Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Do not let the devil use you to destroy yourself. He did this with Adam and Eve, King Saul, and Judas, and so many others to this very day. He may have done it with you and may still be doing it if you are not resisting him. Do not let him drag you into darkness when you have been born again into My own marvelous Light. It is time for you to take up your authority in the full armor of light. Wake up to righteousness and Christ will give you light.
The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Romans 13:12-14.
The devil, since Adam and Eve fell, as well as the angelic host that joined him in rebellion and was cast out of My Kingdom with him to the earth, uses people to destroy themselves. Of what am I speaking? I am speaking of the unclean demonic spirits of fear, depression, immorality, hate, bitterness, gluttony, addictions, lying, infirmities, pain, and various diseases and sicknesses. I am also speaking of the devil’s fiery darts of accusations, shame, remorse, regret, self-condemnation, and various tormenting, impure, and harassing thoughts.
If you receive and harbor these spirits instead of answering them with My Word (you trample them underfoot by confronting their lies with the truth, and My Word is truth and sanctifies you in the truth), and casting them out in the Name of Jesus, as Jesus commanded you to do, Mark 16:17, they will find a place to dwell in you. When you are full of these things and you do not command them out, that is, if you harbor them and feed on them then they will become familiar spirits to you that you become accustomed to as if they were your own thoughts and illnesses that are part of who you are. But they are not who you are, you have allowed them to blind you.
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. Titus 3:3.
And the result is they will use YOU as the agent who will destroy YOU. The saying that “you are your own worst enemy” is not far from the truth, but the truth is the devil is your adversary and you should be aware of his tactics to use you against yourself. If you do not check his activity immediately his entrance to you is a path of no resistance.
“And my hand reached to the riches of the peoples like a nest, and as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; and there was not one that flapped its wing or opened its beak or chirped.” Isaiah 10:14.
To avoid the trap of destroying your own life you must be committed to My Word, for it is only by keeping My Word in your heart as the ultimate authority in everything that takes place in your life that you will have stability in your times and you will live in a place of rest and security no matter what comes against you.
The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. And He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is his treasure. Isaiah 33:6.
What you must know is that you who believe in the Name of Jesus have authority over the devil and the unclean demonic spirits.
The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20.
The devil deals in sin because he knows the wages of sin is death. And he comes only to steal, kill, and destroy your life, that is, your eternal life. And that is what he did with Adam and Eve, but Jesus has given His eternal life in the flesh for you so that you no longer need walk in darkness but the Light, and the Light is a place of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, and that is the flow of the Kingdom of Heaven. And that is where you should be walking. You have no business hanging out with evil spirits and allowing them to hang out in you.
Many people think they are “enlightened” and smart to be rebellious to My Word and live in sin but if they continue in a life style of sin they will destroy themselves and those around them whom they influence to act in like manner.
And with many people the devil starts in when they are young and gives them rebellious and hateful thoughts about their parents. Even later in life, people will speak ill and with dishonor and malice about their parents. But I have commanded you to honor your parents and there is a reason for that, in fact, My Spirit through the apostle Paul wrote about children honoring their parents right before he writes to you about discerning the devil’s tactics and putting on My full armor of light to resist him.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3.
And the devil is stepping up in this area, encouraging it in the schools and not requiring parental input or consent to corrupt the seed and minds of their children with immorality, perversion and the discrediting of My Word and My commandments.
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
And what results from all this? Look around and you see the carnage of destroyed lives. People often began hating their parents, or at least one of them, seeing them as abusive and ruining their lives, and then hating their teachers and being problems at schools, and then once they work hating their supervisors and bosses, and eventually hating their spouses and seeking divorce. Often turning to alcohol, gluttony, or drugs to relieve the hateful thoughts, malice and torment or just the fear and depression they are harboring in their thoughts and speaking out with their mouths. Resentful and bitter they lash out at others and even at Me as the devil drives them like a herd of cattle to hell as they blaspheme and question My love and care. But they reject Me and My help, My care and My love, they reject Christ and My Word.
It starts out as a rebellious path they enjoy as they find satisfaction in hating others, swearing, self-seeking and glorification of self but then as they age, their lives turn into lives of hell on earth in their disabilities, twisted obese bodies, health problems, bitterness, and the like. And they can no longer even care for themselves but must depend on dragging others into serving their damaged bodies. And yet they still refuse to come into My Light, into the truth of My Word that I offer to all, they reject it and continue in their lies of their own ability to manifest what they want in their lives without Me.
Today you see the carnage of those who rejected or just never had any interest in knowing My Word and doing it, lying on the streets, breaking windows, stealing cars, and behavior in the realm of darkness. A confused and wandering generation filled with anger and obscenity.
But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:13.
A people of deception who think they know and have all the authority and yet they are actually slaves working for the devil, helping him to destroy themselves and others by their wasted lives. And I call them wasted lives even if they are now in positions of governmental authority or famous in the world blatantly denying Me but holding Me responsible for every work of death done by Satan. And yet if they would just turn to Me and let My light in everything would change into light for them.
What is your answer to all this? Simple, stay in the Light, stay in Christ, stay in My Word, no follower of His will ever walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:14-17.
I tell you never to let the sun go down on your anger, for the anger of man does not achieve My righteousness. James 1:20. Anger and wrath are ugly things but the sinner holds them tight. Do not hang on to things that are destroying you.
So what do you do? Never speak your doubt, your fear, your sickness in the possessive—they are not yours and they are not from Me. You command them out and rejoice in that I have answered you, rescued you, and delivered you because I looked ahead and provided for your victory and for all things to work together for your good, and if you take authority by My Word and My Covenant Names, and Jesus’ Name is just that as well, watch it all come to pass just as I have spoken. I help you by putting My Words in your mouth and you will enjoy them for they are sweet.
Learn to speak to things that come against you, not about them in complaint and anxiety but to them. Speak to the part of your body that is causing you problems and pain. Tell it exactly what to do to be functioning properly. Command twisted parts to get in alignment, bones to be strong, and tumors to be uprooted and dissolved. Command cancer to depart, curse it at the root. Ask Me for the applicable Word for your problem and I will give it to you at My throne of grace for you to speak to the problem to resolve it. Do not say what you have when you can have what you say if you use My Word in faith.
If I have commanded you not to do something, you would be wise to avoid it. For the only reason I command you not to do it is because it will destroy your life.
Live free of all that would hold you down in the darkness, why would you hang onto those things when you could live care free no matter what comes against you in My wonderful, beautiful, light and see all that comes against you fall because of you.
“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Isaiah 54:14-15.
I love you. I am present as your helper. Stay in My Light, keep all your thoughts in the light and your words as well. And then all will be well. Even in the midst of a dark world, My glory will shine on you. Just because the world is tormented in darkness does not mean you have to join them. Every day can by a continual feast for you in Me. When the plague of deep darkness covered Egypt, My Covenant people had light in their dwellings. Selah.
