“Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. Isaiah 60:21.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Walking in the Spirit is all about where you are planted and what you are drawing up into your life because it is there you will build upon your chosen foundation the structure of your life and it is by the seed you plant and grow that you will determine the fruitfulness and harvest of your life.

The very first step to walking in the Spirit is to be released from your sins by the blood of My Son so that sin no longer divides us. The next is to be born again by the imperishable seed of My Word, that is, choosing My Word as the truth upon which you which to build you life, the solid rock foundation I laid at the creation of the world. All is built on My Word and in particular on the salvation I wrought to bring all creation back to new birth in Me from the corruption of sin and death caused by Adam’s submission to the perishable seed of the lies of the devil above My incorruptible Word of truth. My Word became flesh giving His eternal life in the flesh to pay the penalty of eternal death so you would not perish but have eternal life restored to you in Him.

And once you have received Jesus as your Lord, been released by His blood from all your sins, been born again from above by the imperishable seed of My Word, you are ready to walk in righteousness, doing the good works I have all prepared for you in advance that you might walk in them.

But even though born again, to even see the things of the spirit, you must clear the ground so the good seed that I have planted in your heart can take root downward and bear fruit upward.

“Then this shall be the sign for you: you will eat this year what grows of itself, in the second year what springs from the same, and in the third year sow, reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. the surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem will go forth a remnant and out of Mount Zion survivors. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 37:30-32.

The first eight Life Lessons, and number 8 signifies a new beginning after completeness of the seventh day, were about clearing the ground, which is actually a continuous project that you must be vigilant and diligent about all your life on earth. And once cleared, if you want a good crop, you must sow. And you must have patient endurance to sow and grow a harvest.

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.

There is a proper order for the growing of a harvest, first the seed must be planted, then come the roots downward, which requires good soil and a tap root that reaches an underground source of living water, and then comes the growth upward to bear fruit.

The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know. The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come. Mark 4:26-29.

And with the fruit comes more seed for you to plant and grow until you are continually bearing fruit.

Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:10-11.

And when you are planted in the eternal vine, when you are planted in My house, your fruit will endure forever, for My Word is forever. And the good seed is My imperishable, incorruptible, ever living and working Word.

The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green, to declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:12-15.

How do you walk in the Spirit and have a life full of abundant harvest? How are you planted? Let Me take you to My Word and you will see the recurring theme: righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. And in this much fruit is produced and I am glorified in your life and works.

To grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. Isaiah 61:3.

You begin to see here the way you plant yourself and the way I plant you, it has to do with being established in My righteousness as your own, the LORD your righteousness takes on new meaning to you by the revelation of who you are in Jesus. It has to do with peace, perfect peace. It has to do with joy, unshakable joy, which is not silent but breaks into song in all areas of your life. And it has to do with producing much fruit, which gives glory, that is shows My goodness, presence and power, by My Spirit, poured into and pouring out in overflow from you.

“For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into songs and shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:17-18.

I give you much insight through My prophet Isaiah. Jesus quoted Isaiah more than any other prophet. Jesus defined Himself through the Words of the prophet Isaiah when He began His public ministry in Nazareth and John the Baptist also quoted the prophet Isaiah to define himself. And if you recall it was the words of the prophet Isaiah that gave Joseph the joy of knowing who Mary was by the prophecy of Isaiah. Prophecy edifies, exhorts, and encourages (gives comfort and hope).

To let us consider Isaiah 60 and you will know of what I am speaking, and I am going to give you revelation and insights as we read it together:

“Instead of bronze I will bring gold.” Isaiah 60:17.

Bronze is the metal symbolizing judgment and gold is the metal symbolizing My righteousness. That is why the bronze altar was where all the blood sacrifices were offered up for sin in the tabernacle of Moses and that the inner court and the holy of holies were encompassed within gold boards, gold furnishings and gold utensils

And instead of iron I will bring silver, and instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones, iron. Here you see Me imparting strength (iron) and silver (redemption) and giving increase and wealth, but this is only good for you and you will only understand the following, for herein lies your deliverance:

And I will make peace your administrators and righteousness your overseers. Isaiah 60:17.

I give you peace as an administrator. What does that mean? Look further:

Let the peace of Christ rule [brabeuó (βραβεύω): to act as umpire, rule, arbitrate] in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians3:15-16.

Here again you see how to be planted in My house, attached to My vine, rooted and grounded in love. It is by peace ruling your hearts which expresses itself in thanksgiving and the singing of spiritual songs.

My peace, the peace Jesus gave you, will act as the umpire in your heart. What does and umpire do? An umpire maintains standards of play at sporting events, ensures rules are followed, and determines penalties for infractions according to established regulations. He makes the determination on close calls and his decision must be followed.

Peace is the umpire of your decisions. If you have My peace about the action or gift it is most likely from Me. And you will know in your heart if you have peace as you stand on the Word. Let My Word dwell in you richly and it will protect you heart and mind from fear and wrong decisions and frantic actions that lead to more fear and anxiety but give no peace.

When Jesus gave you His peace, He told you that your part to maintain that peace was to keep your hearts at peace, not to allow your hearts to be fearful, to doubt, and to be disturbed.

Do you recall the grounds for your peace and joy even the most challenging situations that come against you from the world, the flesh and the devil? You cast your cares on Me because I care for you and know that I cause all things to work together for your good when you love Me and are called by Me.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

And another witness, this time bringing in the righteousness:

“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Isaiah 55:14.

When you know that I accounted all your sins to Jesus and punished them on Him while accounting His righteousness to you as if you were righteous with My own righteousness by faith alone, you will be at peace with Me and yourself. Sin is no longer an issue between us, for in Jesus I knocked down that dividing wall by removing your sins away from you as far as the east is from the west.

Violence will not be heard again in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders. But you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise. Isaiah 60:18.

Do you see? You will call your walls salvation! That is Jesus’ Name, Yeshuah in Hebrew which is the word used in this passage. What does it mean your walls are Salvation? That you are in Christ! And there is no snatching out of His hand. In Him you are saved from the wrath to come. You have passed from death to life.

And your gates, the only way you enter, is praise. I even call your gates “praise,” for the praise is the gate that opens the way out of the valley of trouble to the beautiful highway of holiness where they enter Zion, the mountain of grace singing. Praise is the key of David. It turns the valley of trouble into a door of hope.

And singing praise you get filled with the Holy Spirit and My Spirit never leaves you in the dark but makes the darkness into light at My Word. As My Spirit hovered to put My Word into being, in the deep darkness I spoke, “Light be!” And Light was. And He is still the same.

“No longer will you have the sun for light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give you light; but you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and your God for your glory. Your sun will no longer set, nor will your moon wane; for you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be over.” Isaiah 60:19-20.

And then it all comes back to where you are planted, where you have put your roots and from what source you are drawing up what fills you. But only in Christ will you every be complete.                                                                                                                  “Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.” Isaiah 60:21.

Sound familiar? It should, Jesus told you this mystery the night before He died for you that you might be attached to the vine and My divine life flow into you and bear the fruit of the Spirit in your spirit:

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing . . . If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.” John 15:4-8.

Those who continue, remain, and abide in My Word are My disciples and they will know the truth and the truth will set them free in peace and righteousness. And you will sing there.

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, bring her into the wilderness and speak kindly to her. Then I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor (trouble) as a door of hope. And she will sing there as in the days of her youth, as in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.” Hosea 2:14-15.

To walk in the Spirit you need to drink of the Spirit. With joy you draw water at the springs of Salvation. You bring the water into your well by joy. And what does that look like? “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.

Do you remember when My people thirsted in the desert I told the elders to sing to the well and it would gush forth as they dug with their staffs in their hands? And their joyful songs of praise brought a bubbling well to bubble right up.

“The smallest one will become a clan, and the least one a mighty nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.” Isaiah 60:22.

I love you. Let peace be your administrator and righteousness your overseer, and that is living in Christ, walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh. Jesus gave you His peace and His righteousness, and with that you have what you need for a victorious life, far from oppression, far from depression, and far from anxiety, fear, and worry. In the world but certainly not of the world, for in the world you will not find shalom peace.

And I will make peace your administrators and righteousness your overseers . . . you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise. Isaiah 60:17-18.
