Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:13-14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Reach out and touch My greatness. I have stooped to make you great.
He made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself not counting your trespasses against you. I have reached out to you as one of you in Jesus so that you could reach out and touch My greatness and become great.
What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. 1 John 1:1-4.
In the tabernacle of Moses when you touched the holy you became holy.
For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it; then the altar shall be most holy, and whatever touches the altar shall be holy. Exodus 29:37.
And how did they make atonement for the altar? By offering a sin offering on it and pouring the blood on the altar. And they anointed it to consecrate it. Exodus 29:36.
Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption by His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 2:12-14.
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
What is the way to Me? Look back at the plan of the Tabernacle of Moses, My presence was in the Holy of Holies. And you could only enter there with the blood of a spotless sacrifice that had been offered on the bronze altar. And now you enter My presence in the true and heavenly Holy of Holies, My throne of grace, by the new and living way, which is the blood of Jesus.
Just as that was the only way you could enter the gate of the Tabernacle of Moses—with the unblemished lamb whose blood was poured out to atone for your sins upon the bronze altar of judgment. The shadow that still shows you the divine plan of the only way to come into My presence, for you must be holy and blameless to enter in. And the substance of that shadow, the One who stood resurrected and glorious on the heavenly Mt. Zion from the foundation of the world casting His shadow back to the beginning, is Jesus, your true Passover, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. By the blood of Jesus you are totally cleansed, redeemed, ransomed and set free of all sin. And that is the only way to Me. If you do not have Him you are still in your sins and cannot enter My presence for sin has no place in Me.
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins. John 8:24.
And what is the Truth? My Word, which sanctifies and sets you apart. John 17:17. It is by the water of the Word you are regenerated to a new creation in Christ and then washed of the filth of the world’s idle thoughts and words by renewing your mind in the Word. Christ washes His church, His body, with the washing of water by the Word, so it is without blemish, wrinkle, or any defilement.
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19-22.
Do you see the blood and the water there? The priests of the Old Covenant had to go in with the blood but first they had to wash their hands and feet in the bronze laver at the gate to the first inner court, the holy place, and then from the holy place, the High Priest entered through the veil to the Holy of Holies, with the blood and in a cloud of incense from the golden altar of incense.
And what is the Life? The Spirit in you and on you, the same Holy Spirit by which I raised Jesus from the dead and that Holy Spirit of power in you is even now giving new life to your mortal body so that you bear fruit even in old age. The Spirit is the anointing.
I have redeemed, washed, and anointed you and that is the testimony of the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood, because I speak and see the end from the beginning.
Jesus is your Way, Truth, and Life. How is that so? The Blood (the only way to Me), the Water (of the Word, the incorruptible seed of rebirth that is watered to grow into the mature complete believer), and the Spirit (anointed with the Spirit and power). Jesus gave His blood for you to have eternal life, He is the Word by which you are born again and renewed and transformed, and He is the anointed One, the Messiah, your High Priest, and the anointing on the head of the High Priest pours down over His body.
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38.
I have stooped to make you great, for Jesus told you that you who believe would do the works He did and GREATER. And that is My Word to you. Yes, I have stooped down from Heaven to touch you with My greatness and make you great, to do even greater works than Jesus did because now you can bring people to be born again. When Jesus was walking physically on earth He had not died and been raised yet. Now He has and you can lead people to be saved and to know the truth of My Word. You can open the way for the Holy Spirit to be given them so they too enter by the Blood, the Water, and the Spirit, and then they can share it with others as well.
And let Me now tell you how I have equipped you for every good work and word.
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21.
I gave Jesus all authority in Heaven and on earth,
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.
And He gave you His authority to ask in and to use His Name to do the works.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it. John 14:12-14.
How does that work? When you ask and declare in His Name, He comes to do the work with you, in you, and for you as a member of His body on earth. I have called you to partnership with My Son, with your great good Shepherd who leads you on righteous paths, even through dark valleys of death to greatness in My house, not just in Heaven, but all the days of your life.
And I have ratified that authority.
Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My Name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My Name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. John 16:23-24.
And let us go on, what did Jesus authorize you to do in His Name, that He will do for you and I will give you?
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My Name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18.
More than conquerors in the Name of Him who loves you and gave His life for you.
Jesus had already, by special dispensation of His power while on earth to His disciples, given them what now He has freely given all believers, for all who continue, abide, hear, do, and remain in His Word are His disciples and will know the truth that sets you free.
Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness . . . These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: . . . “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:1,5,7-8.
And after I raised Jesus from the dead and He ascended back to Me, He received from Me and poured out on you the gift of the Holy Spirit empowering you to do the works Jesus did and greater. He baptized you in the Holy Spirit, just as the Holy Spirit baptizes you into Jesus, and clothed you with power from on High, just as the Holy Spirit clothed you in Christ. The double portion anointing of the church of the Firstborn! Hebrews 12:23. The mantle of praise and the oil of joy! Isaiah 61:3.
Now My question: I have fully equipped you to do the works of Jesus and greater, I have given you His Name, His blood, His anointing, and His Spirit, what are you doing with so much equipment? Are you using it? Do you ever use the Name of Jesus? Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth MUST bow to that Name.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11.
And I have also given you My armor and My Sword, for My Word is living and working, sharper than any two-edged sword (in Greek and Hebrew, this is literally “two mouthed sword,” i.e. Mine and yours, the testimony of two witnesses establishes a fact). Are you using it? Or are you sitting idle all day with the sword just hanging at your side? Or worse yet, closed up in a box on your coffee table called the Bible?
You overcome the devil only with the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of your testimony. Do you overcome or to you succumb? A believer has no good reason for giving place to the devil in their lives. And it is easy to see by the fruit and character of your lives and your conversation whether you are using the power I have given you or are letting it lie dormant within you.
The most powerful tool, weapon, defense, and key you have in your equipment is THE NAME OF JESUS. It brings Him down to do the work with you. Do you know what you have? For everything you will ever need to live the triumphant and fruitful life you were made to live is in that NAME. There is power in the Name.
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD is the greatest declaration you can make. It is a matter of life and death. All who call on that Name are saved. Forever. It is the Key to the Kingdom.
And Satan and all demons tremble when that Name is declared with faith. They must bow out for He has given you the authority to cast them out with His Name.
Peter and John were aware that in the Name of Jesus and the faith that comes through that Name, that they could raise up a man crippled from birth to go from begging at the gate to going through that gate jumping and praising and thanking Me for the glorious freedom of the children of God, healed and whole. He begged them for an alms and they responded with giving Him the Kingdom in the Name of Jesus.
But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!” 7 And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. 8 [c]With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. Acts 3:6-8.
And how did Peter explain this amazing miracle to the crowd that gathered? “And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the Name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.” Acts 3:16. Do you see? Anything you ask in His Name as you do the works and greater that He did, He will do.
And what did Peter tell the priests and elders when they questioned him about how this miracle happened?
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people, if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this Name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:9-12.
And how did the leaders respond? They commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:18. Satan will go to any length to blind people to the power in the Name of Jesus because he knows once you know how to use that Name, it is the end of his evil works, for Jesus came to undo the works of the devil and you are to do the works Jesus did and greater in His Name.
And My servant Paul knew this and used the Name of Jesus to cast out demons and it was so effective that a group of Jewish exorcists who were not believers tried to use the Name of Jesus as a formula to cast out a demon that had taken possession of a man. And what did the demon reply? “I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived in Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all and the name of the Lord Jesus was being magnified. Acts 19:15-17.
No one can say “Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit. For the power the Name generates is the power of the Holy Spirit. I anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power to go about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil and so it is with you. And the Holy Spirit testifies to Jesus and so must you. The Spirit, the water, and the blood, these three testify that eternal life is in Jesus. And you who believe in Him have eternal life.
What a wonderful Name. And I have shared it with you who believe. I keep you in His Name, for I have given Him My Name and there is no snatching out of My Hand. In My Hand you are lifted inaccessibly high, for My Name is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe, lifted inaccessibly high. Proverbs 18:10.
I love you and that is why I have equipped you with everything you need for life and godliness. Use it all. When things look threatening and you begin to fear, cast that fear out, for I did not give you a spirit of fear so it is not from Me, and you know how to cast it out! Yes you do, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
But Paul was greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the Name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment. Acts 16:18.
