Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice, and be gracious to me and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.” Psalm 27:7-8
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Seek My Face and all will be well, shalom. The Blessing is from My face shining on you. Why? It is My gracious attention upon those who seek Me with their heart. It is My favor and it is found when My eyes connect with your eyes, for it is then you are giving Me your full attention. And that gives you My favor.
After Adam corrupted the seed by being born again to lies rather than the truth He had been created in, it finally came that that every intent of the thoughts of people’s hearts were only evil continually, they did not seek Me or answer when I called. I looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. I was grieved. Where had My family gone?
But then came a man named Noah and Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time, and he put his attention on Me and Noah walked with Me. He was aware of My presence and he agreed with My ways so that he walked the truth with Me. He stood out.
Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Genesis 6:8
And by seeking and putting his attention on Me, and doing what I told him to do, he saved the human race from dying out in sin with no redemption made. This is serious. One person who seeks My face can change the course of history. Do not hide Your face from me. Seek My face.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for your SHALOM and not for evil to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes.” Jeremiah 29:11-14.
My eyes go to and fro across the entire earth looking for hearts that are turned towards Me to show Myself strong, merciful, and gracious on their behalf. I am looking to see where your eyes are turned. Have you ever tried to talk to someone that will not let you catch their eye? You know they are mad or ashamed, and that they do not want to connect with you in any meaningful way.
Have you ever noticed that babies look to connect with your eyes? If you can get a baby’s eyes to connect with your eyes they will give you their attention and stop fussing. And if you speak to them in tongues, they respond and suddenly become mature.
If when you are fussing, fretting, crying, whining and complaining I can get your eyes on Me, then I know I can direct you in righteous paths of victory with My eye upon you. I can take away your fears and get you to embrace the answer. My face will light the way out. And if you will pray in tongues then you center your attention in the spirit and not the flesh.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8.
In My Word you see two times I described the prototypes of Jesus as having seven eyes.
“For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it,” declares the LORD of hosts, “and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.” Zechariah 3:9.
For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—these are the eyes of the LORD which range to and fro throughout the earth.” Zechariah 4:10.
And I saw in the center of the throne with the four living creatures and the elders, a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. Revelation 5:6.
Why seven eyes? They are the seven spirits found in the Holy Spirit that came upon Jesus when He was baptized in the Jordan by John.
Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD, and He will delight in the fear of the LORD. Isaiah 11:1-3.
In My eyes as you connect with them, in the light shining from My face, which is shining on the face of Christ into you, there is direction by My Spirit in wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, reverence and worship. And these will delight you and light your way. In My eyes and the radiance of My face upon you there is every blessing and everything you need for life and godliness.
To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He is gracious to us. Psalm 123:1-2.
David was the Spirit-inspired writer of this song and he lived it. Every battle, every attack of the enemy, his eyes were on Me for the strategy for victory. And in that way he never lost a battle and was never injured in a battle. From the lion and the bear, to Goliath, to the Philistines and any other nation that tried to take down My people Israel, even when the Amalekites burned down Ziklag and took their families and their goods while David and his men were going to battle with the Philistines. I gave him the directions and helped him to recover all and more.
You will notice David by My Spirit sings that just as a servant has his eyes on his master that he too had his eyes on Me until he found the grace he needed for the moment. The word used there for “gracious,” that is, that is, My grace-filled care and favor on you, is the same Hebrew word used in the Shalom Blessing I gave to Moses for the High Priest and his priest sons to bless My Covenant people with. And it is all about My face shining on you:
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them: The LORD bless you, and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you SHALOM.’ So they shall put My name on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them.” Numbers 6:22-27.
Seek My face, connect with My loving eyes for your direction and protection. And how do you keep your eyes on Me? I tell you to keep your eyes on Jesus. How do you keep your eyes on Him? You keep My Word before your eyes day and night. For He is My Word and I am My Word. We are One.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it . . . And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth . . . For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him. John 1:1-5, 14; 16-18.
As I told Moses, you cannot look into My face and live for I live above the light line but you can gaze upon the face of Jesus and in seeing Him you see Me fitted into your humanity.
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6.
Keep your eyes on My radiant face as it shines upon those whose eyes are on Me, never look away and you will not sin.
Adam and Eve took their eyes off Me and they sinned.
David for a brief time took his eyes off Me, only once in his life, and he sinned so that he disrupted a marriage, a family, and ended a life on earth prematurely. He regretted that look away all the rest of his life.
Solomon took his eyes off Me and ruined his life, his joy, his peace, and divided the Kingdom, even though I had made him the wisest man on earth.
But the good news is, even if you have looked away, you can always look back again and you will find My loving eyes are gazing on you. And when My face shines on you it takes away all the shame and all that would harm you.
They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. Psalm 34:5.
I love you. Seek My face so I can shine My love into you, grace upon grace.
They have heard that You, O LORD, are in the midst of this people, for You, O LORD, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night. Numbers 14:14.
