Heed then that you walk accurately, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I am your redeemer. I redeem you from the slavery of sin and death, I redeem your life from the pit of destruction. But that is not the full scope of who I am as your redeemer. I redeem the time for you. I redeem for you all the years the devil, the world, and your own flesh stole from you. The years you wasted with wrong decisions and the years others wasted for you by their wrong decisions.

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame. Joel 2:25-26.

But how did this restoration take place for a people who had wandered far from Me, worshipped idols, abandoned Me to waste their years in fruitless lives that served evil and not Me that had opened their lives to divine justice, but above all to the enemy and so they had been devastated of all? Read back a few lines from these words of restoration through My prophet Joel.

“Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. Joel 2:12-13.

In Hebrew you will see the word “shuv (שׁוּב)”  translated various ways, it actually has three meanings that give you a path to restoration: to return (turn back), repent, and restore. And that is what I am talking about. There is another word that can be translated as “restore” as well, it is shalam (שָׁלַם), which is the root of shalom, and it means to make complete, whole, uninjured, with everything paid in full.

I redeem your time for you when you are ready to go forward. I gave Moses back the 40 years he wasted when he killed an Egyptian mistreating a Hebrew slave and Pharoah found out so he ran in fear of punishment and lived a life well beneath his skills and training far from his people who needed his help. He was eighty years old, an age most people have retired from active living, when I gave him forty amazingly fruitful years for the ones he had wasted. I redeemed the time for him when he turned aside to Me and agreed to go forward. He got on the plan I had for him since the day he was born and miraculously pulled out of the waters and raised as the son of Pharoah’s daughter.

And what I restore is better than before. He became the greatest leader of the Old Testament and the writer of the story of creation and all that followed to his very day. Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy are written by him as first hand travelogues combine with My teachings and instructions for a perfect life even while on earth—days of Heaven on earth.

He was the first to write My Words down and preserve them for future generations. And it all began with My writing with My own finger on two stone tablets and since then there have been many scrolls filled with My Words. He wrote the Torah by divine download, the first five books of the Bible really tell it all.

He became the greatest of leaders but he remained the most humble of all men on earth. I redeemed time for him so he could accomplish his assignment and receive his full reward. He never lost his youthful vigor and his eyesight as undimmed at the age of 120 years. His secret? He spent day and night abiding in My Words. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. He lived that.

I redeemed the time for Abraham and made him exceedingly fruitful, even though he was old in years, but I renewed his inner man and I did the same for Sarah.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

I redeemed the forty years for Joshua and Caleb that they spent wandering in the desert with the unbelievers for they had a different spirit, the spirit of faith. They were stronger and felt younger when they entered the Promised Land to conquer than they had forty years before when they wanted to enter by faith but their comrades held them back in their unbelief. I told Joshua the secret of how to redeem his time and that was by meditating, speaking, reading and hearing My Word day and night until it was his way of operating on earth. It made his way prosperous and successful. It redeemed the time. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions, in other words, to redeem your time.

I redeemed time for Samson. He had wasted so many years in lust and fleshly passion but at the end of his life he brought about the biggest victory over the Philistines that anyone had ever had to that time, taking all the chiefs and leaders down with one simple crash of a roof. He had turned to Me and prayed to just let him have another opportunity.

I redeemed time for Hezekiah and I showed you the sign of how it takes place. The sun, instead of advancing went backward.

When Hezekiah was reigning as king of Judah he returned the nation to worship of Me and set aside all the idols they had set up. Later in his reign, he became sick to the point of death and I sent Isaiah to tell him to put his house in order for he was about to die. Hezekiah turned to Me and reminded Me of all the good things he had done for My people and asked for more time. And then he wept bitterly. I answered immediately and gave him his heart’s desire.

Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying, “Go and say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city. This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that He has spoken: Behold, I will cause the shadow on the stairway, which has gone down with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, to go back ten steps.” So the sun’s shadow went back ten steps on the stairway on which it had gone down. Isaiah 38:4-8.

The time went backwards. I redeemed fifteen years for him. And his response was a song, “The LORD was ready to save me; therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life, in the house of the LORD.” Isaiah 38:20.

I redeemed time for Saul, who became Paul. He had been persecuting the newly born church, and caused many followers of My Son to be put to death but I redeemed his wasted time with fruitful years down to this very day for thousands upon thousands have been born again and have come to live life in Christ from his preaching, teaching, letters, and life. They know the power of the blood to cleanse them and of the Word to transform them from the teachings, writings, and revelations I gave to Paul.

I redeemed the time for Peter. He denied My Son three times with the words of his mouth and would not witness for Him when Jesus was condemned and crucified, but at the first sermon he preached proclaiming Jesus as Lord I saved 3,000 souls by the words of his mouth.

I would have done the same for Judas Iscariot if he had just turned to Me and repented, willing to go forward. But he cut his life short.

I redeemed the time for the Shunammite woman, when her little son lay dead in her lap, she ran to Me in total faith that all was well and I redeemed all the years of joy she would have had in raising her son and having his care in her later years when her elderly husband had died that she would have lost had I not redeemed his life from the pit. And I redeemed the years for her son as well by raising him from an early death. And he lived a fruitful life of honor for his mother and father. You meet him with her later before the king having all their lands restored when the returned from the county they had gone to during the famine at Elisha’s direction at Gehazi’s testimony to the miracles wrought at the hands of Elisha.

I redeemed the time for Jairus when I raised his daughter from the dead—giving him all the years that would have been stolen if the devil had been allowed to cut her life short. And I redeemed the time of her life to her and she and Jairus were disciples of My Son, fully committed as saved followers of Him.

I redeemed Ruth from her widowhood and life of lack and made her of a fruitful mother with a happy home where I honored her with a place in the line that produced the Messiah according to the flesh for she turned from idols to turn to Me and took refuge in Me. And when I redeemed the time for her, I also did the same for Naomi, who thought she had lost all in the wasted years of her disobedience of going to Moab and her sons marrying Moabite woman, which was forbidden by the Law. But I redeemed the time for her. And I did it by the work of the Kinsman Redeemer.

The Kinsman Redeemer redeemed his blood brothers from slavery and his deceased brother’s line from extinction that would come about if none married his childless wife and bore sons unto the brother.

I redeemed the time for Rahab the harlot in Jericho when she turned to Me and sought My protection, she proclaimed Me as the true God she wanted and I redeemed the life she would have lost as a citizen of Jericho when the walls fell. By turning to Me, she escaped the ban on the city and I redeemed her life. And I gave her a fruitful life as the wife of the prince of the tribe of Judah, and she too became a member in the line from which My Son was born according to the flesh.

I redeemed the time for Lazarus, as well as for his sisters, Martha and Mary, by redeeming his life from the pit. He was ready to go forward as a disciple, as well as they were, and lived a fruitful life of witnessing. And his sisters had the redeemed time of the joy of his fellowship with them.

I enable you to live fruitful lives and I redeem the time for you so you can go forward to the great life I have called you too, your high calling in Christ. But if you only waste the time I redeem for you, cluttering up and draining the ground, you will be cut down like the unfruitful fig tree.

I am your redeemer. Not just from sins, though that is wonderful for each person to be so redeemed, but from whatever the devil stole from you, past, present or future.

I redeem the time for you but I also tell you to live accurately and carefully, redeeming the time to lengthen your life. Not living in foolishness, drunkenness, and deeds of the darkness .

See then that you walk circumspectly (accurately, exactly), not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God. Ephesians 5:15-21.

I redeem time for you and but for the time to be fruitful for you, then you must redeem it as well, not living like the old man filled with lust and sin, but living like the redeemed in accordance with My good, pleasing and perfect Will for your life, like Paul and Moses. I have redeemed you from darkness into My own marvelous light. Wake up to the Light and live like the redeemed who walk on the Highway of Holiness, it is there for you. Isaiah 35:8-10.

Live accurately, exactly and precisely, not in wandering confusion but discerning what My Will is. I do not hide it from those who return to Me with all their hearts and are ready to go forward.

For some who are intent on going the way of the evil one, I redeem time for them to save them from even worse punishment than they have already incurred with their wasted lives that destroy the lives of others. The wicked cut short their lives.

I actually redeemed time for Herod by cutting his life short. I redeemed him from going to an even lower place in hell than he would have gone since he was intent on not repenting no matter who I sent to help him turn. He had rejected both John the Baptist and Jesus.

My Son told those of the city of Capernaum, who had seen His miracles and rejected him, that their fate at judgment would be worse than that of the citizens of Sodom because if My Son had preached in Sodom, they would have repented but those in Capernaum did not.

I love you. Let Me redeem your time, even that you wasted today by speeding up the flow of all t he good news I have for you. Just get out your tablet and get ready to record the vision and run with it. As  you run I will fund and I will give you the time back that the devil stole. Are you ready to put your hand to the plow and stop looking back. I was redeeming the time for Lot and his entire family but his wife kept looking back. Selah.
