Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts lodge within you? Jeremiah 4:14.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I have made you to rule and reign with Me, but you will never be able reign in life without ruling over your own thoughts, your own words, and your own actions.

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.” John 14:1.

If, however, you get your thoughts under control, then the rest will follow. As the mind goes, so goes the man.

For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. Matthew 12:34-35.

Thoughts are very important, do not just let your mind be wandering, thoughts must be evaluated and controlled. Thoughts can defile you or they can sanctify you. Thoughts can torment you and fill you with fear or they can bless you and fill you with joy. They can give you wonderful and creative plans or they can fill you with wicked and perverted plans. If you do not take control over your thought life it can ruin your life.

But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man. Matthew 15:18-20.

No one ever hated anyone without thinking about it and turning it over in his or her mind for many days. Stop the seed before it plants. The devil is trying to plant weeds in the wheat. See the enemy’s hand when it comes.

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. Hebrews 12:15.

You must never allow the fiery darts sent into your mind by Satan to lodge there lest they burn up all you have worked and planned for.

Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts lodge within you? Jeremiah 4:14.

How do you discern where a thought that comes in your mind is from? One very good way is by the emotion it evokes in your heart. If it ruins your joy and takes away your peace it is not from Me but from the devil and his unclean spirits. My Spirit may convict you when you have a evil thought but He will do so by edification, revelation, impartation, and exhortation. But the best way to discern is to line it up with My Word to see if the thought you have perceived is in agreement with My Words or is contrary to them.

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.

And it is also My Word that will cleanse your mind of wrong thinking.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27.

It is time that you get serious about ruling your thoughts, too many of My people are not thinking according to My Word and are losing much ground to the enemy. He is stealing their dreams, their lives, their families, their health, and their wealth and turning the minds of the mother’s away from their babies, so they even kill them in abortion, and the minds of men to perverted activities with other men and women. It is time to wash your heart from evil by the washing of water by My Word. It is time to rise up and take back your mind. Your mind is your mind and it is there to bless you, not to torment and destroy you.

I have given you the mind of Christ, that is, of the anointing. I anoint your head with oil until your cup overflows with the good things of My house. I open the windows of Heaven and release blessings you cannot contain. You need to think about these things, the good things.

It is time not only to end evil and perverted thoughts, it is time to end limited thinking so you may run in your high calling in Christ in full capacity. A gold fish will grow if you let it out of the bowl. Selah. Take off the limits, My power in you can do far more than you can imagine or even ask.

If you are not used to controlling your thoughts, it will be new to you and you will find yourself slipping back into your sluggish and lazy ways of thinking upon whatever drops in your mind without even considering the source. This is from ignorance, but I do not want you to be unaware of so important an arena of your life because your thoughts will rule you if you let them.

So let us begin.

First you must decide from where you will receive the thoughts you will allow to stay in your mind. You can receive thoughts from your spirit or from your flesh. Thoughts from your spirit come from My Spirit living in your spirit and are My thoughts, which are higher than yours. You can forsake your thoughts and take on Mine by renewing your mind with My Word once you are born again.

Thoughts from your flesh are based entirely on what you are experiencing with your five physical senses and have nothing to do with spiritual realities. They are based on feelings and emotions as well as earthly logic and analysis. Physical realities change and do not remain the same, spiritual realities never change and are eternally the same. A mind set on the flesh is set on death and uncertainty, for the flesh will die and there are no absolutes in worldly philosophies and theories for without Me there is no truth. The truth in the order of My creation in the natural all comes from the spiritual. The spiritual mind can discern all. The mind set on the flesh is limited, it cannot understand or reach the eternal.

The mind set on the spirit is set on life and the peace of knowing the absolute truth. It is the mind of full persuasion in My Word. And with Me nothing is impossible, even if the world, the flesh, and devil say it is impossible. I work in the physical world by the Spirit. For I am Spirit, and all was conceived, created, and formed by Me. And now all is sustained, renewed, and restored by Me. You can do nothing without Me. The spiritual and the physical work together and without the spiritual you cannot understand the physical.

The thoughts of the flesh are all man and no God. The thoughts of the spirit are of God and man. The supernatural and the natural work together to make the impossible possible. Molecules were made for miracles.

One of the most subtle of thoughts that tries to get into your mind is pride. Pride can hide. It can be clothed under many things, but it is of the devil. Proud people are hard to work with, hate others, are jealous, do not rejoice in the success of others, resent correction, reject both the correction and the person offering it, are easily offended, are unforgiving, are boastful, and look down on others. Pride creates a hard heart. It is the nature of the devil and Adam took on that nature wanting to be his own source and smarter than all. Even smarter than I. And this was the problem the Pharisees had in receiving Jesus though He fulfilled the Scriptures.

When pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11:2.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. Proverbs 16:18.

I gave Moses the greatest responsibility of leadership that I have ever entrusted to any person before or after him. He took a nation of over two million people out of a more populous and stronger nation that held them as slaves. The people he led out of slavery in Egypt by signs and wonders, worked through him by Me, were not trained soldiers and had never had any leadership responsibilities since they had been slaves for over four hundred years and thought of themselves as having no authority and no responsibility as well. They lived a life of forced labor, doing what they were told to do, and they had no skills in leadership.

Yet Moses took these people on a journey through the wilderness in a very organized and regimented fashion. I told Moses the exact order of the placement of their tents when they set up camp and when they took it down, I gave Moses the marching formation by tribes, I gave him the exact specifications to the smallest detail for the construction of My dwelling place among them, I led them day and night by a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire, I gave the laws and statutes to cover every area of government, legislative, judicial, and executive branches, I gave them the instructions for the sacrificial offering to cover their sins, and I gave them all the rules for a successful journey and a successful life in the land I had promised them by My covenant with Abraham. I gave them My Word in writing, and I was the first one to write it down with My own finger. And I gave Moses the honor of writing down the story of creation and the first five books of the Bible.

And what qualified Moses to do this amazing work to change a nation of slaves into My Covenant people?

He was the humblest man on the earth.

Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth. Numbers 12:3.

Moses had a heart filled with thoughts about Me and it kept him youthful and radiant. I called him My friend. He spent all his time with Me in My Word and it made him a great and mighty leader.

He thought he did not have the ability to do the work I asked him to do, but I told him the secret—I would be with him. And that was all he needed and the was all I needed to save the over two million people out of slavery, oppressed by a powerful nation. Just one person who would be willing to think like Me.

My apostle Paul got so he thought like Me. He spoke in tongues more than any of you and kept his mind above where I have seated all of you who believe in Jesus. And he told you about taking your thoughts captive and training your mind by renewing it in My Words so that you would be transformed into the new creation I have made you to be in Christ.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the demolition of strongholds. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

To control your thoughts is not a physical fight but it is in the mental arena but you are not fighting with human reasoning, that is the flesh, but with My Word, the sword of the Spirit, by which you are answering the wrong thoughts with the truth and destroying the stronghold Satan is seeking to create in your mind where he can take over your thoughts and take you captive to do his will by limiting your thoughts to the flesh. Any thought that makes you doubt My Words, like Satan did with Eve, you are to reject, i.e., take captive and expel it and then cast your care on Me and refuse to think about whatever is trouble ng you further. Instead think on whatever is true (to replace the lie, such as healing instead of sickness, provision instead of lack, etc.) and worthy of praise and rejoice in the truth, which is yours in Christ Jesus.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7.

Know that I am there to help you, even with your thoughts. And here is what you are to permit your thoughts to dwell on: Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9.

I love you. The only way you will have a life filled with unshakable joy and perfect peace is by taking control of your thoughts so they do not control you. And the good news is that you can. Your mind is your mind, guard it and cultivate it in truth. Praying in tongues helps you to control your thoughts and keep them pure and focused, open to revelation.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your [e]brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11.
