Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Be on the alert. You know not the day or the hour. Be with your lamp lit and extra oil in your flask, the oil of joy. Matthew 25:13. What sort of people you must be.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation. 2 Peter 3:11-15.
Do not let one day go by with your guard down and the anointing low. Praise and worship in spirit and truth, walking in the Spirit, the anointing, and not in the flesh.
Let my lips sing with praise . . . let my tongue sing of Your Word. Psalm 119:169-176.
Your inner being, your spirit is My lamp searching, healing, protecting all your innermost parts, for My Spirit in you is resurrection power even now and My Word heals and quickens your mortal body.
The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the innermost parts of his being. Proverbs 20:27.
Put on the garment of praise and get rid of the fainting spirit.
To grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. Isaiah 61:3.
Blessed is the servant I find busy about Kingdom affairs when I return. How do you want Me to find you? The best answer is doing My will. What is My will for your life? “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give constant thanks.” Rejoicing and thanking for what? All you have and all that I have done for you in Christ Jesus. That you have eternal life in Him, free of sin, filled with laughter and praise! Singing of the things yet to come as your sweet voice you raise! Lift your hands up high, I am El Shaddai, and I am watching over you. And you need to be alert too.
Learn from Mary the attitude of your life, “Let it be done to be according to Your Word,” and then singing out her song of praise known even now as the Magnificat.
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; for behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed. For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name.” Luke 1:46-49.
David sang the same.
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the LORD; the humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. Psalm 34:1-7.
If you are willing and obey you shall eat the goodness. The secret is in the saying, which is actually praying, that is, partnering with Me in fellowship throughout the day and night.
Today I am continuing with the gift of the Spirit known as the gift of faith.
Rejoicing is faith. And faith lives on the alert.
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith. 1 Peter 5:8-9.
Yes, faith is on the alert. What keeps you on the alert? Prayer with thanksgiving.
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2.
Alert to what? The day of the return of Jesus. Do not get sluggish and off guard because it seems delayed, like the ten virgins with lighted lamps who were nodding off to sleep waiting for the bridegroom and five of them ran out of oil for their lamps but the other five had extra flasks of oil. Matthew 25:1-13. Never let your anointing run dry through lack of faith and joy. Faith is sure of the result and rejoices. For My magnificent promises are all “yes” to you in Jesus Christ, the anointed One, the Messiah and Lord.
But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless. 2 Peter 3:8-14.
And what is the conclusion of how you walk by faith and not by sight?
You, therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Peter 3:17-18.
And how do you live in this way? Alert in the Spirit to stop the devil by faith, the victory that overcomes the world and there is only one way you can walk in that authority, by being under My authority. Just like the centurion understood and Jesus called that “great faith.” And that is what I mean by “submit to God, resist the devil, and he must flee from you.”
You submit by faith. Faith is willing, joyful submission to My Word as the truth, it is not a grudging surrender. When you are so delighted with My Word that you cannot get enough of it you will know that you are ready to go up to another level of the continuum of life.
When you submit to Me, that is, to My Words, and do them, you are under My authority and I send you to exercise My authority in the world. My Word is truth and I sanctify you and set you apart in truth. And Jesus set Himself apart for you in truth as well.
Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. ambassador for the beginning of “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:13-17
A person under authority has authority from the one who is giving it and then he can take it use it for those under him.
Faith is submission and gives permission for Me to act through you.
But the centurion said, “Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. Matthew 8:8-10.
Faith agrees with Me with joy. I permit what you permit. do not ask why I allowed something bad to happen. The answer is “why did you allow it?” Exercise the dominion authority I gave you and Jesus won back so you could reign with Him in grace and truth. Guard against thinking that blames Me, be on the alert, otherwise the devil can deceive you into doubting Me and My goodness. My will for you is to have life and have it abundantly, anything contrary to that is not My Will.
The devil accuses you to Me and yourself. But he also accuses Me to you for what he has done in your life so you won’t go after him. If you will resist him I can help you.
Under authority, and acting in accordance with that authority you have that authority. Jesus was obedient to Me and you see the results. He walked in authority. And that is what the gift of faith does for you as well.
Examine yourself: are you submitted to Me, i.e., are you walking in love with My Word? If you are saying you love Me and have faith in Me but you are living and acting contrary to My Word your actions and your words are not lined up and that will get you nowhere.
I love you. Faith lives on the alert, watch the devil and uncover him to rout him out, but more than looking for him, look for Me and in that way give him no place to begin with. Always resist him. Be alert for My Word.
