Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
A dream come true. The captives in Babylon longed, dreamed of My house in Jerusalem, the place where they came in contact with My glory and My presence to forgive and cover their sins by the sacrifice of the unblemished lamb on the bronze altar with the unleavened bread and the drink offering of the wine every morning and every evening.
I rejoiced when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem. Psalm 122:1-2.
To be in My house close to Me was precious to My people and important to the blessing and health of the nation and each citizen thereof. It was where Jehoshaphat as king of Judah called all the people to come and pray to Me to protect them and to inquire of Me the way to proceed when they were the target of three enemy armies banded together against them, which way outnumbered the people but did not outnumber My heavenly host. In fact, many years later, at the time of Hezekiah, in answer to his prayer before Me in the temple, I sent one angel of My vast host that took out 185,000 of the enemy in one night. 2 Kings 19:14-35.
Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD . . . Then it happened that night that the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and returned home, and lived at Nineveh. 3 2 Kings19:14;35-36.
They came to My house, cast their care on Me in trusting prayer and praise with thanksgiving and the impossible became possible. I filled their days with good.
One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty and delightfulness of the LORD and to inquire of the LORD in His temple. Psalm 27:4.
And many years later when the people had turned away from Me to idols and even put altars to their idols in My house, the devil they had turned to had access to them and My glory left the temple and it was burned to the ground by the Chaldeans and Nebuchadnezzar took My people captive to Babylon. And there it was that their hearts turned back to Me and longed for My house.
And seventy years later, true to My Word of wisdom to My prophet Jeremiah, I miraculously returned the captive exiles to rebuild My ruined house in Jerusalem funded by a pagan king’s treasury, they rejoiced to see their dream come true.
When the LORD brought back the captive ones of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with joyful shouting; then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad indeed. Psalm 126:1-3.
Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:5-6.
There is only one way you can reap the good things of My house—with joy. Joyful shouting and singing. And once they came to pray in My house and cast their cares on Me, I have Jehoshaphat My answer and, even before My promise of victory came to pass, when all till looked hopeless, he and the people went into joyful shouts, songs of praise and thanksgiving in exaltation over the good things I was about to do for them.
And if you really believe in My power to save you and know I will save you, you will rejoice and it is in the rejoicing over My Word and all I do for you by My Word that will cause you to see your miracle come to pass as you watch the wicked fall, blind eyes healed, captives set free, provision supplied, and dreams come true.
You got it! What? Days filled with good things, amazing things beyond all you can ask or imagine. It is time to dream with Me in My house.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9.
And the dream of the Israelites to return to My house, the dream of David to dwell constantly in My house as the one thing he was asking and seeking so he could gaze upon My delightfulness and inquire of Me for the answers he needed for direction and success, and the dream of Solomon to give Me a magnificent house in which to dwell where the people could seek My forgiveness, protection, provision and love every time they turned toward My house.
That Your eye may be open toward this house day and night, toward the place of which You have said that You would put Your name there, to listen to the prayer which Your servant shall pray toward this place. Listen to the supplications of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place; hear from Your dwelling place, from heaven; hear and forgive. 2 Chronicles 6:20-21.
My dream has always been to dwell with you as My own covenant family and journey with you. This is what the tabernacle, the plans of which I entrusted to Moses, was about.
Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it. Exodus 25:8-9.
And it was a dream for Me and My people to build together so that we could always be as one in perfect love, purpose, and unity—united, triumphant, and true. I gave them the wealth, all the supplies, the plan, and the skill to construct it, and then they willingly contributed what I had given them to My project and brought it to pass.
And in Jesus, who came to do My Will as His delight, He lived My dream and brought it to pass for every one who would believe in Him to become My dwelling place where I put My Name.
How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. Psalm 84:1.
Yes, now it is not just one place where My temple stands for you to come to seek Me, each one of you who has confessed and received Jesus as your Lord, receives not only the forgiveness of your sins and the gift of righteousness, but the gift of My Holy Spirit to be in you and with you forever. You are now My dwelling place and I am your dwelling place.
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 2 Corinthians 3:16.
Abide in Me as I abide in you and let us gaze upon one another and dream our dreams together in delightful fellowship. I fill your days with good and I give you songs in the night. Job 35:10.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will pursue and be with me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6.
In you, I will fill you to overflowing with goodness.
“I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people will be satisfied with My goodness,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 31:14.
How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men! Psalm31:19.
With so much goodness you will have joy! How happy are those who dwell in My house, praise is continually rising up and flowing out of their hearts. For when I open your eyes to see the wonders of the good things and perfect gifts you have in Christ, you stand in awed amazement with tears in your eyes at such overwhelming goodness. And it is then I can send showers of blessings into your life. And the soil of your heart will receive and grow them to an abundant harvest of every spiritual blessing in Heaven, but no longer only in your spirit but manifesting in every area of your life. It starts in your heart, but it does not stay there. You finally get so filled with goodness that it overflows to give that goodness to everyone around you. And it is far reaching.
How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Psalm 84:4.
Draw close to Me and I will draw close to you, for you will find Me in your heart. Spend your days and nights in Me and you will never fear again.
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You! Psalm 84:10-12.
I love you. In My secret place you will find refuge and gain new strength so we can soar together to see our dream come to pass.
Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green, to declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:13-15.
