Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 5:24.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
I often talk about walking out the path of your life. Your life is a path that either ascends upward or downward.
The path of life ascends upward for the wise that he may keep away from Sheol below. Proverbs 15:24.
It either gets brighter or darker.
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19.
And where the path of your life is headed and what the path of your life is filled with depends on who you are walking with.
How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it will be well with you. Psalm 128:1-2.
Your life can be filled with the extraordinary or the ordinary, the beautiful or the ugly, the honorable or the dishonorable, the precious or the cheap, but, again, it all comes down to who you are walking with, because how can two walk together unless they agree?
“Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 10:12.
I tell you of people who walked with Me and their lives stand out as extraordinary, like bright luminaries in a dark place. I walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden every evening and their lives were filled with wisdom, blessings, peace, and abundance without sorrowful toil, but then they stopped walking with Me and hid in the Garden and their lives became filled with confusion, painful toil, violence, and lack.
Later, Enoch walked with Me and his life became so blessed, so precious, and so extraordinary, that he just walked over the light line into eternal life and left his days on earth behind. And Noah alone in his generation walked with Me and his life was filled with the supernatural, he rode above the flood, and became the steward of all creation in his time.
Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:6-7.
And out of the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.
Abraham walked with and before Me and I kept him blameless in My sight. His life was filled with the supernatural and blessings of abundance without painful toil. Through him I brought forth a household of faith, the family that would become the nation that would birth the Messiah into the world according to the flesh.
Moses walked with Me, and I walked with Moses.
Your way was in the sea and Your paths in the mighty waters, and Your footprints may not be known. You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. Psalm 77:19-20.
In fact, Moses had no interest in walking anywhere without Me. He declared he would not go go forward if I did not walk with them.
Then he said to Him, “If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. For how then can it be known that I have found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people, may be distinguished from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth?” Deuteronomy 33:15-16.
When we walk together it distinguishes you, makes you stand out, as someone extraordinary. There is glory shining on you that is discernable to others – a person that is blessed to be a blessing. Everyone should see the goodness in your acts to the praise of My glory that is shining through you into the lives of those in darkness even now. It is the eternal light of life. And it is in you who have Jesus, the good Shepherd, who leads you and walks with you. He is with you always in this age of grace, the amazing age of the church, His body on earth and in Heaven.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3.
I made My dwelling place in the Tabernacle, the plans of which I entrusted to Moses, among the Israelites, the very ones that I walked with out of Egypt and led them by a new and different path through the sea. I camped with them on their journey, and led them to the Promised Land. And it was there they stopped walking with Me and their ascending path became a descending one for all but two, Joshua and Caleb, who walked through it all with Me and kept going higher until they had all My promises come to pass in their lives. But those who stopped walking with Me did not.
Since the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you. Deuteronomy 23:14.
If you turn away from Me, then I must turn away from you for you have closed the door of your heart to Me. Judas at one time walked with My Son, but when he opened his heart to Satan, he turned off the path of life and went on the path to death. I had to let him go his own way.
And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles. Acts 2:24-26.
Eternal life depends on who you are walking with. By walking with Satan, Judas destroyed himself and never got to the place I had planned for him. His name would have been there in the heavenly city written upon a precious foundation stone forever.
Let me give you a glimpse of what he missed so you may pay heed to how you are walking. Be careful how you walk, for in the days in which you live there is much darkness and evil, for the devil knows his time is short and his fury is great. But you can tread on him and live the life of the saints in light by walking with Me in the light. Do not miss your place in My heavenly city, the new Jerusalem, that will join Heaven and earth in one glorious Kingdom with all made new. Including you! Come walk with Me in the light. But remember, two can only walk together if they agree. You must stay in the light to walk with Me, for it is in the light that you do not stumble, it is in the light that your feet are not caught in the fowler’s snare. My Word alone is the light to your path and the lamp to your feet.
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper. It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb . . . The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. Revelation 21:11-14, 18-21.
Be very careful with whose report, with whose word, you agree. Of the twelve spies that went to scout out the Promised Land before entering to conquer, the people believed the report of the ten that was stout against My promises to them, and tried to stone the two that gave them a report based on My Word. And by that they walked right out of life to death.
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12; Proverbs 16:25.
When you walk with Me you are always going higher into realms of everlasting beauty, into realms of light. If you want your life to be the path to eternal life you must walk with Me. And I have given you the One to lead you, guide you, protect you and defend you. Your good Shepherd and My Holy Spirit and My everlasting arms. There is no one can snatch you out of My hand.
And in the wilderness you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked until you came to this place. Deuteronomy 1:31.
And that is why I tell you to fix your eyes on Jesus and to keep seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at My right hand. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Keep your mind above where Christ is seated at My right hand rather than focused below where the devil crawls.
Those whose pride caused them to rebel against Moses and try to take for themselves the leadership I had ordained for their benefit in him as their leader found out their path opened up as a ravine to the pit of hell. Pride causes you to fall.
It is important to stay in your own glorious path and not try to take another’s. The Egyptians found this out when they tried to take the path I opened for My people through the Red Sea, it was a path to life and not a path for those intent on death.
The devil cannot get on the Highway of Holiness and that is why that is the safest place for you to walk every day and every night. Be holy for I am holy. And when you get filled with My Holy Spirit, I will bring it to pass. I who have begun a good work in you will complete it if you just keep walking with Me. Agree. If you are willing and obey you will have the best of the land, the path of life is the highway of holiness. And it really is not hard to agree with goodness, love, forgiveness, and blessing. It is a great joy to give and forgive. Come share your Father’s joy and learn to give, forgive, and really live life to its fullest.
A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks the Way, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10.
What is the best way to prepare for eternity? Walk with Me. And it all starts with a song in your heart.
I waited, waited, for the LORD and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3.
I love you and I love to walk with you.
Come, come and walk with Me, Beloved within My light, come, come and soar with Me on the wings of the wind we’ll take flight!
