“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. Psalm 91:14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I deliver those who are Mine, those who call on My Name. Who are those that are Mine? Those who love Me and seek to know My Will. Those who have entered Covenant with Me. Those who want and seek to know Me.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:21.
Never think you are trapped in an ungodly situation. I am the LORD who delivers you. Let Me give you a few examples.
I delivered Joseph the son of Jacob whom his brothers bound up, threw in a pit, and then sold him into slavery. I delivered him out of slavery, out of prison, and gave him a palace and a life of authority and blessing where he blessed everyone in his area of the world. And his story of deliverance is still inspiring millions to take command of their lives by walking with Me.
I delivered prisoners of war to be advisors to the kings of the countries to which they were exiled and become wealthy and famous, like Daniel and Esther. And I delivered them both from edicts that would have killed them by their faithfulness to Me.
I brought three young Hebrew men who were taken captive to Babylon to walk through a fiery furnace without even smelling like smoke though the king stoked it up seven times hotter because of their trust in Me. And I sent Jesus to walk through it with them.
I sent angels to get Lot out of Sodom, I sent an angel to deliver Hezekiah and the people of Judah from Sennacherib and the army of Assyria and the angel struck down 185,000 in the camp they had made in siege against Jerusalem and they packed up and went home without even shooting one arrow at My city. I sent angels to let the apostles and then Peter out of jail and save them from execution. I sent an earthquake to open all the prison gates and make the chains fall off of Paul and Silas in the jail in Philippi so they could keep preaching the Gospel
I brought the captives out of Babylon free and clear with the funds from the pagan kings to rebuild the temple and the walls of Jerusalem due to the faithfulness of Ezra and Nehemiah and the words of My prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel.
I pulled Jeremiah out of miry cisterns and Jacob out of a pit.
Manasseh sinned, did evil in My sight, and led the nation back into idol worship. He was taken captive and put in prison in and there he repented and cried out to Me. I delivered Manasseh from captivity and put him back on the throne in Jerusalem and he tore down the idols and knew I alone was God and I was kind and merciful.
I redeemed My people out of slavery in Egypt when they cried out to Me and made a path through the sea to deliver them.
All these had something in common, they turned to Me and called upon Me to deliver them. When you call I answer. When you authorize Me to come into your life I can and I will.
“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:14-15.
Those who honor Me, I honor. It honors Me when you call to Me to deliver you from trouble.
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.” Psalm 50:15.
But do you know why you need deliverance? And what is the ultimate deliverance that you should make the goal of your life and how you train your children? You get delivered from the flesh by the spirit. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. The flesh is useless, it is the spirit that gives life. You need deliverance from the law of sin and death that is at work in your flesh. Jesus came to deliver you from sin.
For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:18-25.
Jesus, the Way of deliverance from the flesh (death), is the answer.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Romans 8:1-9.
And sin is what causes all the trouble people are in in this world. I do not need to deliver anyone from anything in Heaven. All is perfect there. Everyone there has been fully perfected.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels in festal gathering, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24.
Jesus is the Lamb slain since the foundation of the world. All time is before Me from the beginning to the end, from the end to the beginning. The revelation of Jesus as Messiah and Lord is the foundation the church is built upon, but it is also the cornerstone of the foundation of all the ages of time and eternity. The earth is built on that foundation. So you are all forgiven the day I conceived and made you but there comes a day of reckoning when you have the age of reason that you make a choice that I give to every person: will you choose life or death, blessing or cursing, love or hate, Me or the devil, Light or darkness? Deuteronomy 30:19-20. It is up to your heart but it makes a difference down the generations. Jesus warned you of the outcome:
“Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33.
He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. Revelation 3:5.
Everyone’s name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life, but if your choice is death, evil, and darkness, your name will be erased. But the good news is, if you believe in the good news of your salvation and confess Jesus as Lord you are sealed forever in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Your name will never be blotted out. There is no snatching out of His hand.
But what I want to talk to you about is deliverance from the ways of the flesh to the Way of the Spirit. Adam’s corruptible seed of death still resides in your flesh, it is your spirit that is born again. So the flesh is hostile to the spirit because the flesh knows the window of time is all it has to gratify its lusts whereas the spirit has forever to enjoy. Your spirit is made to subdue and take dominion over your flesh and keep it in line so that your flesh serves you and you do not serve it. Many are being driven, led, tormented and oppressed by their flesh simply out of ignorance that they can subdue it and have absolute peace, wholeness, and unity in your spirit, soul and body. That is why I tell you to offer your body as a living sacrifice to Me and to renew your mind so you are not conformed to the flesh but to the spirit so you know and prove My good, pleasing, and perfect Will and enjoy your life. Romans 12:1-2.
There is only one way your spirit can control the actions of your flesh and keep it in check so it does not destroy your health, wealth, and peace. And that is if your spirit is stronger than your flesh. Think about your muscles, they get strong by the right kinds of food and exercise. It is the same in the spiritual realm. If you want a strong spirit you must feed and exercise it.
Please understand, both your spirit and your flesh are fed by what you are looking at, listening to, speaking, thinking about, and permitting yourself to do—thoughts, words, and deeds is what feeds your inner man as well as your outer man.
By flesh, I am not simply referring to your wonderfully made physical body. There is nothing wrong with your physical body, it is neutral and it is good for carrying your immortal spirit and soul in this world. When I say flesh I am speaking of the spirit of the world which has no consideration for anything but its selfish desires. It is carnality. I am speaking of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17.
I am talking about keeping your mind set above on heavenly things which are pure, lovely, and of noble excellence. Thoughts and words that lift you up to freedom, rather than setting your mind on earthy, devilish, fearful and cunning things which bring addictions, strife, anxiety, and all kinds of evil behavior. And where your mind is depends on what you are looking at, reading, hearing, thinking about, and then permitting yourself to see, hear, entertain in your mind, speak, and do.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from it when he is old. From babyhood you should be teaching your children how to control their flesh by the spirit. How? By what words, stories, songs, and poems you feed them. Why do you sing nursery rhymes and songs about godless things and silly phrases? Why do you teach them fairy tales about beasts, fairies, and strange creatures when you could be teaching real life stories of angels letting apostles out of prison and holding shut the mouths of lions so they cannot harm a man faithful to prayer and to Me? Why do you tell stories about witchcraft, witches, and sorcerers when you have stories of Jesus calming storms and Elisha parting rivers with his cloak? Why are you not telling them stories of fiery chariots that take Elijah to Paradise, oil and flour that multiply, ravens that fly in bread and meat to the prophet of God, walls that fall at a shout of those who listen to Me for battle strategies, a sea that parts through the command of a man exercising his dominion authority to release Me to act, and a giant that falls to a young boy with a sling short who was in covenant with Me? About Jesus and the multiplication of the fish and bread, and the manna that fell from Heaven for My people for forty years? About water rushing out of dry rocks for My thirsty people and living water from My throne filling their little spirits full of joy? How about singing Psalm 23 so they have no fear with the good Shepherd at their side? Why settle for silly stories of angry Greek gods and superheroes that are strange looking caricatures of men when you have Jesus who is your hero and savior who rescued you out of the power of darkness and is the Light of the world? Why go to movies about avatars, aliens, and the like? There are no such things. This is demonic and will never feed a little one’s spirit, or yours for that matter. It will put fear and strange demonic figures in their little heads. It is all flesh and no spirit.
“You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, days of heaven upon the earth.” Deuteronomy 11:18-21.
And this is not just about the children. It is about you, for all of you who believe are My children. Be good to yourself. Feed your spirits. Man does not live on physical food alone but every Word that comes out of My mouth. Do not deceive yourself, ungodly shows, books, talk, chatter, and the like will render you ungodly and make you easy prey to Satan through your flesh. You will not know how or have the strength to take authority over the circumstances, storms, attacks of illness, and wiles of the devil if you have not fed your spirit. With a strong spirit you can change anything to what My Word says and call to Me in time of trouble with full assurance I will come down and rescue you, like Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah. Their call to Me and faith that caused them to praise before seeing the result gave them an impossible victory that put all the surrounding nations in fear of them because I was fighting for them.
If you want to experience miracles of deliverance, extraordinary signs and wonders, and do the works Jesus did and greater, you must have a strong spirit and that is up to you. I give you all the supplies you need to build it—My Words, the blood of Jesus, the Name of Jesus and all My Covenant Promise Names, the Holy Spirit in you and on you to teach you all things, guide you to all truth, lead you in the Way, fill you with My wisdom and My love, and tell you things to come. But if you never take time to step aside and listen, if you do not read and ponder My written Words in the Bible, if you do not talk with Me in prayer and ask questions, if you never exercise your faith and call things that be not as though they are from the promises in My Word, which are all “yes” to you in Jesus, then you will not see the wonderful things I have done and will do.
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! Psalm 107:19-21.
I love you. It starts with a cry to Me, and it is then I can come in and deliver you. Authorize Me to act on your behalf and that is when the miracles begin.
