Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
My Words are never just idle words. When I speak it has purpose and meaning. The revelation of My Word gives light and understanding. The first Word that I share with you in all that pertains to you is light. There is a reason for that.
Every Word I speak is doing a work and has a reason of love behind it for I am love. That is why every good thing and perfect gift comes from above for I am the Most High and it comes down to you from Me.
Love is always at work to produce goodness. Love penetrates to heal, repair, restore, renew, rejuvenate, invigorate, and raise up. Love warms and grows you and is as all reaching as the sunlight upon the earth but is also as quick in doing a work as laser light.
Think about this, a butterfly cannot fly if it gets too cold. Then it has to go stretch out on a rock in the sun and bask in the light of the sun until it has the warmth in it to fly again.
“Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahweh), “When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the LORD. Amos 8:11.
And I am My Word and no Word of Mine or a single letter or stroke of it, passes away until it is fulfilled, that is prophecy manifested in truth. I am speaking of Hebrew words here of which every letter has a meaning, a number, and power within it and every word has a root made of three letters that define the way to accomplish the Word of promise and every noun becomes a verb by changing the vowel sound of the letters that explains the noun in a fuller sense and every noun explains its verb to completion of the instruction.
When I tell you to do something it is not arbitrary or a whim. Love speaks to edify and give grace to the beloved. You are My beloved and when I speak to you it is to encourage, exhort, and edify. It is to give you mercy and to give you grace. It is to give you the help you need at the moment you need it. It is to give you the solution to your problem, your project. It is the key to prospering in your spirit, soul, and body. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions and I do this by putting My Words in your mouth and My Spirit upon you. That is Covenant. Isaiah 59:21.
When I tell something is My Will for you then you should listen attentively and obey that direction. Directions I give are not optional if you want the good result, they are laws that will work and which you cannot achieve the desired promise if you break the laws I have established to achieve them, anymore than you can prosper in the world by stealing and embezzling instead of lawfully obtaining wealth and the things that go with it.
People often are worried thinking they have not found My Will for their lives and are not in the place I want them to be. This usually means they are not happy where they are and are having doubts about their choices in life. But if you want to know My Will for you I am very clear about it, especially in the basic way in which to obtain all that pertains to My Will in your life and that is where you must begin if you want the answers you seek.
And it goes back to the basic three that remain forever. And I clearly set it out for you in three basic commands which are the law that define the steps for walking in the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance in Christ Jesus.
Do you know the answer already? I am talking of the threefold lifeline. A threefold cord cannot be broken.
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12.
A single cord of three strands braided together become one and there is the power. Ponder that treasure and I will show you great and mighty things of Me.
My Holy Spirit will remind you of the triple law that is your lifeline if you have read it before. It is important to be diligent in reading, hearing, meditating upon, speaking, and doing My Word if you want to prosper and have good success. Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3; Proverbs 4:22.
And here is your threefold cord:
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
This short verse is so important that when the verses in the Bible were numbered for easy reference, I inspired those doing the work to give each of these three strands of the threefold cord its own separate number. Strand one is to rejoice always (1 Thessalonians 5:16), strand two is to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and strand three is to give constant thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18), braided together they form My Will for you in Christ Jesus, for in Him, and knowing who you are, whose you are, and what you have in Him will generate all three strands and braid them into one strong lifeline by which I can pull you out of every pit to the rock that is higher than you. They are the key to giving you hind’s feet to run upon your high places above any attack of the enemy. They are the key of David that took him from being a refugee in dark caves running from his enemies to the height of the palace on Mt. Zion reigning over all his enemies.
Why these three that appear so simple? My Word is not complicated, it gives wisdom to the simple, for I am not a God of confusion, but of shalom. My Word is clear enlightening the eyes. Know that if I give you a command in the Bible, I will define it and tell you how to do it in many places throughout My Word. And that is the case here. And a good place to find what they mean and how to do them is also threefold, just as Jesus revealed to the two disciples on the way to Emmaus:
Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. Luke 24:27.
The Tanakh, an acronym derived from the names of the three divisions of the Hebrew Bible: Torah (Instruction, or Law, also called the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible that I revealed to Moses who wrote them down), Neviʾim (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings, such as Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Songs and the like, with those I now include the New Testament). And what happened as He explained these things to them?
They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:32.
So let us begin our walk together as Jesus came to enlighten the two sad disciples to rejoicing simply by opening My written Words to them. And you have My Words all written out for you in the Bible and by My Spirit you have your explanation and revelation if you read and hear with Him, for by Him, Christ is in you, walking with you like He was on the way to Emmaus as the risen Lord, your hope of glory, and I am in you as well and a threefold divine cord cannot be broken ever. I have sealed you in Christ by My Spirit and by My Spirit you are filled with My fullness, the fullness of the three as one and you are tied by that threefold cord and have hold of it forever.
In the rejoicing comes the anointing and the power that revives and sustains you. The anointing lifts the burden and destroys the yoke.
In the praying comes the answer you are looking for and the solution that changes everything, with the assurance that you need for the perseverance for the result.
In the thanksgiving comes the result. For thanksgiving is the catalyst that sets the change in motion.
Do you see what these three come down to in one word each? One Word from Me can open up your destiny. Rejoicing is faith. Praying is hope. And thanksgiving is love.
But now faith, hope, love, abide (remain, continue) these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13.
These three remain when all else is done in your life as you know it now in your mortal body, for you will live by them forever in Heaven. But even now the works fueled and motivated by these three are the works which are rewarded at the end of your mortal, perishable condition in your earthly body. In these three is the key to eternal life even now.
The greatest of the three is love because from it flow the rejoicing and the prayer and the bond of perfect unity with Me and others who believe.
All work by love and this should not surprise you for I am love and I am at work even now.
For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.” John 5:16-17.
Love is always working things together for good for those who love and are called according to love’s purpose, which is the salvation of all.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.
I equate prayer with hope, the anchor of your soul behind the veil, and hope does not disappoint. It is the confident expectation of the result of My Word, the casting of your cares on Me with confidence in the knowledge that I care for you, but this all comes from knowing and believing in the love I have for you. Prayer, true prayer, is based on our relationship of mutual love, from which springs constant fellowship between us as our love unceasingly flows from one to the other in communication. And in that communication, in the knowledge of the love of each for the other, in the knowledge of who each of us is in our unity in diversity, comes the hope, which is trust, and from that flows the honor in which we hold one another and share our secrets.
The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. My eyes are continually toward the LORD, for He will pluck my feet out of the snare. Psalm 25:14-15.
And in this relationship springs forth in you the confident inquiry that always brings the answer in the light of the fellowship, for I am the fountain of life and in My light you see light. In prayer you become like Me for I formed you in My image and likeness and I continue to mold you into ever greater glory if you will entrust your life to Me in the prayer of the heart.
All prayer must be based on the knowledge of My Word for I am My Word and it is from My Word that faith comes, and it comes by hearing it. But a certain kind of hearing, in Hebrew it is the word “shama (שָׁמַע),” which can be translated as hear, pay attention to, and obey.
He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14:23-24.
So we have rejoicing, praying, and thanking. How do you do that all the time? Even in trouble? Listen to David and you will learn the key that opens the door of hope in the valley of trouble.
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the LORD, the humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:1-3.
David is blessing Me at all times with praise continually in his mouth. And what you give is what you receive, a voice brings back the echo from the mountain. As you bless Me, I bless you, as you magnify and exalt Me, I magnify and exalt you, when you boast in Me, I boast in you.
I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do. Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 17:4-5.
David took possession of the promises I gave him, boasting in them before they had manifested in the physical for he first claimed them in the spirit of My Word of promise, which is just what his descendant Jehoshaphat did, when as king of Judah, he was faced with an onslaught of three large enemy armies armed for war against Jerusalem. He relied on My Word I gave him in answer to their prayer of confident trust as they cast the whole care of it on Me. And hope did not disappoint, spoke to the heart of one of their Levites in a word of prophecy and all turned out just as I told him.
Continually the great goodness that is coming to him in answer to his prayer, and he is in this way magnifying Me instead of his problem and obtaining the answer and the deliverance he is believing Me for as his problem shrinks down in comparison.
When you understand the greatness of the salvation I have wrought for you in Jesus and all I have rescued you from by My Word, you will not be able to do anything but rejoice, even when faced with what seem to be impossible situations that are insurmountable mountains. You will know that I will take care of it if you just do what I tell you.
Speak to that mountain as I tell you to do, Mark 11:22-26, and watch it dissolve before you right into the sea. There is cause for rejoicing here. 1 Peter 1:6-9. When you know you already have the victory why would you worry and be anxious over the trial? You already know the end from the beginning of it. You are confident in Me, for you know and have experienced My goodness, you know what My Will is by My Covenant Names, and you know that I will work it all together for your good.
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:16-19.
And it is in the rejoicing that the anointing comes, for I anoint you with the oil of joy as I did your High Priest Jesus, and the anointing will lift the burden and destroy the yoke of Satan that has been oppressing you and holding you in depression and fear. In perfect love there is no fear and that love comes in the rejoicing as you draw living water from the springs of salvation, Jesus who will give you a drink so that you are never thirsty again but filled with My Spirit in joyful fellowship with Me, your true home, refuge, and secret place.
Rejoicing is the eagle wings that soar you to the heights of prayer.
And how do you pray without ceasing? People that are in their first love for one another are so longing and excited to be in communication with the other that they are constantly seeking ways to talk and be in fellowship with one another. They have fun just being in each other’s presence and they share everything.
My Son in the book of Revelation takes the Ephesian church to task for leaving their first love for Me and, though faithful, finding it a dry duty rather than the fountain of joy it had once been to them. Yet I had not left My first love for them, I am always singing over you and rejoicing over you.
The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in He will renew you in His love, and rejoice over you with joyful shouts and singing. Zephaniah 3:17.
it grieves Me when you are no longer finding prayer a delight and staying in constant communication with Me but have turned your believing into a toilsome task, that is, seeing serving Me as burdensome and prayer time into a dry time of watching the clock to put in time. This will turn your life into one of mourning instead of letting the joy of My presence turn your mourning into dancing.
“Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be my helper.” You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30:10-12.
If you will draw close to Me in prayer, I will draw close to you, and there is fullness of joy in My presence. If you will really speak with Me and spend time with Me in My Word your life will become a joyful love affair, a symphony of harmony with Me.
If you know My Word you will be thankful for the promises of which I assure you. You will be grateful for the gift of eternal life with all your sins gone forever that you have in Jesus. You will be grateful for the Holy Spirit and all the gifts He gives you and you will use them, and as you do with thanksgiving you will increase your capacity to receive even greater gifts and promises. When you know you have a healer, you are not put in fear and anxiety and hopelessness if you are attacked with illness, you answer it with the truth of My Word and cast it out and shake it off with thanksgiving for your healer. Indeed, if you know My Names and call upon Me under the Name addressing your problem, I had can lift you high above any evil thing or attack and surround you with My favor as a shield. If you are not thankful for what you have, you will lose what you have, for you lose that which you are not grateful for. You do not treasure it or value it but look at it with a critical eye. And that is how many lose their spouses to another that treats them with gratitude as precious.
Thanksgiving multiplies. My Son took just five loaves and two fish into His hands and held them up to Me with thanksgiving and that transferred them to My Kingdom and you know the result. Five loaves and two fish fed way over five thousand people with twelve baskets full left over.
Remember, thanksgiving is the catalyst. A catalyst is a substance that affects the rate of a reaction but emerges from the process unchanged. And that is what thanksgiving does to enforce the victory in the face of the attacking enemy.
The people of Judah and Jehoshaphat when faced with three attacking enemy armies united as one, cast their care on Me, got My answer promising protection and that I would fight the battle for them if they would just go out and face the enemy, and they gave thanks before, during, and after the enforcement of the victory I had spoken, the thanksgiving remained unchanged. It was just as loud and joyful before while the problem was still there and looked impossible to conquer, during the time when they faced the enemy and it still looked threatening and impossible, and after the manifestation of the victory when the impossible became possible, and not just possible but completed, finished with a good, pleasing, and perfect result.
I love you. Faith, hope, and love, these three continue forever and the greatest of these is love. Stay in love with Me manifested by thanksgiving, for love is thankful for the beloved and all the gifts given by the beloved, and your rejoicing and prayer will be in place in the beloved as well. And you will find as you get a glimpse into Heaven with John in the book of Revelation that the saints there cannot stop giving thanks for the blood of Lamb that released them from their sins and brought them to that wondrous place of joy beyond all they could ever ask or imagine where they can see Me and the Lamb as they reign with Me forever and I wipe away every tear from their eyes. And it all started on earth by being thankful for so great a salvation that you embraced Jesus as your own forever.
