I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:13-14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Things come to you faster than ever today, such as email, text, microwave, internet, phone, and so many other technological devices, but people are more impatient than they ever were before. Why? They have forgotten how to give things time to grow, they have forgotten how to wait.
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door. As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. James 5:7-11.
I am not in a hurry, but I am never late. Sarah and Abraham got impatient and made a wrong choice by trying to find a way to hurry up the result I had promised them, but acting in haste to hurry up a result I have told you must come a certain way is never profitable. It will create problems in your life that I would prefer you did not have. I can help you to get through the mess but it would be better not to have caused it. Messes have consequences.
My servants Joseph and David knew how to wait with patient endurance, both waited thirteen years for My promise to them to come to pass, but neither one of them tried to take matters in their own hands by force or rebellion. But the way they both waited was by walking with Me according to My Word and doing what was at hand with excellence and diligence, optimistic and cheerful in the face of what could have been a dark and hopeless place. They saw the joy that lay before them in My promises to them and kept on going until it would come to pass.
He sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. They afflicted his feet with fetters, He himself was laid in irons; until the time that His word came to pass, the word of the LORD refined (smelt, refined, purified) him. The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples, and set him free. He made him lord of his house and ruler over all his possessions. Psalm 105:17-21.
The wait was a time of purification and refinement, like gold in the furnace to remove all the dross. It was the same for David, for in the caves and in the hard times with his companions he learned to govern, to inspire, to encourage, to praise, and to win battles. He also learned how to live in honor and integrity without rancor or revenge. And Joseph learned the same.
If you are waiting for a promise in My Word to come to pass and nothing seems to be moving in that direction, but actually in the opposite, and that with acceleration, which was the case in both Joseph’s and David’s lives, do not despair. Keep going forward with excellence in the things at hand, whether you be in abundance or lack, health or are challenged by sickness and pain, surrounded with wonderful people or abusive disappointing people.
David knew all these and yet he sang, “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD.” Psalm 27:13-14.
Know that the period of trial will pass and I will deliver you, heal you, bless you, and promote you if you are walking in faith and doing what you know from My Word to do where you are. And hope does not disappoint.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11.
You may have had a bad report from the doctor and are waiting for results of surgery or a test, do not let go of your confidence but press forward and refuse to go off My Word. Keep your feet on the rock. Do not let the circumstances pull you into the pit. Just keep clinging to the Rock, to Me, in love and watch in love as My Word gets you through.
When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, for You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:6-8.
He was awake in the night watches and his mind wanted to worry and have fear, but David put his mind on Me and all I had done for him in the past before his current trials hit, and he clung to Me and sang songs of joy, songs of deliverance.
Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. Psalm 32:6-7.
Cling to Me through everything. Let Me hold you in My everlasting arms.
Because he clings to Me in love, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16.
And again it comes down to whether or not you are controlling your tongue. David would not talk against Saul and Joseph never talked against his brothers or Potiphar’s wife. The Shunamite woman would not speak sickness or death about her son, she had a promise of a son from the prophet and she was not letting go of that promise no matter what hit, even in the face of death. She knew, because of the Word, that not even death could have the final word. They stayed on the rock of My Word, the storm did not take them down.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25.
They all controlled their tongues and you know that if they did not talk about it, they were not thinking about it and filling their hearts with fear, bitterness and hatred, they had their attention on Me and off the impossible problem. From Me came their hope. Not from the pain, not from the world, not from the darkness, but from Me who am Light. In Me there is no darkness at all.
When in the darkness you must get into the Light. You must sun (Son) bathe in My Word. My Word is light to your path, a lamp to your feet, and the revelation of My Word gives light.
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6.
When John beheld the face of My Son as the risen Lord in his visions on the island of Patmos, where he was in what the world would have seen as a hopeless situation, the face of My Son was like the sun shining in its strength. Revelation 1:16.
But for you who revere My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. Malachi 4:2.
Remember when the butterfly gets too cold, it cannot fly, it must find a rock in the sun and rest there with its wings spread until it is warm enough to fly again.
Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31.
When you are experiencing things you never thought would happen to you because you are a believer and trust My Words, you need to step into My secret place, under My shadow, and take refuge in Me. Never think My Word does not work and you have believed in vain. No, ask Me what has caused this to come into your life and what you can do to work with Me to change that. For you know that you have been redeemed from the curse and it should not be invading your body or your life. Many times it is things you have caused by wrong choices in how you are caring for your own body, I have much to say in My Word especially in the Torah and in Proverbs of how to care for your body so it is healthy and strong.
If you allow depression to rule you it will dry up your bones. If you curse and swear it will go down into your bones. And jealousy will rot your bones. But a cheerful heart is a good medicine, and good news makes your bones fat. Giving to the poor and helping the downtrodden, looking after those who are your own, and clothing the naked when you see them will make your bones flourish. And there are things I tell you not to eat that are not good for you and things I tell you to eat that are good for you. And addictions to drugs, alcohol, or food will harm your bodies and cut your life short. And I actually command you to rest your bodies at least one day a week.
But more important than what you are eating is what you are putting your attention on and what you are speaking. For it is not what goes in you as physical food that makes you unclean but what is in your heart and coming out your mouth. If you are nursing bitterness, hatred, or offense in your heart, it will ruin your body and will close the door of your heart to healing. Anger, depression, crying in self-pity, complaining, and other negative emotions take down your immune system and open your body to illness and pain. Why? Because they are from the evil one and if you let him in to make a stronghold in you, he will bring in his unclean spirits of infirmity to camp there with him. You must give him NO part in your mind, will, or emotions.
So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting. Ecclesiastes 11:10.
If you are suffering, pray, casting the care on Me, with thanksgiving and have peace. I have you covered. And I give you guidelines to follow as well: “Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.” James 5:13-16.
Your answer is in Me, so the answer is in My Word. Read Psalm 27 and you will see your answer in times of attack.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread? When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, my adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, even then I shall be confident. One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the delightful beauty of the Lord and to inquire of Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice, and be gracious to me and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.” Do not hide Your face from me, do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation! For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me up. Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a level path because of my foes. Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.
I love you. I will never leave you or forsake you, I am with you always. Seek My Face. Be anxious for nothing just hand everything over to Me in prayer, with thanksgiving, and let Me make all things work together for your good. Expect and speak a good result and that is what I can give you.
