I.G. (beautiful in God). Beautiful indeed is your inheritance, and since Jesus has died and now lives forever, the inheritance is already yours.

“Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.” Revelation 1:17-18.

And Paul wants you to know My love. The love that surpasses understanding. My love towers to the highest heaven and goes to the deepest depths of the sea. My love for you is tangible and real, for I am love. It is My very person and self. And when you are filled with Me you are filled with love. And love is sweet and will fill your life with the fragrance of Heaven.

The deeper you attach to My Son the more rooted and grounded you are in love and you can draw up that love into yourself, which is better than the finest wine.

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:6-7.

And the more you have revelation of what I have done for you in Christ and the Covenant He has made with you to bring you into His Covenant with Me the more you will rest in My love.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39.

The promises given in Covenant are binding and cannot be lightly taken. It is a very serious commitment and lasting relationship. The Israelites under the leadership of Joshua understood Covenant and they chose to serve Me by renewing and affirming their Covenant with Me in Shechem when they had conquered and were dwelling in the land I had promised them by Covenant with Abraham. Joshua 24:14-28.

But here I would like to show you what Covenant rights can do for a people who has made covenant though they had no merits that should have received this favor otherwise. In fact, they entered covenant by guile. It is the story of the Gibeonites.

And the Gibeonites by making covenant with the Israelites tapped into the Covenant the Israelites had with Me for their protection. And they enjoy it to this day.

Once Joshua and the children of Israel had crossed the Jordan and conquered Jericho and Ai with astounding signs and wonders, the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country and in the lowland and on all the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, heard of it and they gathered themselves together with one accord to fight with Joshua and with Israel. Joshua 9:1-2.

When the inhabitants of the great royal city of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and to Ai, they feared for they knew that this was the nation that had been redeemed out of Egypt and that I had fought for them in a most miraculous way and that they were meant to take the whole land and wipe out all those dwelling therein. But they understood covenant and they knew if they could make covenant with My people they would be secure and share the victory.

So they acted craftily and sent out as envoys wearing worn out clothes and sandals making it look as if they had come on a very long journey to reach Joshua and the Israelites. And all the bread of their provision was dry and had become crumbled. Thus, they went to Joshua to the camp at Gilgal and said to him and to the men of Israel, “We have come from a far country; now therefore, make a covenant with us.”

The men of Israel said, “Perhaps you are living within our land; how then shall we make a covenant with you?”

But they said to Joshua, “We are your servants.”

Then Joshua said to them, “Who are you and where do you come from?” They said to him, “Your servants have come from a very far country because of the fame of the LORD your God; for we have heard the report of Him and all that He did in Egypt, and all that He did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon and to Og king of Bashan who was at Ashtaroth. So our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying, ‘Take provisions in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them and say to them, “We are your servants; now then, make a covenant with us.”’ This our bread was warm when we took it for our provisions out of our houses on the day that we left to come to you; but now behold, it is dry and has become crumbled. These wineskins which we filled were new, and behold, they are torn; and these our clothes and our sandals are worn out because of the very long journey.”

So the men of Israel took some of their provisions, and did not ask Me for My counsel on the matter. And that was not wise. When you are in Covenant with Me, you call and I answer. Please take advantage of that. You can ask Me at any time for advice and I have given you the wonderful counselor within you who will lead you and guide you to all truth. Make use of so great a gift. If you but knew My gift you would ask Him for a drink! And with joy you will draw water at the springs of salvation, Yeshuah, for in Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I will always supply you with the right answer and innovative ideas and arguments that will be very successful.

But the Israelites were flattered and Joshua made peace with them and made a covenant with them, to let them live; and the leaders of the congregation swore an oath to them.

And this was a covenant of two nations entered into with solemn promises. The Israelites were in covenant with Me so now the Gibeonites being in covenant with My people, I had to make good the promises of My people.

It came about at the end of three days after they had made a covenant with them and sealed it with the covenant meal and rituals, that they heard that they were neighbors and that they were living within their land. Then the sons of Israel set out and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon and Chephirah and Beeroth and Kiriath-jearim. And these were beautiful thriving cities but the sons of Israel did not strike them because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by Me, the LORD, the God of Israel. And the whole congregation grumbled against the leaders.

But all the leaders said to the whole congregation, “We have sworn to them by the LORD, the God of Israel, and now we cannot touch them. This we will do to them, even let them live, so that wrath will not be upon us for the oath which we swore to them.” The leaders said to them, “Let them live.”

Then Joshua called for them and spoke to them, saying, “Why have you deceived us, saying, ‘We are very far from you,’ when you are living within our land?” So they answered Joshua and said, “Because it was certainly told your servants that the LORD your God had commanded His servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land before you; therefore we feared greatly for our lives because of you, and have done this thing. Now behold, we are in your hands; do as it seems good and right in your sight to do to us.” Thus Joshua did to them, and delivered them from the hands of the sons of Israel, and they did not kill them. But Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation and for the altar of the LORD, to this day, in the place which He would choose. Joshua 9:1-27.

But now I want you to see the benefits that flowed from this covenant with My people who were in covenant with Me. And now you are in covenant with Jesus who is in covenant with Me.

Now it came about when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had captured Ai, and had utterly destroyed it (just as he had done to Jericho and its king, so he had done to Ai and its king), and that the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel and were within their land, he feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty.

Therefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent word to Hoham king of Hebron and to Piram king of Jarmuth and to Japhia king of Lachish and to Debir king of Eglon, saying, “Come up to me and help me, and let us attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and with the sons of Israel.” Joshua 10:1-4.

So the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon, gathered together and went up, they with all their armies, and camped by Gibeon and fought against it. Joshua 10:5.

But they did not know that now Gibeon had Me fighting for them for My covenant people had made them promises that must be kept.

And the men of Gibeon did what was wise when the enemy was attacking. The men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua to the camp at Gilgal, saying, “Do not abandon your servants; come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites that live in the hill country have assembled against us.”

Remember that in a covenant each one has the right and privilege to call on the other with confidence that their request will be met to the extent of the full power, possessions, and life of the other. So Joshua went up from Gilgal, he and all the people of war with him and all the valiant warriors.

And I said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have given them into your hands; not one of them shall stand before you.” Joshua 10:8.

So Joshua came upon them suddenly by marching all night from Gilgal. And I confounded their enemies before them, and Joshua had a great victory at Gibeon, and pursued them as they fled from before Israel, and I joined in and threw large stones from heaven on them and more went down from the hailstones than those whom the sons of Israel took down with the sword.

But Joshua needed more time to take down five armies and five kings all at once, which would give them a great conquest of the land in one battle but evening was coming on and in darkness it would have been easy for those remaining to slip away.

So Joshua knew what to do for supernatural help, and so should you as My covenant people, he consulted with Me.

Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, “O sun, stand still at Gibeon, and O moon in the valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.

Is it not written in the book of Jashar? And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. There was no day like that before it or after it, when the LORD listened to the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel. Joshua 10:10-14.

Then Joshua and all Israel with him returned to the camp to Gilgal. I gave a huge victory to My people and the Gibeonites shared it with them. How? By covenant.

And I do not take covenant lightly. Later Saul and the army of Israel sought to destroy the Gibeonites but this displeased Me because of the covenant. So I brought a famine on the land for three years until this was justified. 2 Samuel 21:1-9.

And it was in Gibeon that I appeared to Solomon in a dream at night and said, “Ask what you wish Me to give you.” 1 Kings 3:5. It was there they put the tabernacle of Moses and the bronze altar until Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem on Mt. Moriah.

And once My people dwelt in the land I had promised them, having been victorious in conquest, the Gibeonites were dwelling and serving among them. They became hewers of wood and drawers of water and served My house once it was built in Jerusalem. And Gibeon became a city of refuge where the priests and Levites dwelt, Joshua 21:17, and the Gibeonites lived among them, serving in My house as well. They were loyal to My people and to Me and were still with them at the Babylonian exile and beyond. When they returned, Gibeon became a part of Judea. Nehemiah 3:7.

The Gibeonites also took covenant seriously, they never left serving My people and Me.

“Also the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to minister to Him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath and holds fast My covenant; even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer.

Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” The Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahweh), who gathers the dispersed of Israel, declares, “Yet others I will gather to them, to those already gathered.” Isaiah 56:6-8.

And Gibeon was the only place I ever made the sun stand still.

You, in Christ, are in the New Covenant with Me. And whoever makes covenant with you is joined through you with Me as well.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.  1 Corinthians 7:14.

Covenant is amazing. It is powerful. It is secure. And it makes you one to be welcomed at My throne and one to be served by Me.

What is it you need today? Just ask Me and open wide your heart to receive. I am a good Father and I give good things to My children. And that is Covenant.

Do you need joy? Ask Me to pour My joy in your heart. Do you need wisdom? Ask Me to pour Mine into your heart. Do you need love? Ask Me to pour Mine into your heart. All I have is yours.

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5.

I love you. Let Me pour My life into you so you can dance and sing with joy all your days. It is your Covenant right to have all that I have. Open wide your mouth, for I have put My Words in your mouth, and I will fill you with the Holy Spirit, which is the very fullness of God in you. We are together forever.

“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.
